Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

As far as I remember, every trainee of the organisation must pass a certain test, which is to deal with and defeat a real Youma. This seems to be quite difficult for the trainees at first and not many survive the test, so I think all the rest who do pass and become Claymores stay in their ranks, until they're killed or vanish in some other way.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

My prediction for the comings:
Miata and Clarice go back to Org, 'cause if they join the ghosts the story loses balance somewhat, since "the Org has no oversights" it won't feel right if the Org has only 1 warrior who is not a complete weakling and can match the ghosts.. :grin2

Galatea probably goes with the ghosts, although I don't think fits with them. maybe she'll say something like she needs to hide alone for a while and heal her eyes and hands or something like that..

We won't hear what the Org plans to do about the ghosts and Galatea but we probably won't run into any of the Org's claymores for awhile..

And about the 7 ghosts, it's pretty much obvious they will keep going south... I believe that next arc Yagi will finally show us what's became of raki...:p

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

I think Miata and Clarice will be joining up with the 7+ Galatea or at the least not going back to the organization because i believe that, in sending the pair after Galatea the organization was putting themselves situation in which they would win no matter what the outcome was.

One possible outcome is they kill Galatea which gets rid of a thorn in the side of the organization. The second, and i think most likely, outcome of the battle is that Galatea gets rid of a mentally unstable and a weak claymore, thus doing the dirty work for them. The last possible outcome is they all kill each other which would tie up all the loose ends nicely.

The situation Miata and Clarice find themselves in when they faced Galatea is not unlike the one Clare, Mira, Deneve, and Helen were in back when they were sent after that male awakened being. I think Mira and Galatea are both far to shrewd to not to point this out to Clarice.

I think Galatea knows some information, and as such she can't be killed in this fight.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

But why should the organization get rid of Miata? She has a great potential and could aim for no1 (if there wasn't alicia) AND she observes the organisations rules without questioning them. She's ranked no4 because she was mentally unstable, but with Clarice, she's fine. Like the no3 and no5, they're a good 'team', and since the organization is short on warriors, I don't think they have the intention to get rid of these two.

Galatea's a defensive fighter, but will she be able to grow out a whole arm? some time has passed after all..

and on the topic of Raki, I guess he has already become stronger. maybe they even made him a half youma? Though I'm not sure if that's possible. ^^'

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

From the past actions of the organization, it seems to me they perfer the sink or swim approach to training and maintaining warriors. They've always been shown to have a bit of the survival of the fittest mentality after all.

I also assume that they realize how strong Galatea has become. She's been fighting Miata and an awakened number 2 this whole time without releasing he yoma power, while Miata has been pretty much going all out on just Galatea. I don't see how the organization could have thought Miata and Clarice would win without alot of help.

Also the organization is not really in that bad a shape if you think about it, sure numbers 30 and up are filler but they have Alicia and Beth who are supposedly the equal of a abyssal ones and numbers 3 and 5 seem to be able to handle ordinary awakened ones without difficulty. They also seem to be the types with quite a few aces up their sleeves and who knows what those could be. Which leads me to believe that when the 7+whoever have there fight against the organization the bad guys probably won't at much of a disadvantage if any.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

There are just to many unknown factors to tell, how balanced the sites are. Of course it depends on Yagi if he wants to finish this manga soon. But there is also a lot of space for strong opponents from the organisation. First of all we don't know how the Organisation and the Awakened are connected and what power the male leader of the org are. And besides all of that I think Rafaela hide a lot of her real power and I consider her to be on equal level with Teresa.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

That's true, I've been wondering about the leaders of the organisation for while now and I think it's almost impossible that they're 'normal' humans. My guess would be that the leaders are youma by themselves and setting up small fry, creating Claymores to deal with them in order to get money in a legal way. Teresa mentioned something like this, though it has not been confirmed. So it's just my guess.

Rafaela not using her full powers, yes. We haven't seen her fight yet and we know she could easily fill a higher rank than being #5 and if we take the Zema twins (Alicia and Beth) as a base of assuming that both Rafaela and Luciella are of equal level, then we know that Rafaela is #1 material and qualifies as an abyssal if she awakens (although the question of latent potential arises)

As for putting her on equal grounds with Teresa, well, I doubt that since Teresa's handler declared Teresa as being the strongest Claymore among all their warriors (even among all creatures) although Rafaela's powers was already known to them since Rafaela is older than Teresa claymore-age-wise.

Ahh.. the next chapter might pop out any time now. I am excited! :clap

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

I can't remember that Rafaela was ever supposed to fight. If I remember correct she had the same duty as one of the Zema twins (so just help control Luciela as an Awakend One). There is a high possibility that she was more powerful as the Org. thought. Or she got more powerfull after the accident with her sister. Because we see it all the time, that the power of a claymore changes if they learn how to use they specific ability.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Teresa easily took out on her own the awakened former no 1(it's almost like an abbysal one), so I think no matter how strong Rafaela might be she is still below Teresa.

Eeeek. Maybe Yagi's extending the fight to use it as a tool for making Agatha spill some beans. Maybe Agatha knows some org secrets as well.

Yep. However, Riful's tentacles are ribbon like while Agatha's seems to be cylindrical (rounded).

Oh yeah but ch#78 is just so close that I am a bit distracted and the moment ch#78 is out, this discussion would be put on halt :p

The problem with any speculation about the org is that we have so little information about them especially if you meant speculation about the nature of the guys running the org but bring it ON!! :whoo

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Ok, first of all. I think all of you recognized till now, that the normal yoma are much weaker than the Awakened Form of the Claymores. Why would it be so, if Claymore are supposed to be made out of yomas? Logically it would mean Claymores should been weaker then normal Yomas, but they aren't. So it means the Org have its own way to strengthen them. Furthermore is to consider that there is no Information of how Yomas reproduce themselves (and according to Wikipedia Yomas are always male).
So this is what I thought of. If the Org is making the normal Yomas, (lets say for examples out of some animals) that way that they attack villages/towns. The conclusion would be the people would do everything to do something against the Yomas for example pay big money for Soldiers. And because no normal human can stand again a yoma the are some superhumans needed. Someone like Claymores. So the Org is playing a game with the people. On the one side they attack them with normal Yomas and kill them with Claymores for money.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

My opinion about claymores though is that they are naturally stronger than yomas. Not thinking of them as half-breeds (thus inferior), but hybrids. Yomas can't think properly, but if they had brains like humans they'd be deadly. I don't think the organization adds any more to the claymore. Even with the twins they didn't add anything.
