I have been thinking lately of Laxus' relevance to the story. I am going to act as if Mashima actually has a role for Laxus and isn't just a filler character (possible).

So it would seem that Laxus' aim is to protect people. So how would he best show that intention?

I think he should do something that protects team Shadowgear or the weaker guild members. If this means he has to fight another Spriggan then okay, but I would like to see him do something that acknowledges all these people he used to torment. That would be better than a badass fight or whatever.

he will most likely be sidelined like in the Tartaros arc. I can see that happening. Hiro did say that Laxus wil have a major role in upcoming arcs(Alvarez).

I won't be surprised if his role is minimal from now on. I always hope for some more, but I am also satisfied with the amount of attention he's had already.

One of the ??? is a possible fight for him - but we need to remember there's a ton of other characters who aren't engaged or assigned...

- Sting and the rest of ST
- Kagura and MH
- Lyon and the rest of LS
- The Wizard Saints
- Ichiya/BP + Quattro Puppy

^From that, it's quite possible Laxus doesn't fight any more Spriggans, and helps out with the 1 million soldiers. His condition is poor when we last seen him too.

he can finish the job he started with Ajeel. I think that would be epic. just droppes the nuke, this time seriously, and KO/kills him.


well, Erza recovered from her horrendous injuries. then again, Erza' endurance and durability are the highest in FT guild, even more than Laxus.

I think Luxus has no more fight "big" as against Whall at most if we are generous, it helps some vs spriggan ( luxus/Gildart vs August, exemple) or is fighting the soldiers.

and Jellal, wanted against Neinhart who must have some trick in the manga.

Meanwhile, Kagura and Erza advance towards Irene. Jellal has no weight to make double fight, Erza looms large and no space for it. Same this last time.

I liked the one during Tenrou arc and Battle of F arc. Alvarez arc is also a very good one. GMG looks very good but the outfits color is purple. it seems kinda off.

Outfit #4, #11, and #12 got many votes. I voted for #7, #10, #12. They all look neat. Especially #12, he is a gentleman. Honorable mentions: #4, #6, and #8. Outfit #4 made him look so lonely. Outfit #6 made him look royal. Outfit #8 looks like sportswear. It made him look more agile

Personally I think laxus will become relevant during the arc when acknologia is back. Sure, he got sent somewhere in the middle of the ocean by irene but something as petty as being halfway around the world is at the absolute worst case scenario a mild inconvenience for the likes of acknologia, by far the strongest creature in the world. So he got sent god knows where but it is extremely likely that he is simply flying back right now. And It shouldn't take him too long to return, at the most several hours. At the end of tartarus we saw the dragons fly across the continent to destroy face and acknologia is presumably faster than them. Perhaps once irene undoes her landscaping magic acknologia will be shuffled to a random location once again though. In any case, if acknologia shows up again then the seven dragonslayers will be both continents best change at winning. So logically laxus becomes relevant at this point.

- Assist Erza against Irene
- Team up with someone against August
- Oneshot Jacob/Ajeel
- Fight against Larcade if he wakes up as an Etherious demon
