I can imagin a ice dragon and a golden dragon as well. Perhaps a bone-dragon (of death)?

I prefer erza to elsa. Elsa has to be one of the most aweful names to ever be. Just as there are names which you can associate with being old -ruth for instance-, names you can associate with young people, names which you can associate with generic stuff -britney for instance- elsa is a name to be associated with ugly girls -i know a couple of elsas....-. I honestly don't want to offend anyone but out of all the names out there Elsa has the be the foulest of all of them. Lets stick with erza.

Well since Krono hasn't explained it yet, I'm gonna steal his spotlight knowledge for a moment.

First of all: Erza's name written for the first time was with a Z

Second of all: Del-Ray promptly asked Mashima himself about the way they should spell names; That includes Erza sticking to Erza. I've read one of Del-Ray's FT books and it sticks with Erza as well.

Third: The anime sticks with Erza - They even have the english name spelled out with the Z for it on their website.

But some of the other element like Luxus, Lightening and Cobra, poison are fakes used by Lacrymas. I wonder if they used to have real dragons for those 2 elements but they all died out a long time ago, but only a few survivors left.

Well it might be possible to create a false fire dragon as well i supose. But i guess only a original dragon can teach/bestow a dragon magic uppon a student.
I doubt that its only them 3 that got dragon magic, there is also that black dragon about. (shadow or death magic?)
And what about some sort of leadership amongst dragons? Everything in the story has a level to it, kingdoms,guilds,magic councils so i asume there must be a hirarcy among dragons as well.
Oh 1 typ id love to see, ice-dragon.

If there is an Ice dragon and if he had a student then that person won't be joining FT because they already have Grey. It's more likely that they will cast an Ice dragon slayer as a copy Lacryma magic along with Luxus & Cobra. That's just what I believe tho, can't have two Ice magic user in FT.
And why is it always a shadow or death magic for the black dragon? Everyone is expecting that. Hasn't it occur to you guys that it's might just be something simple? A dragon who can cast blue flame? (sarcastic) XD

Tbh all the dragons so far stick to what they are in lore/mystic.

So the Red dragon is fire.
I recon that Wendy's dragon is either white/purple? for wind?
The steel dragon well that tells :P
then there is a Black dragon, i realy dont know but its black magic or death magic/shadow magic.
Also the Dragon King... he a golden dragon? Magic of light/life? Wonder who that would be.
The only missing one would be a frost/ice dragon. Its still possible that Greys old friend is the frost, or even Ul it doesnt have to be a new character.

the Thunder and Poison variations might as well have real dragon slayers but i dont think they are on the good side.
Also that the Black dragon is out there and what was that 100y mission about?

I like your theory. It's possible that Url was a dragon slayer but Cobra said there is no way a dragon can teach a human dragon slayer magic and wat ever Igneel did to Natsu to be able to learned DS, it hasn't reveal yet. So when Url taught Grey and Leon "Ice make" magic she didn't use any special ritual at all. It was just an Ice magic. When she used her magics, she wasn't shown inhaling the air or eating Ice mineral or anything DS related. So I guess Url wasn't a DS but who knows.
As for the 100yrs quest I like the idea that Guildart ran into that black dragon by accident and he wasn't prepared for him. That's why he got severely injured and had to returned home, but then why would he had to spent 3 years on a quest? Maybe he was searching for something?...a relic or a target?

Well hes not been in touch with the guild. Also meeting that Black dragon failed his mission. So the Black dragon is guarding what he was after? Not that we will know any time soon but it gives to think that someone as powerfull as he is suposed to be didnt get a phonecall when the guild was under attack.
So it has to be some heck of a misison he was on.

That was one of my first guess a relic...but then again why would the black dragon be flying around the continent if he was suppose to be guarding something? This lead me to my other guess, a target. Maybe what ever Guildart was looking for is either a person or a creature? Maybe it was that black dragon because how else would he know where that dragon is going?

I dont think the dragon is the target because most people in this world dont know the dragons still exist so a job request about defeating one wouldnt make sense.

Thats a male name and yes i know it... But as you can see...there aint much male about this Erza lol. But why mention a name that doesnt add up for the japanese writing anyways...

also japanese is originaly a spoken language with a foreign writing adapted for it.
So there is no way you can translate エルザ to romanic. not literaly.
The author chose Erza to be the official version in romanic btw so sticking with that is the most logical choice. Even tho he mixed it up a few times in the manga himself.

Yet if you take the official translations (and i do yes i do mean) the offical translations.
If you are named Elsa in europe or anyware on the darn planet and you happen to write down your name in japanese you get エルザ <<<<

And now i realy stop this discussion since its pointless! lol.

Well it is a 100yr mission and dragons are ancient creatures believed to died out hundreds of years ago. I like to think that some one might of post the request up long ago and said to give a fortune to who ever kill the black dragon. Maybe they don't have to kill, they might just wanted something the black dragon has.
Plus what guildart said I believed it could go both ways..."during my mission", or "on my mission". But the "during" part had me thinking alot that it might be something else.

The offical name of Erza is Erza. It's written as エルザ in Japanese, but Mashima was asked what his intended English spelling was, and the answer was Erza. As such her name is Erza, and all your talk of the different ways you can romanize エルザ, and how Elsa is written as エルザ in katakana is irrelevant.

It's like if there was a character named ダニエル. As soon as the author says that his intended romanization is Danielle, the fact that Daniel, Daniell, and Daniele are also valid Japanese-English conversations is meaningless.

Erza's not just the logical choice, it's the correct choice for this character.

The 100yr mission is one of a kind so it must involve several things at once. I wouldnt doubt if guilds come together and split it up. If Gildarts couldnt complete it that means that either we are going to be shown MEGA AMAZING mages or he just didnt care to complete it. I hope we get to see many different kinds of magics, not just people having better fire magic or better ice magic or things like that. Anyway we need more Dragon Slayers, but i aint worried since well get an entire arc about that!!
