It was not skipped. But he keeping that rage boost permanently would be weird.
Why? Isn't that how most rage boosts work in this manga to begin with?

I think rage boosts only stayed constant when they reach a new transformation. Vegeta had no God Ki back then and was able to injure Beerus. He keeping that boost would put him way above Goku.

Well, maybe he is way above goku when it comes to regular ki. But god ki rendered that moot. And goku did have SS3 anyways, I doubt the difference between forms would have been that much.

That would be... weird. Even SSJ3 Goku was powerless against Beerus and lost.

Well, but it's not like vegeta had a chance against beerus. He got a quick power up which allowed him to catch beerus off guard for a second and do slightly better than SS3 goku. It's not like he actually became match for beerus. Heck, the implication so far is that even now with SSB he does not stand a chance. Even SSB goku and vegeta working together wouldn't necessarily win if we go by what whis has said.

That makes sense that Goku Black doesn't have God Ki without fusing with past Zamasu. Zamasu never went through the process and it wasn't off paneled. But lol it's true on the power scaling. How SSJ2 Trunks get basically rocked by base Goku Black, who beat the entire Frieza squad and now SS Vegeta stomps SS Black?

I believe SS2 Vegeta is now currently stronger than SS3Goku, His feats says it all.

SS2Trunks is close but not stronger than a FP SS3Goku; Seems Goku was xtra petty when he went SSG to quickly/decisively show Trunks he's stronger. Instead of powering up in SS3..,,

Some piece of information or context in the next chapter may correct this inconsistency.
But All I know is the manga so far is more coherent as a story. & I appreciate that

Just reading this is all you needed to know about power scaling. Even worse, I actually agree with this :fail. Only thing that triggered me is how did SS2 Trunks get stomped by base Black who SS Vegeta is currently dusting his ass in SS?

Again, I don't think we should read too much into this
Powerlevels don't make any sense in Super (both manga/anime, although I'd rate the manga a bit better compared to the anime when it comes to powerlevels)

I don't know if I'd rate the manga better as far as power levels are concerned. The manga spared us the super saiyan blue kaio ken times ten but in turn it hit us with the nonsense regarding how super saiyan vegeta, goku and trunks compare to each other. That part at least is clearer in the anime IMO.

It also spared us the bullshit that is Black getting stronger out of nowhere (not even Zenkai), but as I said, the manga itself has a lot of crap like Vegeta SSB and now this

I felt that Hit in the anime was simply too overpowered, and Black's strength was random (getting stronger without any explications or whatsoever)

I swear Akira & DBZ is the only Manga/Anime that gets away with this s**^+....

It's a big discrepancy; X That seems the only way I personally could make sense of it. But we never know this may get cleaned up in upcoming chapters.

I also prefer the manga overall for Super, but i will say that while the manga makes more sense (not completely by any means lol), the anime does have a bit of emotion and tension that the manga just is not giving me.

I would actually say i agree with @Zehahaha that the power levels in the manga make more sense. Mind you the SSB Vegeta nerf in the Hit fight was quite bad, and the whole ssj2 Trunks being equal to ssj3 Goku also is kinda nonsense. But i feel overall the power scale for Hit was WAY better, Goku Black not getting Zenkai boosts from getting hit is an improvement :fail, and ssb getting treated with much more respect makes the manga a step ahead there imo.

I imagine Rose is coming in the next chapter, but i am scared for the manga right now. Simply put this needs two more chapters, and i am not sure it's gonna get it. Ideally in the next chapter Goku Black and Zamasu strike back and overpower the group, and then in the second chapter from now they finally beat him. I think if it ends next chapter it is gonna cut some really good stuff and i would personally be quite disappointed.

This chapter however i felt while fast paced as usual for the manga, was really solid. I had no issue with Vegeta overpowering Black the first time, even though i can see why people feel like there is no tension due to Black losing right off the bat. I also do not get the complaint i have seen going around other forums about how Black is characterized so much worse....He is Zamasu, so it actually made little sense that in the anime Black was WAY cooler than him.

Present timeline Zamasu's death was imo just as good here. Beerus did not play any games like in the anime, he just laid out the facts and Zamasu could not get out of it and attacked, which obviously lead to his swift death.

Overall hope we get two more chapters for this arc, but knowing what Toyotarou said about how he was going to be ahead of the new arc in the anime (and that starts in early Feb), i am not sure it will tbh sadly.

As far as vegeta vs hit, i would argue the manga made more sense than the anime. In the manga they did go out of their way to make the point vegeta was nowhere near his true power when fighting hit. The anime just had him loose the fight without much explanation along with showing hit growing arbitrarily stronger to the point where he physically could keep up with goku.

Certain things make more sense in the manga than in the anime, but I prefer the anime overall. The problem wit the manga is that it's monthly, when I read it it's like I am reading a summary of the anime arcs.

The problem with both manga and anime, even if I appreciate slightly more the manga, is that the battles don't worry anyone. It seems like watching Yu-Gi-oh's fights without the shadow rules. There is no drama, tragedies don't happen, and even if it is the only series where deaths can be nullified you're never worried about the characters' consequences. This series lacks both in the sense of adventure and in the sense of fighting. More similar to the new seasons of Pokémon than to the Yu-Yu-Hakusho's spirit. The new Survival Arc, if it were in DB or in DBZ, would be extremely thrilling, here it isn't. However I hope to see the Tenkaichi's conductor.

I'm sorry but the moment the Dragon Balls and the afterlife were introduced, there was no thrill really
The ability to bring back characters via Dragon Ball, heck the dead characters enjoying themselves in the afterlife, the ability to freaking recreate the planet even if it was destroyed... Where is the thrill in this ? (and this is all in DBZ btw)

But, it's true the fights were more tense in DBZ than in Super, this much I agree with

Well, the Dragon Balls were introduced in the first volume of Dragon Ball, the afterlife a little later with Baba the Witch, so more or less what you wrote should be read like "DB is a manga without any thrill", and it simply isn't true. I mean, apart from the battles during the Tenkaichi almost every battle was till death. Goku VS Piccolo. Goku VS Vegeta. Goku VS Freeza. Are these battles without thrill? Come on.

I'd say the anime version of this arc had some tense moments. In the manga however I feel like reading a summary as I said. Black is not a threat in the manga and it's the same for Hit.

The tension could be better but it's fine to me for someone who has only watched the first few episodes of the anime. Power scaling is just wild wonky. I agree with the opinion that Hit was more imposing than Black currently is but that could change once him and past Zamasu fuse and he taps into his God ki. I find it amazing of how many critical takes we've had on this chapter but it's still was one of the best ones since the manga started, good thing nobody gets paid for this.
