I hate Kobe with a passion and also the Lakers, I dont want them to win a ring, I want San Antonio to beat them in the conference finals

you not the only one. My hatred for Kobe and the lakers can't be describe in word.

As exciting as it was for me as a Lakers fan, I have to keep it honest. Lakers barely winning game 5 vs. a virtual non-factor KG and Allen, just convinced me that Boston will finish it off in game 6.

btw, that Kobe steal was an instant-classic. It was very Jordanesque.

But keeping it positive though, I still wish Lakers can take it to game 7.

if the lakers play like they did in game 5 again then the series is over. There is no way they are wining in boston like that.

Big game today, LA could be coming home a little early today

You and your friends need to take basketball less seriously...it's ok to make comparisons, no need to fight over it.

As for this game tonight...Lakers will collapse in the fourth quarter starting the 5 minute mark. But they'll put up a fight, Kobe will score in the 30s, but his teammates won't help out as much as needed to win.

ouch.... thats all I can really say. It would of been nice if the Lakers actually showed up for the game.

Celtics were just a better team.

The Lakers collapsed earlier than I thought. I didn't expect such a huge blowout. What it all comes down to, really, was defense and mental toughness, and Boston just had the complete package. I'm happy for the "big three" finally getting their rings.

And Rajon Rondo, this kid isn't in the spotlight as much, but man...he is one of the reason Boston was so dominant.

Hopefully Lakers will get a rematch next year with Boston, because this rivalry between these two teams is here to stay.

Some offseason news:
-Knicks will sign PG Chris Duhon to the full MLE, Coach D'Antoni and GM Walsh are looking for a way to get rid of Stephon Marbury
-free agent Baron Davis is expected to sign with the L.A. Clippers, Elton Brand is expected to resign with them should Baron arrive (they're supposed to be buddies)
-free agent Corey Maggette is priority to several NBA franchises, with the Boston Celtics and the San Antonio Spurs as frontrunners...they both offer CM a serious shot at a title, but the Spurs also offer the starting SG position (since Ginobili is going to return banged up from the Olympics, plus he's fine with being the 6th man) and a little more money...not as much as other franchises are willing to pay though...it's Maggette's desicion: money or glory

I agree, but you never know....Maggette's family is known to be friends with Doc Rivers, Celtics' coach (OTOH, Corey isn't even the Celts first choice, that would be resigning James Posey....besides, CM would never start ahead of Ray Allen and Paul Pierce)

While the Spurs have remained pretty silent, it's obvious they have already reached out to Maggette.
Still, we'll have to wait and see what happens with the other free agents and the teams with lots of money to give this summer. If, for instance, the G.S. Warriors fail to resign Baron davis and also fail signing Josh Smith, Elton Brand, etc they would immediately turn to Maggette, J.R. Smith and the like.....and it would be hard for any of them to say no to such a profitable offer, even if it means spending years without a shot at a championship

Looks like Brand is heading to the City of Brotherly Love. Elton Brand and 76ers have reach a verbal agreement. Also Maggette is heading to the Golden State Warriors.
