Chapter Fairy Tail Spin-offs

I really dont like Fairy girls after reading the first volume and looking through 2 and 3 out of morbid curiousity. the girls are completely out of character and the series takes away all the great and interesting things that mashima woven on his series and just leave the fanservice. and the artwork dont look too good. I could say really worse things about FG, its insulting to the girls that Mashima been writing for a decade. I guess I dont consider it canon.I really hated how Kagura was taken captive so easily by those traders and well atleast mashima gets creative with his fanservice. mistal seem okay as well as ice trail, athough the mangaka that did the sabretooth, gajeel and laxus spinoff did a good job playing with mashima toybox. especially gajeel it was the best and the artwork is pretty good.

The only thing that I liked was how Wendy was kidnaped to power Dragonslayer bombs that was an interesting idea but you are right it is more of a mockory of the girls that I have come to love. Mistal is decent very sojo and light hearted Vol 1 is interesting, Vol 3 entertaining, Vol 2 did not enjoy will probably get Vol 4 when comes out but the Gajeel and Laxus ones...ME WANT NOW! That is how do a spinoff even if it doesn't explain well enough why Laxus thought join such a guild was a good idea, then again it is unlikely a good enough explanation exist

The truth is I do not see why some do not like Spin Off, Fairy Girls is not badly done, but Volume 3 is pretty good and dark, in reference to the story where along with Mermaid Heel they face a band of women traffickers Who have their eyes on Kagura.

Volume 4 and Final for the moment, although I only saw it in Japanese, is also very good. Maybe something I like is that the author there remember some techniques that had not been dealt with in the series, allowing them to see them in action again.

Same, I hope to be able to scan them soon, but so much work of end of year has me ground XD

Fairy Girls was just fun and silly to me, it did have a lot of fanservice/ooc but it's a spinoff for a reason. Nothing to take too seriously. It was aight.

Wendy's is pretty good even though Wendy falls in love with each saga.

In Fairy Girls Erza although it has little participation, is quite good compared and very in its character

I think that you are judging before time, in the Spin Off the traffickers infiltrate Mermaid Heel and use a virus to get the girls sick, so Kagura and those who did not get help from FT, when it seems that things are They solve it is when they get to infect Kagura, in that Spin, the virus they use is a virus that eliminates the force and Magic leaving the dam totally at the mercy of whoever it is, I really felt like a good saga, since all the Girls look.

Just like here they occupy many of the skills forgotten in the series and we see Capricorn in action several times.

In my opinion, the Spin Off are good complements of the manga, as they give more breadth to the story of Fairy Tail.

yeah sorry I know thats the case when I skimmed trhough the volume but man it seem sad to see kagura so humilated in that volume 3. also its annoying there's a bathscene in every chapter, and not a fan of the artwork, the only spinoff I like is whoever did the trilogy with sabretooth/gajeel/laxus. besides kinda farfetched that all the events of the spinoffs, the filler episodes including the ecplise celestial spirit arc, and omake happened in between GMG and sun village, I know GMG is in July and well I assume Tartaros happened in September since Happy mention after Jacob defeat that its September and it been a year only. I dont know man

I understand that you do not like that, but remember, Spin Off is from the girls of Fairy Tail, if the humiliation that Kagura received when being infected with the virus is much lighter than that received by Erza in the saga of Tartaros.

I do not know, worse to my taste, was quite well taken, what happens is that I believe that there is at general level a disapproval to the Spin Off that do not come directly from the hand of the Author although he supervice them and give them his approval.

In terms of times, we do not really know how much time passes between each Arc, but if we analyze it well, I think if there is enough time between arcs to occur those Spin Off

Does anyone know where I can find Edited Mangas of the Laxus side story or Fairy Girls? I've enjoyed both so far, as well as the Sabertooth and Gajeel side stories, but every site I check only has half of the Laxus side story and Fairy Girls translated.

Alternatively, raws would work; I read the Laxus side story raws earlier in the thread, and while I couldn't tell what was being said, it was easy to follow along for the most part. I'd consider buying it digitally (I'm limited in terms of space for physical volumes at the moment), but looking through iTunes, the only options are French volumes of the main series.

Apparently chapters 11-15 are out. Vol 5, I believe? I heard someone got their hands on it a few weeks ago, and I've been wondering if there's been any updates.

there's will be no volume 5, fairy girls ended at 4, according the fairy tail wikia it ended, which well Im not gonna say anymore, I made it obvious I dont have a very high opinion on fairy girls. out of all the spinoffs I liked its the sabretooth, gajeel and laxus all done by the same guy. as far as I can tell, there's no ongoing spinoffs right now,
