I think there's kind of a weird logical disconnect coming from people who are fervent cop supporters. Just pick any place you've worked and think about how many people who worked there took their job seriously and were actually good at it. Took pride in what they did, etc. If you consider yourself to be someone who is the opposite of that, or aspires to be, do you respect those that make you look bad, or make your job harder?

Now transpose that experience to something like law enforcement. Instead of missing deadlines, offering bad customer service, or stealing from the company, the consequences have a direct impact on the communities who they take an oath to protect. A community they have life and death power over, simply by virtue of what that job entails. I can't sit here and act like the majority of unwarranted police killings are a result of malice, but incompetence? Of fucking course that could be the case. There simply isn't enough vetting and training going on in many police departments. Maybe no amount of training could properly prepare someone for doing the job they do, but from these incidents it's more than clear that it's severely lacking.

And then there's the whole can of worms regarding what kind of laws they're enforcing, but I digress.

Since 2005, of 140 police arrested for murder or manslaughter only 7 have successfully been convicted.

I can't be happy with the verdict because of numbers like this. I'm happy for the Floyd family but... I don't feel ANY safer as a black man in America.

Not at all.

Pretty sure it's the result of malice and power abuse, especially when you consider how many of them get away with killing. It's not a good thing that despite seeing the murder on camera, people still thought Chauvin would get off. And apparently on the same day of the verdict, a cop killed a young girl who called them for help, within few seconds of getting there, without attempt to de-escalate. If she was white, they'd definitely have done everything they could to de-escalate.

Plus, if they were just incompetent, then they wouldn't be lying and trying to cover up their murders. Without people taking videos of these murders, we wouldn't know the truth. And if the cops weren't acting out of maliciousness, then they wouldn't mind being recorded.

've seen more emphasis on George Floyd's pornhub career.

And him and Chauvin being co workers than most of what is on that graphic.

Internet is a very strange place.
i dont get it.. adn that doesnt answer anythig....

that's a horrible suggestion because you can't reform the police force, not when they continue to choose to abuse their power and kill people even during a trial and on the day of a cop's verdict. Who would reward cops who speak up? Ensure they're protected from other cops? Make the risk worth it when so many cops and cop apologists could ruin the whistleblower's life or the family's?

ABolishing cops is a much better path because cops are mostly useless.
The reforms and laws are meant to curb their abuse of power. The problem within the force is the blue wall within them which will always care for their brethren. They are currently trained to act physically too soon, that needs to change.

Abolishing cops is the most ridiculous idea ever. How do you plan to enforce law in that case? The cop problem in the US is more unique, other countries have it better and function better. Unless you can suggest a better alternative to cops, abolishment is not gonna happen. Crime isnt gonna disappear.

"Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence"

I wasn't talking about this case, I was talking about police-involved killings in general. It's actually more likely that police departments would be willing to lie and cover up criminal behavior if police misconduct was due to negligence or incompetence, rather than someone being a cold-blooded killer.

Reforms and laws aren't going to pass nor will it do jackshit when cops will protect each other. Cops have way too much power that they're not afraid to abuse, and they will continue to kill Black people as long as they can get away with it. They're not trained to act too soon, and videos of them trying to calm down white people prove that. They try to de-escalate even when the white person's pointing a gun at them or chasing them with a knife, but when it comes to Black people, they jump straight to violence. Only an naive person or an idiot at this point would think reforms and laws would help.

It's not, it makes perfect sense. How do cops enforce the law? So many women have made it clear that cops barely do much to protect them, often actually assaulting the women themselves or protecting other cops who sexually assault or abuse women. They can't prevent robbery or mugging, and many people have said that they don't do shit to catch thieves.

Crime can go down. Take the money that goes to cops, billions of dollars of it, and invest it in communities. Crime happens due to poverty and lack of resources, but with funding and providing resources like activity centers, crime can go down.

I'm talking about police-involved killings in general as well. Police departments cover up their own people's behavior, especially when it's directed at Black people.

Sure, that's not the distinction I'm trying to make though. It's that much of police malfeasance is about incompetence, not a predilection towards killing people.

Gotta say, about halfway through that article stops sounding real. It's weird to think a cop would write like that and suddenly in spite of making the point that he doesn't know much about policy he makes extremely specific policy points...

This guy just claimed trans people aren't coming out in droves because they feel comfortable self identifying as trans thanks to the social justice boom, but rather because there's an agenda to push people to become trans. Like you can just do that.

As for people leaving Blue states, that's fine. Most "black" cities became black cities thanks to white flight. This is more of a "red flight" thing, where conservatives are fleeing from the LGBTQ+ people instead of black people.

And it'll be for naught when they realize trans people are gonna be a protected class, and they won't be able to just move to a state that'll let them keep treating them like lepers. Trans folk will be just as accepted as gay folk some day. Might as well get used to it.

There's no place in a civilized world for conservatism.

That is the left's definition of acceptance, tolerance and embracing diversity.

Can't tolerate intolerance.

Destiny talks to a PragerU ambassador. This is the kind of people we don't/can't/won't accept.

Who what?

But I'd love to see transgender people be protected, and anyone violent towards them be punished.

I thought Dems were leaving blue states too for states like TX because it's cheaper, even though red states borrow money from blue states.

The irony of this is that conservatives are not accepting or tolerant at all, and they actually oppose diversity, which is why the left don't tolerate conservatives.

I think for some social advancement pushes people to leave cities but I think taxes are probably a bigger deal that gets people to move cross country.

Posting a 1 hour video clip. Expecting people to watch it all.

Can you post the timestamp when the alleged "intolerance" occurred?

Diversity was left wing ideology used to push open borders.

Interestingly enough left wing supporters of open borders are trying to act as if they didn't support open borders now.

Its hard to discuss topics, when the left can't find it within themselves to be honest.

It's no singular point, it's everything she says. It'd be dumb to make like... 30 timestamps.

You think I'm being hyperbolic, but no. I genuinely believe everything she believes is repugnant.
