Frosty how you been? no i am not.. a certain stuff member asked me to remove that set(he or she was probably anti-lucy).

Anyway was rereading Ft and thinking that arc of embodiment is actually really scary type of magic.Still think rose was a bit inexperienced.As bluenote stated that even the most powerful magic will be midiocre in the hands of the amateur. Thats just to say i am hoping to see similiar type of magic in the future.

Rusty Rose did get the short end of the stick a bit, but that's just because he had to lose to some member of FT. It was kind of harsh on him that he lost out to Fried and his sidekick, but that's life. Would it have been better if he'd lost to some of FT's stronger mages? Yes, but half of them were injured. For example, instead of Mira losing to Treeman (I've started to forget some of their names), Mira could've beaten Rusty Rose.

About Mashima's dragon drawing on Twitter, that tweet says "7月7日はFTの物語の中で大切な日",
which means something like, "7 July is an important day in the story of FT".

I think he's just teasing us a bit...

His tweets seem to fall under the following categories:

• personal stuff like "I watched Gundam all day" or "I played games all day"
• announcements for new manga or the FT movie in August
• personalised drawings for people's birthday
• very rarely: FT teasers that don't reveal anything

That man is disciplined, I tell you.

Maybe a little bit in that he sort of looks like him, minus the hat, but being compared to Fried is not a positive. Considering that everyone in this series seems to know each other, it's a possibility, but all of the ST mages seemed unknown to everyone else, so I would think that they're not related.

Does anyone know what the deal is with this kinana girl? According to the wikia she is supposed to be cuberius and has since joined the guild and make appearances in the manga. Is she supposed to be a cannon character with that particular backstory (if she appears in the manga she is cannon but her backstory cannot be confirmed in the manga so far). Has she appeared elsewhere?

I guess she's a non-cannon that in this chapter became cannon. I don't know why Mashima was so fond on her/cuberius in general but I guess it has to do something with the fact that the anime version, which obviously lives on in the manga, is based on his assistant.

I wonder if mashima will ever make an omake to add her to the story. Cobra as a fake DS is bound to appear in some form in the future so perhaps having cuberius be a person would add some depth to his character and explain why his prayer would be what it was.

The whole thing would perhaps be too similar to let's backstory but it would still not be in itself a bad development. Perhaps it would even justify a potential change for good in his evil personality.

Not sure what your manga image of Lisanna is supposed to be a reference to.

Exceed secondary abilities?

I was thinking about shagotte, charle and panther lily. So far the three of them see to have been exceptional because they have abilities which other exceed do not have. Charle and shagotte can see the future and panther lily has the ability to change into a battle form of sorts. I just couldn't help but wonder if rather than these being random occurrences they could have been merely part of a pattern.

What if all exceed have the potential to awaken powerful, secondary abilities, aside from the generic aera? Lily for all we know simply had her secondary ability turned on in edolas 24/7 for whatever reason and once in earthland he was able to access his actual true form.

No clue of why things would develop in such a way considering that the fact that there was less magic in edoras than i earthland would suggest that the opposite would happen. A world with more magic should have allowed him to stay in his true form more efficiently. My only cracked pot theory here is that contrary to humans exceed do in fact actually produce magic inside their bodies while humans merely take it in from their surroundings. Since lily entered earthland it is possible his magic production system relaxed due to the abundance in the air and he started relying on his magic containers which would work similar to those of humans. Since he started relying on other magical containers which were less developed than his personally produced magic then he has less magic power to stay in his battle form.

Now, setting aside my little crackpot theory back there the most interesting implication of this would be that happy could potentially have another ability. Perhaps even a battle form. Heck, mashima could even make him look dragonlike as a reference to natsu and lisana thinking he was a dragon's egg years ago lol.

Another interesting thing about this would be that just about a few exceed among thousands would have the ability to naturally resort to their secondary abilities or gifts. This would perhaps explain why they would be potentially unaware of their potential to use other magical powers. The theory overall makes sense however there actually is little evidence to support it.
