Its a little late but Heroaca's goods are selling like hotcakes.

Heroaca has currently been having a collaboration with multiple frachises such as Ooedo Onsen Monogatari, Tokyu Hands, Animate cafe and the upcoming Bunbougu cafe. The Tokyu Hands colloboration and the cafe have been open since Sept 15 and the good smile animate cafe have been open since the first.

The Ooedo Onsen collaboration began on Sept 1 and runs till Oct 1. In all of these collaborations, most of the goods are almost constantly sold out, Here's a twitter thread from Tokyu Hands Shibuya, which decided to extend its collaboration time from Oct. 9 till Oct. 31:

If you follow the thread back to the 15th you'll see how the goods are quickly selling out. One person on twitter said that on the first day before opening hours, they saw a huge line that has never happened before. You constantly see people on twitter lamenting how they underestimated the popularity. This twitter thread is just one location. Other locations also regularly update with this information. The bunbougu cafe isn't even open yet and its reserved for the whole month. All the pre-sale goods are also sold out. Here's their tweet:


They did early sales at Tokyu Hands and immediately sold out and continue to sell out after each restocking. They are currently in a pinch situation and are working to get the goods production running fast enough to keep up with the demand.

I honestly don't think the goods committee member expected it to be this big. One person went on twitter and was surprised as to how few goods there were. The production committee is now rushing to get new goods out. Besides the usual women and "fujos", kids are also buying the goods. Apparently, Todoroki is really popular among young boys.

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari is extending its collaboration with Heroaca until October 29th. It was previously set to end on Oct. 1 but in response to fan excitement, they extended it a further 4 weeks. Ooedo Onsen is also introducing 3 new types of goods.


This is the second extension in collaboration time after Tokyu Hands Shibuya. This shows that there is good demand for goods because big franchises like Tokyu Hands and Ooedo Onsen don't extend collaborations unless there is a really big response. Unfortunately, the sales of these goods will not be included in the yearly top media franchises as those only include manga, CD, BD and some other items. Merchandise is excluded from that calculation.

In any case, gonna post that this is the first manga I ever owned not counting a pokemon adventures manga a random family gave away to me in some vacations, I assume it was because Misty is too lewd there

I'm starting to prefer MHA: Vigilantes a lot more then the main series. It follows a better story progression then the main series which seems to need the battles in it to keep things interesting , at least that's how I see it. I also prefer the smaller cast that Vigilantes has because it gives you exactly who the characters is, their motivations for the actions they take, and what would be out of character for them without need to have some sort of flashback needing to explain the majority of it like the main series does. Also Vigilantes does the whole training to be a hero thing a lot better then MHA does because you actually see the MC in Vigilantes go through trial and error on what he can do in terms of combat, investigations, and villain dynamics. Where as in MHA we as the audience are only really told the characters are receiving these sort of lessens, but are never actually shown any sort of result of this training.

I like the main trio in Vigilantes, they are handled well but the fact that it's attached to BNHA is a double edged sword. I dislike how the writer uses characters from the main series and creates backstories for them. At times it feels like he is forced to make a nod to the main series.

I think in several cases, they don't really understand the original characters from the main series, and just use the surface to depict them. For example, Midnight is unnecessarily too lewd for no reason. And Stain. It's better not to show Stain's backstory imo.

A poll to see "which character you would cosplay as for Halloween" was conducted by animeanime. Jiro came in third behind 1st place Rem, and 2nd place Kiki from Kiki's delivery service in the female characters version. Keep in mind that the poll was conducted between Oct. 19 and Oct 22 and about 123 people participated. Men made up around 44% of total votes and the rest were women. There were many young people especially women. Around half of voters were 19 and under and 30% were in their 20s. The male character poll results will be revealed later.

Jiro received around 6% of the total votes.
