Sloth and natural disasters actually have very much in common. It would make sense for King's power to be Disaster thematically.

The reason why many natural disasters are so lethal is that people ignore the warning signs and don't prepare for them.

Chastiefol...Fairy kings Forest

So back when ban was trying to steal the fountain of youth
Eliane clearly states that the forest "protects" ban

My questions is, is this enough to classify the forest with a sense of intelligence/consciousness ?
And does chastiefol being an extension of said forest also have intelligence/consciousness?

Re: Chastiefol...Fairy kings Forest

I guess he has a special role to play, maybe it had foreseen what would happen wit King's absence or something. I don't think Chastiefol is sentient, but the forest can probably understand certain things from it.

Re: Chastiefol...Fairy kings Forest

Chastiefol does heal itself on its own...
I'm merely wondering if it's "alive".
I'm pretty sure it isn't able to hold conversation or anything.

Oh and is king mentally linked to chastiefol in any way, shape or form?

And if anyone knows,
Can king use the trees like helbram did?

And isn't the Ruler of the fairies chosen by the sacred tree?

Well, it wouldn't be weird if the fairy king's forest has some degree of consciousness.

Also, chastiefol is not a part of the forest. Its made from the sacred tree which is not the same as the tree in the forest. The sacred tree is located at the fairy world, whatever that may be.

Re: Chastiefol...Fairy kings Forest

I thought the sacred tree is the big one in the middle
And that it acts like a portal between fairy and human realm...

If so isn't it part of the forest
And if so isn't chastiefol part of said forest as well?

Why would you say that that tree is not the Sacred one?
Sure, King was able to draw out its power even after the destruction of the forest, but who says Chastiefol does not 'hold' the Sacred Tree's power in itself?
King was only able to draw more power after the revival of the forest and its 'forgiving' King after his departure hundreds of years ago.

Because the tree has never been referred to as the sacred tree. The sacred tree has been said to exist within the fairy world, which the manga has never made the point of it being the fairy king's forest. As for who says that about chastiefol, the issue is that no one says it. So far chastiefol seems to draw power from the tree being a part of the tree itself (that much has been said). King himself fight by drawing power from the tree, not chastiefol as a separate entity from the tree. In essence, king using chastiefol is the same thing as helbram using those root things.

As for the bold part, I am pretty sure none of that has ever been said. I think helbram mentioned something about forgiving but to me it kinda looks like the situation is that the tree was never angry to begin with considering king made the point that the tree has no sentiments of evil and whatnot. King probably became stronger as he fought helbram because he was protecting someone, something which in earlier chapters elaine specifically said is the situation when king is at his stronger.

King implied he had been unable to draw out power from the Sacred Tree by stating: "Please... just this once... work for me!" when the Albion was destroying the forest. His power increased due to his need to protect the forest and his fellow fairies, which very well means that the forest was 'angry' at him prior to that. Sure, it may not have sentiments of good and evil, but why else did King stop being able to draw out power?

Harlequin is the King of the fairies; why would he not live in that so-called 'fairy realm'?
Ban, who revived the forest, was directly seen as a king.
King was considered a 'traitor' for leaving the forest behind.
Everything implies that the Fairy realm is the forest itself.

This seriously is what I was thinking...
Kinda
The fairy realm seems to be connected to that Forest but not that forest itself, the Tree in the middle seems like a portal that fairies can use to get between the realms but for some reason or another it either can't work

We have seen king draw power from chastiefol, and by extension the sacred tree, from literally the first time we saw him. The angry thing came up when he was fighting helbram and king went to immediately and decisively debunk the idea. Its certainly not a thing later on. King was banking on chastiefol's release working, not just merely drawing power from the tree. King has never been unable to draw its power, no manga event validates the notion.

Sure, king is the king of fairies but there is no manga evidence as of now that the fairy realm which has been mentioned a number of times is actually the fairy king's forest.
Ban being seen as king is irrelevant. The fairies don't pick their king, at least not in a context relevant to king's position, it simply doesn't work like that. They could have elections and vote ban prime minister of fairies and it would still be meaningless in any context relevant to king's position.

Actually, nothing really implies the fairy king's forest is the fairy world. At least nothing yet. The fairy world and the fairy king's forest have so far been referred to differently and the tree at the tree at the FKF has never been called the sacred tree. Its always and consistently different terminology. Add to that the fact that the fairy king's forest was easily and instantly burned by a lone red demon. The sacred tree from which king draws power has shown a number of abilities from sun powered beams to healing. Considering all the qualities we have seen from the sacred tree so far, the tree at the fairy king's forest has shown precisely 0 of them. King is supposed to eventually draw enough power out of the sacred tree to take on commandments. Do you think something that can be foderized by a worthless red demon would ever stand up to a commandment? If that was the sacred tree then it literally would be useless against a commandment.

