This can be the case with many ACL injuries. When you see some horrific contortion of the knee and you KNOW it's a pretty bad knee injury, it's usually with one of the outside ligaments damaged as well. The danger with ACL injuries is that you can injure it further without even knowing there was something wrong in the first place. It's crazy that he had a torn ACL. Generally, it's the type of injury where you are carried off the court on a stretcher, but he ended the previous game, walked around for a day or two, got to the warm-up for the next game and felt some pain.
It may not be as serious as the one happened to Rose in that sense. Good news for the long term?
Ah, I see. This isn't the first time I see the severity of the injury that wasn't comprehended initially. It'll probably end up giving the player deteriorated moving capabilities, as well. I don't think it's a coincidence. In other sports, you usually see the quicker, faster players having this type of injury. The perfect example is American Football, where those who carry the ball are usually sustaining this type of injury. Linemen not as much, unless someone is rolling up behind you. It's not the same, but the amount of attention a guard might get from other players is sort of similar to a skill position player in American Football - people are coming after you.Ah, I see. Now it could be the same for Rondo. Is it possible to think the guards are more prone to it, since their movements involve a lot of quick change of directions? Or is this just a pattern of coincidence here?
