I have volumes 1-16 or something like that. I don't think they released them all because Tokyo Pop had difficulties.

From what I remember Tokyo Pop did release all they volumes but the last 3 volumes were released by Kodansha it's just the volumes went out of print. Also it seems that Kodansha is re releasing Rave Master in 5 in 1 omnibus editions I think.

So I began watching fairy tail about 3 years ago and got to about episode 50, but am just picking it back up.
I remember there was a scene within the first 50 episodes or so where one of the strongest (at the time) fairy tail members went off to conquer other guilds all on his own, and the scene shows this guy talking to an older woman in a forest of apple trees. I want to rewatch this scene, not really sure why, and wanted to ask if anyone knows where in the anime this occurs? I've checked about 30 episodes and can't find it, but I'm absolutely sure it was the right anime hahah. Thanks in advance!

I'm not familiar with the anime, but you may be referring to the apple scene is Mystogan/Porlyusica.

It can, but we’ve seen that Mashima is one of the best at this timeline. The issue wasn’t the timeline he had to work, it was the fact he was already finished with Fairy Tail and they wouldn’t let him move on. The two shouldn’t be confused or unnecessarily connected.

An as a aside. Hiatusxhiatus is a bad example. It’s been so long since we’ve seen the main characters, I’ve dropped it altogether.

Everything from Jacob's fight hint at rushing and bad writing.It seemed Hiro himself didn't know what to write.Let's take an example.Zeref ordered Irene to extract FH from Mavis.But it was taking long time and ultimately failed.But in the end we saw that Zeref himself could extract FH and withing few seconds.So why didn't Zeref do it in the first?It's because Mashima himself didn't know at that time(When Irene extracting FH) how to deal with it.Same with the Dragon seed.If Natsu can break it subconsciously why not Irene?



So ultimately what happened.Fairy Tail's sales steadily declined and many people dropped it.In the last 2 years it couldn't come in top 10.

But if Mashima had written a monthly manga or taken hiatuses in between he could have thought about it calmly. He would have been able to give much better.


And don't forget Kurapika and Leorio are both main characters.We are seeing their story now,much better than harping on Team Natsu only.Due to hiatuses he also produced a masterpiece arc like Chimera Ant Arc.

The whole he was finished and wouldn't let him move on topic is one that Mashima has given two conflicting statements on. (He said in one interview that he would have drawn everything he wanted to draw in two years, in another a few months later he state's he wanted to end it two years ago. Two conflicting statements)

He never mentioned that editors forced him.

Comparing with Bleach cannot be an excuse for it's low sells.I will give you an example:-In 2010 & 2011 FT was the fourth best-selling Manga in Japan and in 2014 it fell to 17th place.Why did it fall so much?Obviously the quality fell and many fans dropped it.(Bleach fell even below 20).

But let us see at Kingdom,Attack on Titan,Tokyo Ghoul Re or NNT,they are the top 5 in Manga's in Japan for few years now.

I didn't understand completely what you meant here but i take you meant editors pressured him,yeah that could have been the case(i haven't seen the source can you show it to me) but it may not have been also.I heard that he sacked 2 of his editors and his editor originally wanted 6 Spriggans while he forced 12.So does this mean they could influence him much,so i doubt that they can influence him much.


And i consider Rave Master much better series than FT.It didn't have any of the faults that FT had(better plot,great villains,no fake deaths,tension in the plot etc.).Sadly it didn't had a decent Anime adaptation like FT had and couldn't become popular.

Have you read Tokyo Ghoul and it's sequel Tokyo Ghoul:Re?(These 2 are my favourites). If you read this you will see this is how a weekly series should be written.Hopefully Mashima can do something similar in his next work.

Sadly it didn't had a decent Anime adaptation like FT had and couldn't become popular.

Well I'm hoping that one of the announcements in April is a complete reboot of the Rave Master anime.

Sorry if you do not understand too much, I use a translator, I'm French and my English is bad, sorry T-T.

We can compare to bleach (which I quote for everyone to understand) in the sense, or too, fans are gone, sales dropped (drastically).

But we had hundreds of chapters, nothing was happening, chapters that you were reading in less than 20 seconds, there were people who said that he was reading bleach every month, to read the 4 chapters at once. .

And despite the fact that it was not possible, we were told there was still a chapter, it was not possible to finish the manga in the chapter and that was the case.

The same for FT when they announced that there was 10 chapter while there remained the last 2 fight to do, it was not possible to finish correctly.

For NNT, titan and co attack, they have their success so much better, but maybe they will suffer the same fate in some time (its a little started for titan attack with the Arc in short).

We could also quote One piece (or HxH), they have their number 1 popularity but more and more people complain or get tired but continue to read.

For the editors as they say, it does not know and it does not say "'" officially "" that they make pression on the mangaka to do this or that thing, like for bleach.

Lisanna is an example, mashima wanted to let her dead, but her editor thought it was too sad for mira and elfman, so he put it back in the manga.

So I maintain that the publishers are not innocent in the story.

If there is a part of the story that should not be missed (besides the beginning) it is the end, because it concludes the story that your writing / followed for years.

Even if I got tired of it a bit and want to write a new story I will not miss the end of my story, nor the abbreviated, I will do it correctly.

Out of respect to my fans who have read me for years.

This is also what shocked at the end of bleach that kubo is not even left a few words at the end of the last chapter.

TOKYo ghoul is not my manga style I read but it's not my anymore.

Me too, I hope that one of the April announcements will be for RAVE the return of the anime.