Well the fairy king's forest was shown to produce a liquid (non alcoholic... Lol)
That can add 10 years for a lick 100 years for a sip and immortality for the entire cup...

And having characters/beings with insane powers yet very low abilities is common...
The soul King in bleach holds the universe together... Yet he was killed with an accidental slash...

King was able to draw out power, duh, but it was limited to a small amount. When he was fighting Helbram, the latter asked King as to how he was able to draw out so much power from the tree, even though the tree had felt betrayed and abandoned. King's drawing out power was surely limited.
'Please work for me, just this once!' is not 'merely Releasing his ST'. King was begging his treasure to activate, which was apparently not able to be activated prior to that point.

Ban being seen as King is not irrelevant at all in case of our topic. If those fairies saw Ban as the king, there is no implication that there are fairies elsewhere. If there's a 'fairy realm' in another place, Harlequin's place would be there.

Nothing exists that it's not, either.
The Tree's power does not have to necessarily involve ray beams like Sunflower's... Chastiefol simply holds its qualities and takes power from it. Whether this power is in the form of a spiritual one or directly material, we don't know.
Wait... you're blaming a tree for falling to a Red Demon? It's a god-damn tree. It should hold no combative abilities whatsoever, so that point is irrelevant. The power it can suffice should be enough to keep up with a Commandment's and that's all there should be to it.

The tree felt abandoned? Did it suddenly turn into a 15 year old girl whose best friend has the same crush as her? King debunked the idea of the tree doing anything of the sort. To add to that, helbram's point was the most extreme opposite of what you are suggesting. He was asking why the tree hasn't forsaken him. Helbram expected the tree to forsake king, which it never did.

As for the ban thing, I am not sure of what you are talking about. Fairies elsewhere? In the end there could be a billion billion fairies in a million worlds and none of them could make ban a fairy king in a context relevant to king' role. Its exclusively the sacred tree's prerogative.

I am not blaming the tree. I am merely saying that the idea of a red demon destroying THE sacred tree is ridiculous. The sacred tree which fairies use to fight is as a matter of fact immensely powerful. King himself fights by drawing power from it. He literally defeated helbram because he could draw more power than him from it. And not only it has an immense volume of power but it also has god knows how many abilities. Each chastiefol form corresponds to an ability or attribute the tree itself has, king makes that point every time he explains a chastiefol form. Helbram specifically used the roots of the tree to fight. So with that in mind, how could the tree, which is nothing short of a huge mass of power and abilities, be destroyed by the lowliest type of demons around?

Whatever for the second part; you don't seem to get my point.

Sure, but it's a goddamn tree. The power it holds does not directly imply that it should be pugnacious.
It holds a lot of power, but who says that it can manifest it like the fairies?
It's assumption from both sides, but that's what I'd originally go for.

But there is no real evidence of that going on. Without the stuff helbram said which was immediately debunked we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Well, no, I did say "I am not sure of what you are talking about".

Its a god damned tree with immense volume of power and abilities who gets to arbitrarily pick who rules over fairies. And at least one of its powers seems to have specifically defensive purposes. For something like a red demon to be able to destroy that the implication would be that in spite of all of its qualities, attributes and powers it is literally defenseless. One way or the other though, the manga does not quite back up (at least yet) the idea that the huge tree at the fairy king's forest is the actual sacred tree. So far the terminology at least implies something completely different.

Alright how fast can chastiefol move?
If meliodas can counter ground it cloud lightning then
He at least can react to it. King and ban are faster than meliodas...
And king's shown multiple times to be able to move chastiefol so fast ban can't dodge or react...

So is chastiefol at least as fast as lightning?
Faster?

You are mixing speed and reactions, Chastiefol is not as fast as lightning.

Ban is faster but King? It's never really been said, even though King could hit Ban with his spear at times, it's not fast to the point Ban can't react to his attacks, Ban also caught King like that at times.

Well, the speed thing should work differently for king. His mobility should only be matched by merlin so far considering the whole flying thing to begin with so a comparison in speed would be murky from the start. To add to that king fights exclusively at a range and his weapon moves freely so defending from it should be quite difficult for meliodas. Logically speaking king should be faster than meliodas, at least until mel activated his demon powers which push his PL slightly above king.

What does strike me as odd about king as his position as fairy king is that apparently he has the ability to bring back the fairy king's forest. At least if we trust good old gerhart. However king did not seem to do that while he thought the forest was gone. Perhaps he tried but couldn't because ban planted the seed? Or perhaps king has more powers than he knows off? If he can bring back the forest on his own then perhaps it means that what makes him fairy king pertains to a rather unique connection he has to the sacred tree. Something that makes him distinct from the other fairies. I wonder if fairies are born from the sacred tree itself or something...
