Mashima's drawing style has been getting better since he's getting used to the characters plus Evergreens stylle change for the better in this last arc imo so i guess i agree

even Fried (although the haircut got rejected) has gotten handsome-er lately and Bixlow's got new clothes...

Websters defines Jellal as: overhyped and underdelivered.

Really, is there any real reason why this guy gets so much play outside of the fact that Mashima is shipping him and Erza so hard it seems almost like an act of desperation. We don't need to see a low-impact character show up every single arc. He hasn't delivered since he was owned by Natsu. And his Eldoras counter-part Mystgun was almost as lackluster as him.

Here is the thing, less Jellal and more Gray. I'm tired of seeing Gray passed over every single arc outside of the one arc that was devoted to him and Leon. Gray is far more interesting and relevant to the story. Not only that, but Gray is actually vital to the events that are taking place. He's more than a desperate attempt to ship two characters together. That's all I got to say about that. The other characters in FT have so much potential that really, if we separate random, baseless, fandom from facts we see that Jellal is little more than fluff.

^i wouldnt worry much on that right now it seems Gray is going to be given a big role thanks to his connection to Ultear so we just have to wait and see how its developed =] GO GRAY he does need more time for him >< but i think mashima will start to focus on the DS and Lucy to explain some mysteries soon

True, Gray needs more screen time/awesome moments. He didn't fight anyone at all in this arc and with how Ultear is now..
I highly doubt she'll fight him too.

Well, the issue itself is that gerard is obviously important to the plot in all of its levels. The manga has in one form or another revolved around zeref in some form or another since day one for one thing. Gerard through his manipulation by grimmoire heart has a deep connection to zeref. heck, gerard has been nothing short of a driving force behind every arc so far. He was responsible for the garuna island events (along with ur though), he was the main driving force behind the tower of paradise arc (I would argue grimmoire heart was just as important even if from behing the scenes) and he played a decisive role in the oracion 6 arc by releasing nirvana and powering up natsu. Grimmoire heart is unequivocably and directly responsible for making a monster out of gerard, to be honest I was actually surprised he actually did not have an active role in this arc.

Jellal is connected to Ultear so i guess its highly possible we see him again especially if Ultear escapes with Zeref and she decides to play with him again ^^

Or rather the 'WE ARE JELLAL' will happen as when Jellal dies everyone becomes infected with the Jellaldisease! oh well I say we wait till the arcs end to say if it was necassary to show him, if FT loses in a way it would make rereading Laxus and jellal's parts in this arc would make it more dramatic imo

I have a question about him as well.
If he's just slowing others, why he was running to get some object (I don't remember what it was)? He shouldn't be faster than others actually, just make them think he is. So when he was away from Nirvana (and others of Oracion 6), for them it should be the same time as if they sent... somebody else.

I don't know how to explain it, I hope you'll get what I mean.
