That would be cool as shit. Basically a defensive inverse of Mingo's birdcage.overall the idea of Luffy's awakening, the practical use, imo would be defensive in nature. much like the saying, "I'm rubber, you're glue, what ever hits me bounces off of me and sticks to you" my thought is, if Luffy does unlock his awakening, supposing he could effect, say,a whole island-turning it into one big rubber island-I think he could essentially deffend a Buster call.
How? So far rather than an awakening it seems like brook simply discovered the actual purpose of his fruit. I am not sure of what an awakening would look like for him.Rly? I think its pretty obvious.
Brook could already wander with his soul when he first got the fruit though. A major plot point with him is that his soul wandered for a long time until it found its body as a bunch of bones.I think the actual purpose of his fruit was to not let him die. And the awakened form is his current soulstatus, he can touch the souls of his enemys by music "like he said) and also exit his body in a puresoulform.
This ability awakened after centurys if i´m not wrong, so it wouldnt be an asspull either. That he is awakened i acutally thought the moment he explained his new ability. You all shouldnt be so stiff about the surroundingspart, just remind you on the impel down guards. I think it differs from fruit to fruit.
That's no different to Crocodile turning doors into sand, and to be more accurate, he simply absorbed the moisture out of wood, so I don't think he's awakened.Logica awakening is to transform object from different elements into that specific element. At this moment, we only saw Croc turned doors into sand but not buildings etc... Smoker can't transform buildings into smoke, CC fails to transform gold into gas (heating with high temperature doesn't count) etc...

no. just no. i'm sorry, but it can be interesting but it will be like in Naruto... and i don't want one Piece to end like naruto...Raising the dead?

But what if Chopper just couldn't control the awakening because it was forced by rumble ball? IMO he managed to awakening back in Drum kingdom, forced by rumble ballHow Awakening will affect Chopper
Chopper's devil fruit is one of the most complex fruits to understand due to it's name; it's called the Hito-Hito no Mi which translated into english is known as Human Human fruit, and is why people believe the point of Chopper's DF is to make him closer to being as human as possible.
However, I'll elaborate on why this is wrong, the name of the fruit is a bit of a misnomer (wrongly designated name for it's purpose) and this isn't the first time Oda has done this; Blackbeard's fruit is called the Yami Yami no Mi which is trnaslated into Darkness Darkness fruit, yet it acts like a Blackhole.
Due to this, I believe one should take the names of fruits with a pinch of salt and focus on what it does in order to gain a good understanding or hint of how said devil fruit works.
Lastly, let's be honest, Chopper looks nothing like a human; just look at how his Reindeer point changed in the 2 years timeskip:
![]()
Yes, he's standing on 2 legs, but he's still very much an animal looking form with anthropomorphic qualities.
- He has bigger horns.
- Bigger tail.
- Claws when he previously had something closer to hands.
However, can we say his "Horn Point" has not improved?
We can't because it clearly has and even Chopper himself confirms he's improved, so who are we to say otherwise? With that said, I'll continue on with Chopper's devil fruit. With that said, I'll like the focus to be on what about Chopper has improved and how that helps us understand what exactly his ability is.
What Chopper's devil fruit does despite the name
Well, as I pointed out earlier with Chopper's Horn-point, it's improved despite not looking anymore human. What is evident is that the features that accompany Chopper's new and improved Horn point since the time skip is:
Clearly, his fruit has improved his previous forms, but how exactly did they improve them?
- With Bigger horns, he's horn is more formidable and much stronger.
- He now walks on 2 feet which means he can move while using his hand as a weapon.
- With his tail, it allows him to maintain balance.
- An upright spine to support his huge horn and also to help him walk upright.
The reason why Oda named this fruit the Human Human fruit is because Human's greatest fit is that we improved, or in other words, we evolved. Chopper's fruit is based on evolution which is what Chopper has been exhibited through the obsevable changes that have occured in Chopper's Horn point.
Evolution:
Evolution occurs through a process called natural selection which is basically mutations that randomly occur which helps a species to survive in its environment. Sometimes, these mutations are good and some are bad; if these mutations are suited for the environment, these mutations help that specie to thrive.
Reindeer Evolution:
It's important to notice that the Human fruit is based on evolution as previously stated, we once started off as primate and overtime, we became what we are today though evolution. Chopper's forms have since (the time-skip) changed and become more complex and effective for the desired purpose; for him, his evolution makes his points stronger and more effective.
Monster Point:
Monster point is the pinnacle of his abilities, it's simply a merge of all his points into 1.
