All I have to say about Illuminati that was showcased in the FIRST issue, and once again in the FINAL issue:

Namor freaking rocks.

That is all, first he schools Iron Man and shows him he's nothing more than a pathetic human b$%#, then he kills the first Super Skrull V2 before Stark pulls a Nitro.

Oh, also WTF

Super Skrull with Mjorlnir???????? Or am I going crazy?

That was a Thor-like hammer right... they never dissected Thor.

[dz]Sorry, just had to spoiler-tag that XD There's probably a couple who have yet to read the issues :P[/dz]

That wasn't Mjorlnir. It's probably a fake, or something. The original hammer's still with our dear Thor. XD

I know it wasn't the real one, but if they can copy Black Bolt's power, why not copy the hammer to an almost exact equal, kind of like in Ultimates, except it's wieldable by everyone, and not just Thor/Those worthy

Is it just me or did Namor get a pretty substansial boost in power over the last couple months. He keeps going up against people and just demolishing them (Marvel Boy, Venom, Iron Man, Skrulls, Wolverine) and he seems to be a very high tier marvel character in terms of power.

Maybe the fact that the Ultimate Version of him was just about the most powerful character in the Ultimate universe warranted a boost in mainstream.

I'm pumped for the secret invasion...can't wait to see Marvel Boy mature and beat some people down. I remember his appearence in Young Avengers and he had one ridiculous skillset...it's entirely possible that if he matures he'd be physically comparable to Namor.

And Namor does rock...so much...if only he would use his violence against the Sentry...then I could be happy with Sentry being alive

[dz]LOL! I agree XD[/dz]

First of all, Namor has been very powerful since WWII, he's one of the first comic heroes, and the first mutant.

Secondly, Venom, Wolverine and Skrulls aren't really even in his strength class, much less his tier of power/fighting.

As far as Iron man and Marvel boy, Iron Man is really the one they've boosted to hell with his new powers, he deserves to lose once in a while (I mean did you even SEE the new Hulk Buster?) and Marvel Boy is inexperienced and impulsive whereas Namor has fought hundreds of adversaries.

If you read some of the older comics, you would see Namor (despite the fact that he SERIOUSLY respects him as a God, more than ANY human heroes) fights equally with Thor in the older Avengers comics (the 70's ones).

Yeah but Iron man is prone to one moment looking badass then the next being incapacitated by Spidey. It is strange he's getting all this love lately when he doesn't seem to be a fan favorite...does make for some interesting storylines though.

Does Namor completely heal whenever he contacts water? I never knew he could do that until recently.

And I apologize for growing up in a wikipedia age that doesn't tell me how insanely powerful he is haha...I've only been reading for about 2 years (Him fighting on par with Thor suprised me).

I wasn't even alive in the 70's, I just started downloading Avengers annuals, final issues, first issues etc. Especially since Marvel started repackaging old issues into one big issue and releasing them lately.

The most recent one I downloaded was about Captain America joining the Avengers (which is like Avengers #3), and Namor and his Atlanteans are the enemy. In badly drawn art, he submits Thor is God (and theoretically stronger) but nowhere in the issue does he lose/seem to be weaker.

There used to be a site listing every one of Hulk's fights mono a mono from the 70's-90's. I can't find it anymore, anyway Namor won like 12 times? And only lost 3? So, Namor in water = God, Namor outside of water (unlike Aquaman) = Still damn strong.

Think of Namor like Byakuya.

What the F@#$#%#@

Fantastic Four...
Reed Richards has gone insane... he shot future Namor's head off

Considering Civil War, I don't think it's much of a spoiler but... holy shit this is beyond anything I've seen him do...

I'm pretty sure the end of WWH was just about the lamest, most ill concieved and boring ending in the history of comic storylines...WTF were they thinking.

Somehow, I now hate the Sentry at least twice as much as previously...which i didnt think was possible.

Terrible...just terrible on every front...none of the decisions the characters made were true to their character and it was incredibly sloppy.

Best ending since the Matrix revolutions...

Well if you've ever read Planet Hulk you have to understand the the Hulk never worked well as a crossover. In fact what made Planet Hulk better was the fact that he was completely seperated from the sucky Civil War.

But damn! Skaar, Son of Hulk sound freaking badass. Though he is just a newborn... well he's a badass baby =]

Thor is... interesting, and well... it feels a lot like Captain Marvel. I can't say either is doing bad but I will say that you shouldn't read them side by side or you'll get a deja vu. Though you should read them... if that makes sense. I can't spell his name but the writer of Thor is one of my favs.

I agree...both feel like that are rediscovering who they are as a resurrected character or trying to figure out it is that they used to be and why. Thor could use a little more action though when he beat down Iron Man it was awesome.

I also agree that Planet Hulk was better because he was away from everything...I think I'll enjoy any Hulk title where he can really let loose and be himself.

My major problem with the end of WWH was the use of Sentry...what fans like the Sentry anyways? He just swoops in as this character with little background other than he is a complete and utter Superman ripoff...and he is supposed to save the day. Give me anyone but his lame self.

Though I'm confused about the return of Captain Marvel despite Illuminati #4 and the way they spoke with Marvel Boy.

Punisher War Journal.

I love the writer. What can I say? He writes Spidey a whole lot bettter than the Spidey we read in AMS. LMAO, is all I can react.

New Avengers kicked-ass, but...

Is it that simple? Grouping up together? I suppose it is...because that's what I'd do, really.

But yeah. Heh. Starting to finally feel like Avengers. AAAAH. Leinil, I love you. The last page was too brilliant.

Can't wait for the next ish.

[edit]

Okay. I properly scanned the last page.

And I cnnot stop laughing. HOWARD THE DUCK?! HAAAAAAAAAH. Oh Gd. And I just realised Thor is there. Not forgetting that he's right in front of your eyes, but I think I may have been spazzing too much over Storm to notice. But anywho.

Vision?!

Silver Surfer?! (WHAT?)

THE PUNISHER?

Maaan. This is too awesome for me. My only complaint is, where in the fucking world does this fall into the continuity? Goodness. I hate getting confused.

This is the special comic that lead Marvel's return

Nothing special if you already know that Captain Marvel is coming from the dead =/

As for New Avengers
ILLUSION! Of course they couldn't get the Silver Surfer, and those B-Z listers don't deserve his attention.

The New X-men like to die... a lot.

I mean honestly, which one of them hasn't died would actually be easier then listing the ones the have. Ok, anyways people should read Iron Man annual if you want a good one shot.

Don't say that! D: I'm hoping he isn't...you know! D:

My GOD, what is it with writers wanting to kill the younger students, ANYWAY?! There's THREE Summers brothers. Why can't they just go for them? XD

The Iron Man Annual dissapointed me mostly because of the lack of Maria Hill =_= But, suffice to say, it does have a good story. I'm jsut not happy with...trying to figure out where this falls into the continuity. I'll admit to that. Marvel definitely sucks at continuity.
