Shounen Bleach by Tite Kubo

That's exactly what I am saying. Burn the Witch ended up being Bleach related. Bakuman or that other angel manga aren't. Death Note has had many one-shots/spin-offs/movies.

I have never talked about the other manga of the duo in fact, but only about One Shot.

That was hot... unlike other spin-offs/continuations- i think i'm more interested in the newer generation than the last.

the new additions look nice/cool but knowing kubo if stuff goes down they'll just end up getting one shotted. also with this new "rule" i see more captains dying (or just some returning faces)

I enjoyed the chapter a lot. Kubo's art and writing hasn't changed a bit and it was nice seeing all the old characters again. The two new vice captains were also cool and I hope they get some action in the future. Perhaps they could team up with Kazui and Ichika.

I never liked how the concept of Hell was only explored in a random movie, so giving this realm its own story arc just seems appropriate. It also seems like a natural way to introduce new(or perhaps not so new) villains into the story. It would be hard to swallow some new arrancars, quincies or fullbringers posing a threat to the cast as they are right now, but who knows what kind of monsters could be lurking in Hell or what kind of corrupted souls could be trying to break out. Kubo did Ukitake dirty in the final arc, so it's nice that he seems to have a big role in all of this.

It's obvious that Kubo still has some plans for the future of the series, but that could happen in any number of ways. A full blown manga sequel seems unlikely considering that Kubo is already working on Burn the Witch, but there could be a couple of volumes worth of one-shots, more light novels, extra content in the TYBW anime or even a canon movie. Something is definitely in the works, 100%. I'm excited.

Gotta say, I liked the chapter. The old characters, it was funny... Had that old time bleach feel. It seems like we will get a glimpse of the bankai we didn't see back in the day as well. The arc has dealt with the human world, hueco mundo, soul society, the royal dimension... It's fitting that we now see this aspect of bleach cosmology.

I am still unsure of how hell fits into bleach's cycle of rebirth tbh. So the implication is that beings that are too powerful don't go back to the cycle but rather get sent to hell?

I think Kubo has found a good balance between old characters and new ones. Also differently from other series, aside from the humans, eveyone else kept more or less the same age. It would be cool to see a few more chapters in the future, especially since the Hell dimension has always been underdeveloped throughout the manga.

I believe so. It is an interesting idea. Personally, I would have liked it more if Yhwach had emerged from hell in the final arc instead of the "shadow dimension",

My dudes this is unbelievable and amazing news seeing Bleach continuing.

Returns are expected especially with how the story was introduced about the hell plot, seeing abilities we weren't able to see and future story development makes this all the better.

So many questions, Aizen disappeared, how did that happen? Ukitake being the divine figure in hell and what's the confrontation with Shunsui going to be like?

Personally, seeing as how he helped them during the Yhwach arc it would be fun seeing him side with the good guys again but deep down inside we all know that's slim to none from happening. Nonetheless, pure excitement about this and let's get this Bleach train chugging again!

i assume it was of his own accord- considering they let him go during the final events in the tybw arc.

also with how things are playing out, there may have been some merit to what aizen was doing. Like he knew he was hell bound or something.

IIRC aizen was seen trapped in his chair again towards the end of the series. If he escaped... it kinda sounds like he would have been released right? I suppose the question is to what end...

i never brought the whole captured thing and figured he could have escaped whenever he wanted to. he just lost his motivation after ichigo beat him and decided to chill.

Loved the new chapter. The sword didn’t look like Ukitake’s shikai, maybe this is Kubo’s way of revealing some deceased captains bankai. Would be cool if previous members of the Gotei from Yama’s generation came back to challenge the current one. But I feel it will just be Unohana, Ukitake and Yamamoto. Luckily since Yhwach is used as the new soul king he won’t be in the mix.
Hopefully this will be a continuous release - possibly a monthly serialisation.
When the new manga continuation was announced I honestly thought it would’ve been one or two things, a CFOW light novel as a manga adaption or Kubo will venture more into what Hell is because it was always left really vague. I’m happy with the outcome though I don’t trust the new 7th division vice captain.

It would be weird if it didn’t continue even for a small time as it was left on a major cliffhanger, no plot points illustrated in the chapter were concluded.
the only way it wouldn’t continue is if the chapter didn’t sell.
