Spoiler: Ch. 72 Text [What I can make of it anyway...]

- Vetto's mana seems to go out of control - I think it's similar to Licht here
- Yami arrives just as Asta, Noelle, Vanessa and Finral are about to fall into despair and are surprised to see him as he was 'trapped'
- Yami thanks them for their work(?)
- He says something about being able to succeed their limits (maybe himself?) he applies magic to his sword, surprising Asta...
- I think Yami uses a spell (I don't recognize the name, so it could be a new one) and the result is seen in my previous post with Vetto being cut in half

Take this with a grain of salt - this is a very bad summary, there is probably more to the chapter as the full script isn't up yet and I just wrote what I believe the text was saying. Not really any new information here because of the images, but oh well...??

I can't believe Yami had to resort to killing Vetto (I don't think even he could come back from this... I mean he was cut in half by the looks of it) - he was such a valuable source of information about the WNE. I just can't even begin to think about how Licht is going to react to this, he was beyond pissed when Valtos and Sally were hurt in the previous arc, imagine how he is going to react to his brother-in-law being killed?!

My text seems to somewhat match the Korean scan... But damn that flashback was a death flag, this one and the one from ch.68. Should've known, this was bound to happen - don't think he can come back from this one. Yami - you are now forgiven for your lack of commentary for the last few chapters. Licht will probably try and get his revenge (don't you dare hurt Yami, you already hurt Leon)

But with this - the Water Temple arc is done, looks like next week will be a relatively calm chapter; let's pray Nero makes his appearance, he's been M.I.A since the beach chapter. Hopefully no cliffhanger, because next week is a double issue and I believe that means no chapter the following week.

Yami surpassing his limits with that dimension slasher! I love how proud he was of his squad and how he just won't stop being badass. I was waiting for his arrival the entire fight and he did not disappoint.

I'm curious about Vetto and Licht's backstory even more now, but it looks like Vet is done for. He reminds me of Uvogin from Hunter x Hunter a bit with the way he was dominating everyone. Idk just a thought that crossed my mind.

Idk about anyone getting killed this early yet, but I can see Gauche being captured. Licht seems to have some sort liking or plan for him, judging by how he didn't try to kill him at all. I could see the White Night Eye trying to recruit Gauche or take him by force in the future leading to a Black Bulls rescue mission, with Asta promising Marie he'll bring her brother back.. Or even something as dark as Marie's death leading to Gauche joining the WNE. Just theories

I do wanna mention though how Vetto in this chapter kept referring to everyone as "humans". I mean we know he can use demon magic but does this confirm that he's not human? What if maybe he never was, in his flashback you see Licht has pointed non human looking ears and is also talking about one day them and humans would understand each other. Vetto's teeth have been sharp since he was young, that could just be a character trait, but his look normal in the flashback and I noticed in the present they're pointy just like Licht.

Thoughts are going around on reddit that Vetto and Licht's clan have demonic blood in them - that is why he referred humans as well... humans. I have to agree, the flashback brought more questions than answers - for now we can assume they are of demonic origin, but who knows what it could be. All we have is Vetto, I say we will get more information out of Licht when he finally has a fight again; unless we come across another character from the same clan. But I am really liking the mystery here.

This fight just wants me to know more about the Third Eye group - I do hope the last one taken out is Liar though. Yuno has to have his spirit magic vs spirit magic battle against Fana though, I demand it.

Black Clover is a really good shounen manga albeit a bit dark at times. I strongly encourage you to read it. You have an interesting story focused around a likable protagonist. Some people say it's similar to Naruto. Aside from the superstar manga like One Piece, Tokyo Ghoul, My Hero Academia etc I thoroughly enjoy reading this series on a weekly basis and I'm already buying the volumes.

A common thought I've seen is if you like; Naruto, Fairy Tail and/or Bleach - you'd like Black Clover. This is my favourite series at the moment, so I'll try to be biased.

While it has a lot of shounen clichés, the characters are loveable (though beware of the one who is obsessed with his 10 year old sister). The series is pretty average for the first 20 chapters, but when you get to that point it only just keeps getting better. The art style is amazing and it's what drew me to the series in the first place, the fights are drawn well too.

While it doesn't seem to have done well so far in the west (my bet is because it has no anime and people think it's a Naruto rip... which it does seem like at first, but it isn't). It has been in the top 5 basically all year in the WSJ t.o.c rankings.

I would highly recommend reading Black Clover to anyone, I hope you enjoy it if you give it a go. (:

Yeah, with those series ending soon Black Clover may gain more popularity. As much as I love Bleach, I'm glad it's finally ending.

About the Promised Neverland, I've read the first chapter - it seems alright. But I'll wait a few more chapters to decide whether I'll keep reading it or not. Not sure if this one with last - the last time a mangaka tried to do something completely different from the usual shonen, it was axed (Hungry Joker).

It does have potential to be a good series. But after that first chapter I'd expect this to be a seinin. But we'll see how it ranks when it appears in the t.o.c rankings weeks from now. I do look forward to seeing what the top. 5 series will be a year from now.

Yes Eiryuu we have already solid ranking permament series like One Piece,Black Clover and BNA changing top 3 spots.It will be intersting to see more fresh and dark manga like Promised Neverland.May be it will be better to be in seinen because after all shounen is for kids.But horror ,gore scenes are my favourite in dark mangas.

I'm just really glad Black Clover is ranking so well. I laugh at the people who thought it wouldn't last, because guess what?? It's in the top three and sometimes outranks OP and BnHA. Sales are the main point though, I guess we'll see how it's really doing in next weeks weekly sales for vol. 7.

btw i read somewhere black clover was going to become an anime anybody know its release date ?

but aside that what will happen next will they get the jewel and will noelle and asta get more powerups like new weapons or spirits stuff like that

No anime announcement at all so far - not sure where you heard that... I honestly don't expect an announcement for a while. But they have more then enough material for a first season. Let's just wait and see. Let's hope the next cover spread Black Clover has will be for that!!

As for thoughts on what could happen in the next chapter - the arc is over, Vetto is down for good. So I believe it will be them getting the stone, maybe getting ready to go (I'm half expecting Nero to have the stone again). Hopefully they take Kiato and Kahono to the surface so they can get proper healing as well. Let's also hope Luck and Magna are alright. (: But I expect there to be a lot of dialogue.
