You know there might be a way for Mashima to explore Angel Saint Micaldi which is if Angel Saint Micaldi was the one who sealed Acnologia away 400 years ago on Mount Saint Zonia (which would explain what Acnologia was doing those past 400 years) and that Angel Saint Micaldi was the one who saved Gildarts after he was attacked by Acnologia.

I was wondering the same thing but if I could guess maybe the sequel is 232 chapters since that’s enough chapters for Fairy Tail to reach chapter 777.
