Damn this sounds interesting as hell. Have these been confirmed? Cause it would be really shitty if I got myself all hyped up just for this to turn out to be fake. Also, I can't imagine that Naoya's role in this arc is done already.

It's confirmed
That's awesome. I've seen a bunch of people complaining recently that the series isn't doing anything that interesting or is moving too slowly, but this should wake everybody up. The only thing that could make this chapter greater is if Nobara was in it.

Woah you guys are faster than Zen'in projection sorcery.

Gotta love how Yuta actually still on Gojo's side, I was hyped for his first appearence but was kinda sad to see him as some old man pawn. Guy gave me some Hawks vibe with this double-agent performance.

Kinda wish Naoya died, that man smells trouble to me, from his face to his shoe.

More explanation on Yuji's background is also cool. Looking forward for chapter release. :)

So I guess this explains why Choso thinks of Yuji as his younger brother? Choso told Yuji to remember a man, but turns out the guy in Geto's body was a woman at the time. Was not expecting that at all, crazy twist.

Well we knew that Kamo/brain-kun went from body to body to live from whichever time he was born up to the present, but WHAT A REVEAL.
That's one plot twist I didn't expect.

Okkotsu isn't just a power house, he have a creepy happy smile, is smart, have a lot of empathy and make jokes about how strong and handsome Gojo is. A few chapters and Gege flashed him out so much, what a guy.
I wanted to punch Yuji on the face because of how selfish he's being while people are going around trying to help and be helped by him.

Not dissapointed by the design of the shown characters staying as it is. Just a little bit of time has passed, it's not like Naruto where shippuden and next gen happens after years.

And one last note. This culling game might be the best kind of 'tournament of power' I've seen in an anime or manga up to date. The rules are simple yet dangerous. Specially the one about implementing new rules by spending some points. Can't guess who will make them and/or when changes are about to happen.

Wait, explain this to a dummy. Did the brain give birth to Yuji? That's so dark and twisted. Jeezus, what a diabolic villain we have on our hands.
I think the twist is that Noritoshi Kamo (Pseudo-Geto, the imposter or brain-kun, you decide which name you like the best hehe) was possessing his mom body at the time she gave birth to him. My assumption is she is the woman named Kaori, she died and brain-kun possessed her body to proceed with some experiments. This bring us back to the first two chapters/episodes when Sukuna asking himself who is this boy. Wish I could give you a better explanation, but I'll wait for the next chapters before I formulate a better answer. For the moment, I hope this suffices.

But one may regain memories from when they were infant even in real life according to some researchers and specialists, specially if it involves trauma.
Do remind tho that real life logic shouldn't be 100% valid basis for fictional content. If Yuji can supress a 1000 yo cursed spirit trying to possess his body, recalling an event isn't something big.

It doesn't have to match up exactly to real world science but he could have had Yuji be like a 2 year, watching them converse from far and it would have worked better, but that's just me. It would have also lined better with the evidence found in studies and/experiments. The issue is the implied age of Yuji, being less than a year old. The fact that the memory in and of itself isn't traumatic, it's just adults talking and at the time Yuji's brain wouldn't have registered the dialogue as traumatic since he wouldn't been able to understand what they were even saying. There were no exclamation marks used so doesn't seem like they were raising their voices, although there is one panel that gives the Grandpa an expression that he might have been speaking louder than normal. But that's speculative since Yuji's mom would probably have heard more of the conversation (but who's to say how much she did in fact hear). There is also the issue of how detail the recollection of the memory was from so long ago. There are more aspects in terms of the science but that would just be rambling. It's ultimately not that big of deal, Gege isn't the first mangaka to have wonky science and he won't be the last.

Mhm, not sure if we should apply real-life logic to this dream yeah. Perhaps it's his heritage (brain?) allows him to see this - since that isn't fully human.
Or maybe the author just didn't really think about it that deeply.

Liked this chapter, felt like a bit of fresh air after all these fighting, and more hectic chapters. Good to see Megumi again after all this time.

Again, we can't apply real world logic as something valid to a fictional work. I know every person is entitled to their opinions and I respect that, but take this pov into account. Even Jin (Yuji's father) talk about the fact that babies might remember more than what we think they would. Some adults yelling that his mom died isn't something light. Even if, again, you don't ignore the fact that Itadori Yuji isn't a normal person at all. His mother was possessed by some mysterious entity at that time and he is the perfect suited vessel for a thousand year old shaman turned cursed spirit.
And as I said, some researchers do say that if it's a traumatic enough moment, a baby might recollect some memories.
One more point is that she/he might asking in a sarcastic way. Or questioning like, y'know, when someone say something that isn't truth or right and you turn to them and "what are you talking about?". I'm sure that's the kind of tone she used to her question, like she wasn't dead and in fact was there in front of him talking. Grandpa was yelling or else the father wouldn't ask for him to low his voice. I don't see how that was speculative.

As you said, Gege isn't the first person to wonky science in fiction. A lot of authors and directors mess with it in manga, comics, movies, animes...

Like I said I thought the chapter was good and that was just a detail I noticed because of my extensive background in science. The baby statement is an emerging theory and it doesn't relate to memories like this. A study like that would have essentially required a toddler to have experienced something and ask to recall the experience 15 - 16 years later in great detail. No such study exists to my knowledge.

A part of what makes fiction interesting and relatable is being grounded in realism. Being able to relate to the characters, understanding the world around the characters etc. I doubt this is a special case, unless told otherwise, it could just have been an oversight on the author's part. Most people won't notice it and it will ultimately not affect the overall quality of the work.

Also there is nothing in the official release about the Grandfather raising his voice and like I said there was no use of exclamations of anything, just a singular panel with an expression that might imply he was speaking with a raised voice.
