Hey everyone! I just finished catching up to the manga two weeks ago so I haven't been around for everyone's chapter discussions. Do people here thing Mistgun is the Edo-Gerard? It would explain why he knows everything and why he had the medicine to help out the Earthland crew allowing them to use magic in Edoras. Also why do you think he doesn't want to go back and help out himself in the fight and why did he leave Edoras and come to Earthland in the first place?

Yea, it does make a lot of sense obviously, but as usual we don't know the Whys to the matter and explanations to the actions he has been taking. I just wanted to hear what people had to say in regards to those questions since I was a little late to the game and probably missed the bulk of discussion on an interesting topic, lol.

I have a question. Why it takes so long to translate?

I mean, there are already Chinese scans released, you could just erase and write your own stuff into those bubbles without bigger issues with the help of photoshop.

Or the language it self is hard so that no one can understand it? (no offense)
Or theres some sort of "codex" not to touch scans of another person?

Well i doubt there is any fact in you not liking this manga thats even remotely related to this chapter. So why bring it to chapter discussion?

-About the Coco smile, shes the only be happy character besides Happy. < the name says it. Other then that the mouth expression is what is the most significant in the manga apart from other bodyparts ofc ^^. If you dont like it dont read it. Just dont bug people that like it with it.
-The friendship part well yes its in it, its what makes FT FT agian if you dont like it dont bug people who like it with it. We already know this...

Other then friendship there are a few other themes you clearly forget...

-destiny
-mystery powers (dragonslayer magic says it all no?)
-the year the dragons disapeared 777, also the year that Lucys mom suposedly died < again a mystery element.
-Ultears involvement + Zeref still alive, possibly the final showdown enemies.

And im forgetting tons of story elements wich all make it a good manga, yet you only pick the friendship part. Well isnt every manga in its core about friendships, take the mother of all manga (Dragonball) wich has the same basic understanding (in this case the Z fighters)

Maybe its a good idea to start a (i hate manga thread) and make a subthread for every diff manga, go there and post what you dislike, just dont bring it to the chapter discussions. < final entry.

When a chapter is out, one of the first thing guys usually post here, is their first feelings about this chapter. I posted it, I didn't even want to go further than this until some kind of mockery. My explanations, even if it turned to be off-topic wasn't "bashing" at all. I don't know what happened here while I was sleeping, I guess some people were too frustated.

Nothing in my words or explanations meant that I hate the manga. You just interpreted it wrong. Besides the eternal argument of "If you don't like it, don't read", man you can read something even if there are things that annoy you, otherwise in what kind of world are we living ?
Again I've never said that the manga is crappy, don't fall into the dark side of the fan. Besides I just can't skip the part that I don't like, since I must read them in order to see that they exist.

Now about the smile stuff, Coco speech about "infinite smiling" is not wrong itself, it's the whole stuff about it in this manga lately. The mangaka keeps talking about it in many chapter covers. I've never see this kind of obstinacy in the other shonen, even One Piece. Now when I read it from Coco's mouth, I'm not thinking "FUUUCK YOU MASHIMA", it's more like "geez, again.".

The theme of friendship is not a problem itself, once again I know it's a shonen. The problem is the way Mashima is putting it in front of my nose for now, he is having a too basic approach of it. When I read Dragon Ball I don't feel like the author was keeping telling me "friendship is good !", besides there is a big part of self-mockery here.

You're saying that there is ton of mysteries in the manga besides friendship. I know it, but that wasn't my point. And all argument seem based on the wrong fact that I hate the whole manga. I don't hate it. I'm not also a "big fan" of it.

Its simple you like it or you dont, just dont bug others with it.

Be objective, be precise and stay with the facts of the series id say.

Personal feelings have no added value in a chapter discussion since its mere feelings. Not that people arnt entitled to have them but it just doesnt add anything constructive.
If i went on like how much i love a manga,...what would that tell you? nothing thats what it tells.

Why was it in this discussion ? Because this chapter was the trigger for me, it was also representative of the whole arc, that's all.

Your original post was pretty vague to me, they could just simply let you be and ¡presto! no problem whatsoever, I did not feel any ill will from you. Making a fuzz about something so vague seems to be the problem here. That "Black and White" way of Mr. Cani is what is keeping you guys here.

From a cold point of view the chapter was melodramatic and tried to hard to stir emotions and that is something that can be criticized (look at movies reviews or that traumatic Remi), no need for weasel euphemism. However that does not mean the manga is doomed, the manga is not flawless (no work is) and I accept that. I Loved the beginning of the arc but now I´m a zombie just reading for the sake of finishing this arc, but that´s just me and maybe some others, but if you like it... go right ahead.

That said, I´m really looking foward to see the Black Dragon issue.

And that´s pretty much it, I´m a mod no longer but I think this could end quite peacefully.

Her right eye were fake, she lost it when she were young, the old lady (forgot her name) said it should work after create fake eye (for tear on fake eye). I guess, Erza haven't enough emotional on fake eye to tears or giving it some time for tears to come or whatever. So, it not mashima's fault, it just how the Erza is.
