For those that don't know, one of my other favorite characters is Laxus. He hasn't had much of a spotlight in the Alvarez Arc, except for his battle against Wahl. I wasn't particularly a fan of that battle because it was yet another fight in which Laxus was handicapped.

That pattern kinda got boring, since we've rarely seen Laxus in good condition and at full power, fighting the main villains. If the future treats him well, he might get a spotlight against Acnologia along with the other dragon slayers.

However, I also wouldn't mind if Laxus were to have a battle with END.

There's not much to judge off of, but if I were to name Laxus' most badass panels in this arc, it'd be this:

Laxus saying "Run? Fool, this is only the intermission..." before launching a nuke at Ajeel was probably the current arc's greatest hype.

He looks like a guild master in that photo. My thing is that people downplay his showing in the last fight. While they did get stomped (as they damn well should with the amp Acno got) Laxus still managed to speed blitz and land a hit on Acno. An super amped Acno.

Maybe Laxus becomes the next guild master in another Laxus spin off. Which Laxus becomes the next guild master in the next after Makarov dies in the spin off.

That would actually be dope. I would really hope that the guy who did all the Dragon Slayers spinoffs is allowed to do a few more short stories. I really enjoyed his delving into those characters.

So, which one?

Well, this is going to be a late reply, but I'll post my take on this, anyways.

I agree with your opinion of how it's cool to see Mashima change up the characters' outfits between different arcs. That's actually one of the main highlights of FT, in my opinion. Glad to see someone noticed this and decided to bring it up (I sure forgot about it). Good memory, ahmadrizqik (or @DiMaria Yesta if that's what you prefer to go by).


Anyways, I voted for Outfit #1 (Beginning of Fairy Tail), Outfit #4 (vs. Hades), and Outfit #11 (Beginning of Alvarez Arc).

Just like most people, I thought Laxus' outfit against Hades was one of his best attires. I liked the combination of his cloak and the hood. It showed that he was still an outcast from the guild and gave him a more mysterious appearance compared to his normal personality.

Likewise, his clothes at the beginning of Alvarez Arc were also badass-looking. It looked well-suited for combat and the cloak on his back was a great addition to his design. Although.. I was never fan of the fur that lined the cloak, to be honest.



Overall though, I still think that his outfit at the beginning of FT was the best out of all of them. The cape with the Fairy Tail symbol on his back was unquestionably my favorite part about it - since it gave him the appearance of an S-Class wizard from FT.

Not to mention, I thought Laxus looked cooler when he had those lightning-powered headphones. Don't know why Laxus stopped wearing it later on in the series. It was probably the most unique part of his design.



P.S.: By the way, I gotta commend you for taking the time to remember all of his clothing and posting the various pictures for them here. It was a nice look-back on the old Fairy Tail. It developed quite a bit since then.

So other than the obvious salt in your life. Lets look at this. He objectively almost one-shot Ajeel, who only survived because the strongest Spriggan saved him. He then had a good showing against Wahl, who is at worst mid-spriggan level. Until he gets healed and one-shots him. An a memory does not a nakama power-up make. It's the only named spell from a character who almost killed a spriggan with a casual nuke. An then he faces off against an Acno whose been boosted beyond what we saw of Zeref. An manages to blitz him and land a hit in the middle of Acno blitzing the entire assembly of Dragon Slayers. Which is plenty dang impressive all in all. Which is reflected in not only the opinion of the author, but the opinions of the majority of the fan base of his work and even most casual manga/comic fans who know of him. An his showings throughout the series. He's one of the two most powerful mages of his generation. (I say that bc he's more powerful than Jellal. Whose just way more fuckin versatile with his spellcraft, but doesn't have as much pure power) an fans who need to discredit him bc they prefer Jellal.

Juvia said FT wont kill their enemies back then in Sirius Island arc (Meredy fight). But Laxus almost killed Ajeel - made August save him - and killed Wall. Damn he gave them no mercy did he

Ya Laxus kills!! That is one of the reasons I like him in the series. Like don't get me wrong but obliterating the enemy is to ensure that they don't return. Him and Gajeel kill enemies (Gajeel killed Grim Reaper Bloodman).
