Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Now that the spoiler has been really proven for being true...
God, so amazing how Yagi-san comes up with something that does not follow much of any predictions...
Well, for this time maybe it was too jumping for anyone to predict that...

anyways, at the top Cynthia seem to be diagnosing Galatea's eyes.
Does she have some kind of ability regarding healing/regenerating?

Galatea and Cynthia are both defensive type warriors, so they have good regeneration abilities. Technically, all claymores have regeneration abilities.

In that scene, Cynthia volunteers to help Galatea heal faster by "syncing" with Galatea's yoki.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

O.O I. am. shocked.

well, so outside their little island, the non humans are battling humans for supremacy for hundreds of years. In defence, the human side created monsters who has an appetite for human guts. Interesting. No wonder they couldn't control these monsters...

The more I think about it, the more likely it is that Isley knows everything and has either decided to
1. topple the organization for their ill treatment of mostly everyone on the island or
2. become King of their little island which comes with its own military power..
either way, Priscilla might actually be on the fab7's side all this while..

But there is still somethings I find unbelivable. The fab 7 has been hiding out in the North for around 7 years now right? (or was it 9..) sure they have been set on avenging their fallen comrades all this while. But why hasn't any of them thought of the consequences of taking down the org? I understand if one of them exclaims that she never thought of it, and Clare not saying anything was understandable since she just wants to find Raki and kill Priscilla,, but what of the other 4? Did they just single mindedly follow Miria's orders everyday for those 7 years in hiding without thinking of the consequences? Except for Clare, didn't any of them ever thought of discussing the matter with Miria? O.o

I reckon the mangaka should have spent more time thinking this through before releasing this chapter.. maybe that's why it wasn't released last month :P But he could have made it that the Fab 7 had already known all this when Miria told Galatea about it. or something like that..

oh well. I'm still shocked. I initially thought it was some sort of alien invasion when miria indicated that it was out of this world. lol.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

consequences as in
destroying the organization and leaving the humans vulnerable against yomas.
The ones stated by Galatea before they were countered by Miria with her shocking findings which she has somehow decided to keep secret from the others over the last 7 years.

spoiler boxes :P

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Wow what an amazing twist on the story line.
Now I’m just wandering could every generation of claymore be a new type of experiment and Alicia could be the final piece I mean she won’t attack humans and has the power of an abyssal one.
And that basically means that all humans on the island are like lab rats to the org (creepy)

There still isn't a Japanese RAW out for chapter 79, so you'll have to wait for that to be released. If you want, see if you can find the Chinese RAW and read it from there.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

OMG This is so awesome! I Really liked this chapter.
I already feared the story would end soon but this twist gives it a new direction.

I can't wait to see if they ever enter those other countries or if those are already annihilated. But I already thought the organisation would create Yomas to have a never ending prey to earn money or something.

About the fab7. I think they all had the thought of destroying the organisation at least once. But it was simply to ridicolus to do so they forgot it right away.

I hope we get a trans soon so I can leave the spoiler bars ^^

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Bleh, for such an important revelation, it came off as a bit cheesy the way it was presented - in the middle of town surrounded by soldiers after a battle, and worst of all done with a monologue. I guess you'd expect something like this from a Shonen, but I had hoped Claymore would make a break from this kind of stuff.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

I reread the chapter and when miria said that the claymore was designed to be used against awakened beings and others, what did she mean by others did she mean that humans or other types of monsters?

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

she probably meant the dragon kin. Which might mean that Claymores, once they awaken and have been observed thoroughly, may be sent to the outside battle and actually fight against the dragon kin. >.> Sounds probable, considering there have only been 79 chapters out.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Well... "only" 79 chapters... That's still pretty long for a monthly shounen jump/jump sq series... >_>

Either way, I think she meant that what the organisation was trying to create was something like Alicia and Beth, and that the other claymores were just cannon fodder, and never meant to help out in the war or anything. The organisation changed it's policy and is now actively hunting awakened beings, because with it's objective achieved, it wants to clean up everything on the island, or something like that?

Either way, the organisation doesn't seem to be interested in 'normal' claymores anymore. It's either something like Alicia/Beth that they want, or a semi-awakened claymore, like (some of) the Ghosts.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

If Alicia and Beth were completed then the organisation would take them to this other continent and use them to win the war. I don't think they care what happens with this island. Besides, to take control of the island they would have to take on Priscilla. And as Riful said it's not possible, especially with Isley on her side.

But then our fab7 wouldn't have anything to do, so there must be a catch. Maybe the organisation isn't satisfied with Alicia/Beth or they need more pairs like them. Either way they are still interested in their 'laboratory'.

edit/random remark: I hope Yuma and Cynthia will get some character development, they are parts of the group which is the main focus of this manga, and yet we know absolutely nothing about them.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

then what are the organization's plans on the already awakened ones? Oh wait. They developed Alicia and Beth in the hopes to bring those abyssal ones under their control, most likely. The 3 abyssal ones are too much for Beth to handle, I think, that's why the org is allowing the abyssal ones to go head to head and eliminate each other, or greatly weaken each other, before Beth steps in to take control.

After that, I guess the org will then send Beth and the controlled abyssal ones to the outside battle.

However... as if Isley and Priscilla would allow themselves to become pawns. No way in hell. That's why as someone suggested, Isley and Riful might have it in them to finally fight with the ghosts against the org. :oh

what?

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

Nice, it seems the plot is set up to really broaden now. I've often wondered what was beyond the rather small region we've seen so far, but i never thought i'd actually get an answer.

Something i've been wondering since i read this last chapter is, "How can the organization take it's time developing claymores if they are losing a war back in their homeland." The answer i've come up with is that the organization has to have claymores or some sort of strong yoma to send to their homeland separate from the experimental group of 57. It's the only way i can think of that they could avoid being completely obliterated after a hundred years of war against a stronger army.

If my guess proves to be correct, that would mean the organization would have a combat force available that's completely separate from the 57 claymores.

Really hope ur right otherwise the author just fucked up the storyline because no way in hell an army with only humans could keep up a war agains an army with the dragon skin + humans they would have being defeated long ago since so far we havent seen any human that was capable of taking an yoma on a fight and since the dragon skin are prolly similar to the yomas the war would be lost long ago.Now about beth and alicia i think they are still being used as test subjects the organization is prolly keeping those 2 on the island to see if they work out well prolly a safety measure to test if alicia is gonna lose control or something like that (better for them if she fucks up on the island instead of the battle field) if she prooves she is reliable either they gonna make more or send both of them to the war.The organization dosent really care about the awaken ones whoever after pietra where we saw awaken ones teaming up and sort of hunting the organization they became a problem since they might get in the way of the experiments thats why they are being hunted down now, whoever the abysmal ones are too much of a problem to deal with and they dont usually get in the way of the organization thats prolly why they are being left alone.

Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro

them having battalions other than the 57 is obvious, if the claymores are just lab rats.

When we think about it, Alicia and Beth haven't got any exposure aside from their training scene, and that was way when Galatea was still no. 3. By that time Alicia and Beth had pretty much mastered their combo. So what do they do for 9 years? They aren't the ones facing the awakened beings because we see the other single digits do that.

Perhaps they are sent to and from the main continent, like fight for a while, then back for more observation and maintenance, fight some more, etc.
