In the very first chapter Clare mentions something, when slaying the first yoma in the series, about how by putting a monsters blood in a humans frail body the half-yoma gain speed that the yoma can't match and by adding the flesh of a monster they gain the strength to wield their swords or something to that effect.

I like that theory of the organization making yoma though, that would explain alot. I don't think those creepy dudes are fully human, they're always talking like they have been watching claymores for waaaay longer than the human lifespan, i'm hoping Galatea can shed some light on exactly who or what they are.

Does anybody know what Mira was talking about when she said she had discovered the organizations "greatest secret" way back after the organization sent them on that first awakened being hunt/suicide mission?

hm.. come to think of it, have u guys noticed how the mysterious ppl from the organization always look the same throughout the manga in the present moment and in the flashbacks? That must mean they don't age neither o.o so who knows how old they actually are,,

But why Galatea? I think Miria is closer to the truth than she is. Of course, we don't know what the truth is yet.. i'm surprised no one in the fab 7 bothered to ask her in the 7 years they were together! They are all exiles now anyways, what's the harm of knowing more about them?

anyways, i like that theory as well! But it is kinna ironic, for the organization to create the yoma and the claymores, only to have to create stronger claymores to kill off the awakened beings.

my speculation
the organization is seeking for.. world domination! *duh* :P

so it could be that yoma's were already there in the first place, but humans weren't their natural food source cuz they weren't able to take the shape of their victim (imagine that they are more like our sharks and lions). But the organization (aka the world domination wannabes) started experimenting with them (to make an army to dominate the world of course! what else? :P). Some of these guinea pigs got lose and started to breed with the normal yomas, resulting in "super" yomas that are more able to successfully blend into human colonies. With that, more and more people got killed by these new breed of yomas.

In an attempt to prevent these yomas from killing all human civilization, the organization created half breeds - claymores - to wipe them out. But consequently, as we know, these half breeds are not very stable and they themselves turn into awakened beings, which are more powerful and smater than your average genetically-modified-yomas and are just as blood thirsty for human guts. So a lot of claymores turned into awakened beings and joined the group of human killers.

Of course, the organization can't dominate the world if they can be easily toppled over by an army of awakened beings. Their solution: they created claymores from twins. And as we've seen, they are quite efficient in killing off the awakened ones. But of course, just cultivating the 2 girls requires a huge amount of time and effort. Not to mention they are extremely unstable and vulnerable as well (as seen with Rafaelea and her sis).

SO world domination plans are currently put on hold until they create a much more stable army to wipe out all possible opposition. aka the mysterious Clarice who may or may not have mysterious powers.. >.>

I thought that those creepy guys from the Org and trainers are male Claymores. They quit fighting from well known reasons and after that they started "producing" female Claymores.

Good chapter, everything i was hoping happened, agatha never stod a chance agains 7 very strong claymores and in addiction we got to see the reunion between Galatea and Claire.Hopefully Galatea has some info about the organization or at least about Isley/Priscilla/Raki and she is joining the group since if she stays in the city she will hunted and killed by the organization.

For more info, it is published in the Jump SQ. The Jump SQ is out on every 4th of the months.

Hmm? Claymore always has around thirty pages or so... Which is standard Jump SQ size, not all that much for a monthly series (they often have over fourty pages in other monthly magazines~). Where did you get nineteen from?

We don't know how the amount of yoma flesh used in making a claymore would influence the strength of a claymore. Actually, it shouldn't be relevant anyway since all claymores except for Clare are 1/2 yoma yet the power varies greatly. I used to wonder about why some claymores are better than others. I think that it was due to the quality of the yoma flesh used and the human body compatibility to take on that flesh. Basically, it's how well the human body of the claymore would be compatible with the yoma flesh to fully utilize it so it's like saying that Teresa/Priscilla had great compatibility with the yoma flesh infested in them. However somehow, I feel that the quality of the yoma flesh seems irrelevant as well.

Clare's situation is unique anyway. She didn't inherit any yoma! She inherited the flesh of the strongest Claymore and it seemed that her compatibility wasn't good at first until she half-awakened that's when one of Teresa's traits came into existence, that is acute yoki sensing. A sign of better compatibility and she kept getting better and better. I do believe that half-awakening is a huge advantage since Miria said that the quality of their yoki is now better altho they no longer use it now but it's a sign that things are getting better for them since yoki is the main drive of a claymore.