Awakening:
As I've stated in my analysis on awakening, it's a power that's attained only when absolute control over an ability is exercised or simply mastery over an ability. Mastering the ability awakens the devil fruit and Chopper mastering his ability would very likely evolve all his points to their highest states which essentially means even his Monster point would look a lot more refined than it currently is.
Awakening isn't a technique, it's a level of mastery. You can't be a master temporarily for a moment; it's either you're a master or not and Chopper is not which is why I don't believe awakening can be forced, or Luffy would be awakened already. But what if Chopper just couldn't control the awakening because it was forced by rumble ball? IMO he managed to awakening back in Drum kingdom, forced by rumble ball
More like from DF class to anotherI still stand on my theory that the Awakened State of DF varies from one user to another.
I can't imagine what he'd be capable of if it does awaken. That's no different to Crocodile turning doors into sand, and to be more accurate, he simply absorbed the moisture out of wood, so I don't think he's awakened.
Blackbeard's fruit probably has the most potential from an Awakening.Going by Doflamingo’s explanation, the idea of Awakening to transform their surrounding environment into the nature of their fruit, which they can subsequently control. At least, in the case of Paramecia.
In terms of Zoan, from what we’ve seen from the Impel Down Guards, they are turned into monstrous versions of the beast their fruit represents. Personally, I’m thinking Oda is going to change that and reveal that those transformations (as well as Chopper’s) are false or alternative awakenings and there is more to Zoans. We’ll see in this arc.
In terms of Logia, I think Punk Hazard is what we can expect. Basically similar to Paramecia, but the changes are permanent and elements persist even after the fact.
So with those ideas in mind…
Mera Mera no Mi - I think the result would be somewhat similar to Akainu’s, with less volcanic activity basically. I imagine that Ace’s presence stopping snow from falling on colder islands is a hint towards that basically.
Bari Bari no Mi - I think this fruit would basically allow one to make things in the environment similarly durable to the barriers.
Fuku Fuku no Mi - This one’s a bit hard to conceive. Maybe he can control any and all clothes, whether he creates them or not? Or he can just turn his environment into clothes lol.
Tori Tori no Mi: Model Phoenix - We may have seen some evidence of his Awakening with him using his abilities to heal others on Whitebeard’s island. So that may cover the mythical part. The Zoan aspect has yet to be seen. Like I said, it might be something different than what the Impel Down Guards did.
Hobi Hobi no Mi - I imagine that the Awakening will probably basically be the same thing she was doing for all those years on Dressrosa without the use of drugs to keep her awake. Another fun thing could be that whenever one of her toy people is touched by a regular person, the effect is passed on and they turn into toys.
Gomu Gomu no Mi - Basically what you said. Turns his environment into a bouncy house.
Suna Suna no Mi - I thought about this as well. I think he has more to show with his abilities, but, like with Ace, I do think he’s shown hints of it, just not on a large scale.
Hana Hana no Mi - I don’t think she’s awakened yet. I think her abilities will allow objects to bloom like she does. It could make her similar to Pica, except not limited by element or surface amount. Something like fractals if that makes sense.
Soru Soru no Mi - Pretty sure she’s awakened, but I’m not sure where her regular fruit ends and where awakening begins. Her fruit allows her to manipulate all souls, so it’s no surprise she can steal souls as well.
Kage Kage no Mi - Not sure if he has awakened, but I imagine he can just manipulate a larger range of shadows. He doesn’t have to cut them to be in control of them.
Nikyu Nikyu no Mi - Paws everywhere.
Bara Bara no Mi - Can split any and everything. Not too dissimilar from Law.
Gura Gura no Mi - Permanent quakes. I’m assuming it’d work more like Logia for some reason.
Goro Goro no Mi - Electrical currents permanently running through the environment and storms.
Pika Pika no Mi - Everything shines brightly and is probably volatile.
Fujitora’s DF - Gravity is basically nonexistent where the ability is used.
Mero Mero no Mi - I’m going to go with my idea for the Hobi Hobi no Mi. The petrification is passed on even without the user being around.
Kidd’s Fruit - The entire environment can be magnetized.
Hawkin’s Fruit - Everything can be turned to straw and maybe he can create dolls from buildings.
Law’s Fruit - Pretty hard to imagine. Maybe Room doesn’t have to be centered around the user and it isn’t limited to one room.
Yami Yami no Mi - Kinda scary, but I imagine it’s just a permanent black hole that sucks in everything around it.
