As a great fan of DB, I find this new series very poor and inconsistent, only made to stretch its business. Gt was terrible, but this one is not better. I hope it's not spam, but can we open a thread for DB Multiverse as well? It's a comic made by fans, but it's very well done. you can check it on its site
For those who don't know it: some aliens discovered how to travel throughout universes, which differ for one or more events (such as, in one universe Gohan was defeated by Cell, in another one Vegeta was beheaded by Kulilin on Earth), and they propose a tournament between these universes, but there's more beneath it .
The only side effect is that only 3 pages come out per week

It has had its moments, sadly the anime is better than the manga though

Never thought i would say that about toriyamas masterpiece

excuse me, but what are you talking about? About DB, DBM or DBS? If you are referring to the original DB, then I totally disagree with you, the anime is garbage (not well done) and useless filler, whereas the Manga is a masterpiece.

Looks like keep fighting until they lose this time. So if Goku wins against Botamo, he will face the second opponent.

I'm quite disappointed by these chapters, and by this tournament as well. It's just the same of what happened when they were fighting Baba's 5 warriors. Actually, DB is a an outstanding manga, where the main character (and not just him) gets a moral growth throughout the story that you hardly find one like this in another manga. Think of when, during the Cell Game, he explained how Gohan is stronger than them, or when he tells Piccolo that he hadn't tried to defeat Bu because as a dead he shouldn't interfere. Even Piccolo replies with:"you are really outstanding, http://www.mangapanda.com/dragon-ball/477/11 .
Here (in DBS) we have stupid fights with dumb characters, this is terribly getting worse

i loved the moment when vegeta one shotted ginyu in the anime, one of the most epic db anime moments ever

but as far as the manga, i feel like the story is lacking effort, like toriyama was just trying to find any reason for the other universe to become open for travel

i mean why couldnt champa just use these super dragon balls to bring his earth back? or bring back the people?

In 33 episode Goku will win his match. Question is what % of his power will he use.

Chapter 9 will probably be about Goku win and Piccolo trying to win.

- Blasts Goku away with a ki-like blast.

Ah, I misunderstood, luckily . Actually, I watched the first episode (and the movie BoG) and that was enough to judge this season "trash" . It's a pity, 'cause I was really interested in the innovative ideas of Battle of Gods, but as a fan I couldn't stand such mistakes.
As for Ginyu's death, I just watched its episode to check whether it really was worthy, and to be honest it wasn't .
As you said, the story lacks of consistency and as i already stated before: the characters suffer an involution which is barely forgivable. Seriously, this Gohan is the parody of the one he was during Bu's saga , and what about Freeza who suddenly becomes stronger than a Ssj3? he's been fearing a simple ssj for decades, whereas he needs only 4 months now to surpass even Bu??? o.O
and to conclude, the dragon balls cannot revive people who died over one year before. but even worse was watching Goten being forced to turn into Ssj to fight a giant snake: so on earth there was a snake stronger than god (kami) and even freeza? c'mon guys...

Goku provoked Frost because he watned to know his full power but Frost at full power is only stronger than base Goku and Vegeta, whoa re ridiculously strong already.

So that he can say he beat champa's fighters without even using his triumph card or he simply couldn't get or find the actual second stronger (even though whis should have had an easy time doing this).

I am not sure of what to think of piccolo. It is good to see him get stronger but somehow him being this powerful is weird. I guess the issue is that frost to begin with wasn't that strong? I am also missing the other SS forms. If they are not using god ki then they could at least use the other presumably more powerful super saiyan forms. On the other hand I think I remember reading about toriyama saying that goku was going to give up his use of SS2 and SS3 in favor of SS because it worked better in the long term. But I am not sure of how that works out....

I don't think Beerus would have chosen him if he was weak considering what's at stake. He didn't know the power of U6 fighters and yet he considers him his trump card.

Frost is stronger than Base Goku so he must be well above the likes of Buu, they are the five strongest fighters of their universe after all.

Spoiler: Last episode

Magetta lost to SSJ Vegeta but his feats put him well above Frost, and Cabbe will turn SSJ next, probably for the first time, Vegeta will turn SSB as well. It was confirmed that both he and Goku are not using their God Ki because of Hit.

In the last episode it's been confirmed that Cabba is equal to base Vegeta, and he learned to transform so he is probably somewhat equal to current Vegeta SSJ, he lost after one punch from SSB Vegeta though. As for Hit
