Discussion Lucy's Star Dress

What if Lucy could combine Star Dresses? She can summon multiple spirits, what if she could wield the power of more than one spirit too?

I assume she is able to perform such feats (fusing with spirits or combining their attacks) because, since the beginning, she is hinted to have some power in this matter (unison raid being the prime example) so, i assume because of the way how Unison Raid works, that she is indeed more powerfull in this state than the spirit itself. Despite all this, I also think that we still didn't see nothing about Lucy's real power.

To me its a tad interesting that the star dresses seem to be so effective. Its almost like they are even more effective than calling the spirits themselves. Then again that might be because quite a few of them are involved in a decent bit of comedic relieve.

We haven't seen the spirits post time skip. Also Taurus Axe in the earlier chapters sliced right through earth like Lucy's whip and his punches destroyed boulders. I think it is more of the fact that post time skip we are seeing more of Lucy then her spirits. Like we got 1 panel of Taurus fighting and it was small but he took out a decent five-seven soldiers. We also seen Leo versus Leo star dress and it seem like Leo performed better.

If the celestial spirits power grows as Lucy's power grows and star dress increases the users power the celestial spirit would either be stronger or at least on Lucy's level at all times. Also what ever she does is something the represents a piece of the spirits power from Virgo explanation of the dress. Thus meaning we are only seeing a portion of the spirits power through Lucy those meaning the spirit itself would be stronger and use a greater portion then what Lucy is using, if that makes sense.

That is true, the spirits have rarely had a chance to shine this time around. Most of the focus has been on the stardresses. Leo seemed more like comedic relieve though, and even the lucy kick was not all that. Then again with lucy punch she took out that avatar girl.

That logic seems a tad too circular in regards to how spirits work. It would be kinda weird that using a stardress would also power up the spirits... Anyways, last chapter lucy actually used the stardress without calling the spirit. It is an interesting scenario considering she could use a spirit's power at relatively little risk to herself magic wise. Its incredibly convenient. She could even use the power of 3 spirits at a time while only needing to summon 2. I wonder if she can combine dresses... There can be synergy between her spirits, it would be quite powerful if there could be synergy between dresses.

The biggest issue with Lucy's spirits is that they're always used as comedy relief, they're honestly quite strong with Loki being on par with Natsu and Gray before the tenrou island arc. Lucy's Leo form should be just as much of a powerhouse as Loki is. Virgo Form as well should be useful but the biggest issue Virgo has is that she's always used for comedy relief so we got no clue what her real combat ability is.

Taurus always been a powerhouse but he focuses to much on Lucy body and gets himself killed for comedy. Lucy's spirits are just plain stupid sometimes and get Lucy in worst situations because of it. Hopefully this isn't the case anymore after the fact Lucy almost died fighting Tartaros. I wouldn't be surprise if they all trained along side Lucy and gotten stronger.

Sagittarius has only shot normal arrows but who knows maybe because of the timeskip he could possible be able to do a move similar to Lucy's Starshot.

Depending on how long this manga goes we could see stardress combinations after we see all 12 golden key star dresses, But We'll most likely just get Spirit King stardress in the final arc.

Does anyone else believe Lucy will get Libra and Pisces? Or will Yukino also use stardress which I'll call Bull Shit if Yukino gets it.

My bet is more around Lucy will be able to summon them for some strange ass reason, even without keys, if it is really needed or Yukino will be strategically well place in the story plot to appear at that time. I think Lucy' power is the one that is able to vary a lot since it evolves some type of life form related to them. It doesn't make any sense to just erase stellar spirit users just because.

Yukino dying would be too dark a development for the manga. If lucy gets her keys it should be because she either broke her contracts or otherwise stopped being a mage. Kinda like with layla, she stopped being a mage and lost her spirits, which is why for a time zoldeo was the owner of capricorn.

Or Yukino for some reason feels that her keys are safer with Lucy.

No need to kill off Yukino for Lucy to get Pisces and Libra. Gemini can basically just copy Yukino and with that gain the keys.

Its plausible gemini can copy yukino and use her keys but that would be too big a strain on lucy IMO. Gemini has been said to require a lot of magic, can only copy people with similar amounts of magic to lucy and to boot her using spirits would require lucy's magic as well. Lucy can handle 2 spirits easily and odds are she can even handle 3 nowadays however even then then it sounds a bit ridiculous to go this way. It would make more sense to just use gemini to copy the spirit directly. Its plausible a solution to this would be the gemini stardress... It shouldn't cost much magic and could be used to copy something.

It was never stated that Gemini cost more magical power then say Aquarius or Virgo or Leo. If Gemini copied Yukino and used her keys it wouldn't put a strain on Lucy as Lucy's magical power would only be supporting Gemini not the two spirits Gemini summoned. Even if it did ,which it won't, Lucy can open 3+ gates a year ago now she has star dress which increases her magical reserves thus it wouldn't be a strain at all.

At no point in time would Lucy be supporting the spirits Gemini summon. The Spirits summoned by Yukiko(Gemini) would be using Yukino(Gemini) magical reserves. When Gemini copy a person they also copy a persons magical reserves along side everything else.

We have already seen Gemini copy a celestial spirit mage and their keys during the OS arc when Gemini copied Lucy and gained all her keys. Gemini even summoned Sagittarius.

I like the Sagittarius one too, the design is best out of all (in my opinion). Taurus one is pretty useful too, boosts up her strength, which is nice since Lucy is not a physical fighter.

Sagittarius form seems handy. The arrows are like missiles. So Lucy doesn't have to bother aiming many targets one by one. And this form seems to have big explosive power.
