He does come off as shady - but I don't think he'll end up as an antagonist. We're used to seeing his kind, dorky side, so we assume he's that kind of character and when he gets serious it gets weird and you can't help but stop to think about it. If anything; I can see him dying in the future from an enemy.

He seems to actually care about and respect Yami (as we see in this chapter) and given the inner thoughts we've gotten from him in previous chapters - I doubt he'll be bad. I know these thoughts alone are not enough to convince anyone otherwise, but I really hope he doesn't end up like that in the end.

agreed the likely candidate is the golden dawn captain as he is strong and highly suspicious. ofcourse we could get a random villain fooling us all

I think Vangeance is too obvious of a traitorous villain candidate. Now it could be possible that he and Julius are both traitors. Just like Aizen and Gin were in Bleach. Julius' genuine care for Yami makes it that much more prosperously developmental, not just for the storyline, but for Yami's character development. Now that I envision it, I think Yami gets enraged by Julius' betrayal and during their skirmish William joins in and reveals that he is a traitor as well. Then, both subsequently stomp Yami together leaving him incapacitated for the remainder of the saga until the climax or final arc boss battle when Yami saves one of the protags(probably Asta) last-minute, and aids in landing the finishing blow.

I like this i really do provided yami doesn't die and actually gets married with kids to the thorn lady i don't want a naruto ripoff so i hope yami lives and beats them. we know that yami is in contention to emperor so it's possible for him to be ridiculously strong and still holding back

Nice chspter, I love Yami and Julius's relationship and him still being proud of Yami's growth. I like the note of how Yami has hopes that Asta will prove him right like how he's still trying to Julius right in picking him.

Diamond kingdom invasion was unexpected but a cool development. I don't see Mars among them but I do think I see Lotus the smoke magic guy. The Eight generals seem cool, I wonder how these three that we met are ranked among the eight, And last getting to see Yuno and William in action is gonna be awesome, Yuno needs some development so I was hoping he'd get the spotlight next. Now Asta being unable to fight means we can watch Yuno take his turn as a main character in the story, I wonder if he'll be able to defeat one of the generals, since they're supposed to be Captain level threats.

The first part of this chapter was probably what everyone expected - returning to Clover, reporting to Julius... But the bam! Here come the Diamond Kingdom.

Asta is injured and out of this fight - so it's time for Yuno!! His own arc is something I've been wanting for ages. I do look forward to seeing how this goes and if any other members of GD appear cause at the moment it's 4 vs 150.

There is a chance the pretty boy on Yuno's right is Rangils. I don't really mind if it is, I'm just excited we'll finally get to see William do something. (:

Also, anyone got any idea as to why their uniform robes are different and why Yuno has a badge. I have to say it again, but Yuno is looking good in uniform. (;

I don't want William to be the bad guy because of how obvious it is - it'd he like the 'Tobi and Obito' thing all over again.

I want the Golden Dawn traitor to be someone different, but at the moment we don't have anyone else to place the suspicion on. Given the fact Fuegoreon recognized Licht when he was attacked, he's seen him somewhere before. Charlotte, Yami, Jack and Nozel didn't recognize Licht when they saw him - Yami did think he had seen him before, but brushed the thought away. Yami and William's exchange during the meeting always gets to me, the expression on both of their faces seemed rather strange.

well that leaves a possibility that possibly the traitor will come in later in the series so its a character that isn't introduced yet

Just heard that Black Clover is getting an anime, YES. But I'm hoping they tone down the big bro incest thing, I hope I'm not the only one who thinks it's legitimately disturbing due to the age factor alone, not even counting the rest of it....ugh. The guy is practically a registered sex offender who didn't learn his lesson... Otherwise I love this manga and am happy about the anime, I just hope we don't get one season with an original ending.

Not an anime - just an OVA. But, I wonder what they'll cover... if it gets an anime eventually - it would be a seasonal. I think it's good they are doing an OVA for now; let the chaptes pile up so they have a bunch of material.

I'm not a big fan of Asta going to the battlefield. As an injured fighter he's a burden to everyone else. I know Charmy will protect him maybe (she may run off and look for food) but this development still feels forced. Furthermore, I don't want Asta taking the spotlight from Juno or miraculously saving the day. This was an okay chapter.

Yeah I want Yuno to have the spotlight so hopefully we can see some character progression for him. Rangils is there so it will be interesting to him and Finral work together if it happens. With there being three generals, Maybe we can see William face one, Yami face one, and maybe Yuno, Charmy, Rangils, and Finral take on the third. Asta can save people if he wants just let Yuno have the fighting.

Asta will just be a burden to everyone there. Charmy just wants to see her prince, but I hope she actually takes this battle seriously and I doubt she'll run off to find food. But of Yuno is this strong without using Sylph's power, I wonder how much he's improved using Sylph all together; on that note, I am loving her personality. Yami going to check out William is expected; we're all keeping an eye on him though aren't we?

Rangils and Finral reunion soon? I assumed Rangils had a savage (or typical noble) personality; but he looks pretty tame. I'm curious about the end text 'Wide range magic activates'. A hint on William's fighting style?

I was also right about a special squad (Not sure if I brought it up here though), Yuno is going up in the ranks (Golden Dawn wise) - I wonder what his actually Magic Knight ranking is.

asta may not be such a handicap at all depending on what his grimiore is. I feel the only way for him to get stronger is to put his body almost to destruction mode to break out his grimiore powers so I feel an interesting powerup is in the works for asta or a set of weapons with no need of weapons will come out of this or maybe he'll use his legs as an alternative the kid is a battle born guy im sure he can attach his swords to his legs and make up for the loss

Oh! I forgot to add - William will be close to Asta on the battlefield; he recognized his grimoire before and if Asta pulls any stupid moves, what if he recognizes any of his weapons?? I mean, someone could show up and heal him; not that I want that to happen, but it'd be nice for some of the mystery to be cleared up.

when and where did willaim recognize asta's weapons can you please link the chapter and page i don't recall seeing it.

there is prolly a healer that will heal asta so he can fight with two swords possibly three

William hasn't seen them yet; he recognized the grimoire - so I wonder if he would have any reaction towards Asta's swords if he were to see them. Three swords?? I don't think Asta will be getting a weapon this arc, I mean; where would he find it exactly??

Also; I wonder if we'll get any Yami and Lotus interaction - considering the history of 'pissing himself and running away' Lotus has with him. :L

Also; one thing that's annoying me is the whole Asta can use his mouth... uh, his swords are extremely heavy - I doubt he'd be able to use his mouth to hold them. :L

that's my point im hoping asta gets a new weapon as he needs one now

now you said willaim recognized asta's grimiore. From what i've read I believe nobody ever recognized or knows anything about his grimiore except us readers from the fourth wall/dimension

can you please attach the page link or chapter where willaim recognized asta's grimiore i don't recall reading it thanks
