@Tirl Mystogan? Didn't his offence basically fail throughout the series? Laxus didn't seem damaged at all (in fact IIRC he literally laughed it off) and Sacred Song failed to damage Jura even though it was cast by a much stronger Mage in GMG Jellal.

Also @lakhan220, good shout on White Witch! It might not be through pure destructive power but she did canonically KO Laxus, Jellal, Gajeel, Mira and the rest of the guild with complete ease. Kinda regretting not giving her my number 2 spot actually... that said, she might be a better candidate for hax anyway since if her drain/brainwashing spell is interrupted she's vulnerable (unless I'm not remembering correctly).

You mistake pure attack power with offensive potential. It is not power ranking. Being offensive - being more suited to battle with potenial to beat more people with less effort. Also, it is more for hax, but rules prevent me from using non damageable hax

Yep, but to interrupt her, u need the lacrimas of Pentadrakes or loli OP Wendy ....else even someone as strong as natsu was unable to do so and even the holy pentadrake too (He was caught offguard but still, she controlled such vast magic power.) . And yeah, her physical offensive abilities are next to nothing...tht is why i only added her for spell based.

Mystogan has approximately zero offensive feat, and in comparison to pretty much every post-timeskip character he's just non existant as far as power goes.

What do you mean by offensive potential? Mystogan's only displayed offensive spells sucked hard, the only one that doesn't is Mirror Water and that outright relies on the opponent 1) being strong enough to knock themselves out and 2) being too slow to avoid their own attack.

Your comment in the explanation mentioned his feat of off-screening Phantom but that just isn't impressive these days considering he's competing against characters like Laxus, Gildarts and Natsu. I mean, his Sacred Song failing to even slightly damage Laxus says everything, and Laxus has improved monstrously since then, so Mystogan is probably borderline fodder now.

As far as I'm concerned, Jacob scored a zero and got eliminated before his character was even officially introduced in the manga.

lol yeah freely picking contenders instead of determining them from the start makes the ranking look less accurate indeed, but we are talking about specific stat not overall stats. but still we can just look at the top 10 (or you can reduce/add), it's far more accurate at least.

also changed the title to Best Offense (and Best Defense, Endurance, Durability for previous one). sounds better lol

seems speedster won the poll. thanks to @XXEliteXXAceXX for breaking the tie!

(God soul + her ability to stop time makes her the biggest threat since noone except ultear and natsu can move in her time. She can basically cut off the head of the opponent in stopped time. Spell based)
