Re: Claymore by Yagi Norihiro
Could they possibly be on the island still because they're afraid if they go into the water they can't find their way back? Seems pretty cowardly...especially since the abyssal might be able to withstand space.
You're almost certainly right about the distance. Another supporting fact is that the abyssal ones have collectively spent centuries in their own "territories", with nothing but eating guts to pass the time. You've got to figure they at least thought about an ocean adventure. And riful at least moves fast and looks like she can swim. Eisley not so much. Priscilla could just fly...There is one reason that makes me think that Alicia and Beth are unlikely to have been used on the main continent yet. The travel time. The mainland must be a fairly great distance away if no one has found it yet. So if the organization was attacked while they were away by any one of the abyssal ones, it would probably mean certain destruction for the organization. So, for the purpose of maintaining control of their experiment, I suspect the organization has kept Alicia and Beth on the current continent the entire time.

). Lets not forget that the Abyssal Ones are awakened beings as well, just they were given the title Abyssal because of their powers and former rank.
It's rather easy to feel that way).

Hope you don't mind for this.
