Yeah, "nakama power" has gotten increasingly absurd -- I agree. Yet I think a lot of you have to stop and ask: "how old am I?"

As far as I'm concerned, if you're 15+? You already know this is silly. Yet if you're 20+ and "nakama power" irritates you so much that you can't control your britches? I think it's time to acknowledge that maybe you've aged out of the genre of shonen.

This isn't NEW. One Piece has nakama power, Dragonball has nakama power, BLEACH had it, Naruto DEFINITELY had it -- am I the only one paying attention? Fairy Tail may have pushed the envelope a bit further but wow. I wonder if others are realizing the cognitive dissonance here.

Despite the fan service -- of which there's a lot -- the target audience for this would be the youth. It's trying to communicate to children that they should value the bonds they create with friends and family. Believe it or not, you're stronger and more efficient when you have people supporting you. Team work is really a thing that children have to LEARN and EXPERIENCE.

So, put it in perspective man. I've read Fairy Tail for years and I've learned to take it for what it is. I don't go to McDonalds for healthy food and I don't go to Fairy Tail for a deep, compelling narrative.

I agree with you 100%. Shonen manga is aimed mostly at young fans but here actually most of the ppl find it cool to hate on it and point out how silly it is and nitpicking everything simply because it gets the most attention Just like kids in school, they want the most attention hence they follow the thing that would make them cool and popular. ( Posting memes, gifs, abusing emoticons, hating the chapter and bashing characters ) just scroll through the pages and you will see same formula unchanged in every single salty post.

It's sad that anime filler was better than two arcs! I actually really like the Starry Sky arc. It gave more depth to the Seis (Except Midnight) and I liked Michelle's storyline. Also, it seemed like canon (minus Gildarts and Byro?. Gildarts owns)

This is the theme in Sailor Moon. Every country has problems wheather individualist or communalist. Japan is extremely individualistic and competitive for schools, which is probably why a lot of themes in anime are about friendship.

Individualistic societies are not competitive. Not everyone can be an individual. Those societies are designed to support them. And its because majority of the people support them so the amount of individuals increase that leads to their advancements.

USA and Europe have set an example by showing the world through their various technological pursuit and continual production of innovative products and services. That is why I consider them as individualistic societies. Along with the values their leaders set while establishing democracy.

Easterners are less individualistic. You can read about that in newspaper or by simply experiencing them here. You can come to India. Traveling and living here is way cheaper than the countries of the west. But don't believe blindly on the statistical reports about the rape cases happening here.

Are we going to get news about the return of the anime soon?
Im really worried that the same thing is going to happen to the Fairy Tail anime that happened to the Bleach anime that the final arc never gets animated.
I want the entire Fairy Tail series to be animated from beginning to end and own it all on DVD.
It would also be way easier to move on after Fairy Tail is over if the anime gets finished.

EDIT, YAY Hiro Mashima just announced that the final season of Fairy Tail will start in 2018.

I would agree that FT seemed to ingrain a clash between utilitarianism vs individualism and that individualism can easily be defeated through collective efforts of the majority. However, your example of an individualistic society, the west, is somewhat flawed. It is true that Western people tend to act on their own interests but so does everyone else in the world. Even so, Western people are much more similar to the characters in FT as they form groups together (LGBT+, BLM, Feminism) to promote their common interests just like a guild would.

Very decent chapter imo. Once again, it's a classic fairy Tail chapter that doesn't look bad tbh. Even though there's not the shippy moments people want, i think it's a good Resolution for how it's always been. I think the series ends on a good Note, after the trainwreck that was alvarez. Definitely starting to looking forward to at least seeing irene animated in the anime now, Oh and dimaria even if anticipating it is Unbelievable to some.

decent resolution to ft which has caused some WAIFU WARS in terms of laxus with mira, cana etc. 6/10 last chapter imo. gg to you if you get the message in my post, not that it's hard

I'm both looking forward to it and not, I am because I want to see Irene animated, but not because of some stuff that happened post-Tartaros. Hopefully the animation quality will be good though.
