For me, Erza is one of the strongest character, so I was ironic. The same way Laxus and Gildarts are. For me, I may be wrong, they are the three strongest FairyTail's member at this time.

I stop to debate. Battle's circonstances are off lines as I understand.

I vote Happy : he is the strongest Exceed as he won against Panther L.
As wizard without emotional power, Gildarts is the Ace with Laxus and Erza on par near below but my words are not compting as I understand.

Sorry, Erza said "I will win next time" before falling and Laxus didn't said "That's my words" before "having a rest". So it is not a mismatch, Laxus won by far gap.

I think Erza is so a weakling, no facts all over the manga, she is below perhaps Elfman or Freed. I don't know where to place her in the list. Perhaps on the same level to Lucy or just below Wendy who had to teached her a trick to fight (enchants). It is clearly, as the daughter of the strongest enchantress and mother of the Dragon Slayer magic who had lost her humanity (becoming a dragon) when she was pregnant, merging in stasis into Eileen's magic for centuries because she didn't want her to born, it is unfair for Erza to have facilities to learn some enchants and it is clearly unfair that she can tap into Dragon Slayer's magic. Well, as I see her, she is potentialy more "Dragon Slayer" in her DNA than Natsu who is adoptive boy's dragon, where she was born from a dragon. But her potential is not explain at all. After all, Hercules was human being as compare....

But ok, no inherit magic because it is not hers and she is clearly a weakling,

So, for my vote, Gildarts is the Ace here and Happy is the Exceed's Ace too.

Just because people bash me because my opinion isn't their.

For me, a fight is not only pure raw power. It's technique, experience, intelligence, durability, corconstances and potential hability. So this is my last opinion.

I know people will bash me again (I am ok Grey Matter, do it), but for now, in my opinion and without irony, the best wizard is Gildarts : Experience, crazy magic effectivity, tank, smart. Potentialy, I think Erza has the best power but not at will and, for me, she is the best tank in the manga. Laxus, who has grown stronger has a very massive lethal attack and is on par with Erza. I think they are closing the gap with Gildarts. For me, they are the three Ace.

So now, you can bash me all you want. Have good day, people.

DF Gajeel is Darkness Gray level with both being below FDKM. RL is the superior mode of the three with DF Natsu being tiers ahead of everyone.

Personally, despite the whole community saying that the form Gajeel used against Bloodman was his DF, i've never been convinced of that. I think it was not DF.
At the end of the day it doesn't matter. For discussion sake i use the term DF Gajeel since this is what the community has accepted.

Oh I didn't know it was filler lol. Didn't read manga until GMG

It doesn't mean Laxus = Gildarts; I suppose it's upto interpretation. For me, what it says is that he didn't expect anyone else except Gildarts to be at a certain level. Anyway the portrayal is clear between Laxus and Erza, that's my entire point

It’s an add on, but all of them were from Mashima. Much like the fight against Tempesta. They are his original desire for the manga. Just couldn’t fit it in.
