Yeah, prob about a mid diff win for half dead Igneel vs %50 Merc if we go by hype. Though by feats it's a low diff win for Igneel. If Merc took Acno's place in the Tartaros fight he would be dead by the point where Igneel smashed him into the ground, since Merc doesn't have Acno's plot protection, strong PoF due to the death of his family, or immunity to magic.

Acno has not even shown any feat that topped Merc’s Ocean lifting feat, that is all I have to say

Using science to determine the level of a character matters only when comparing characters from different series, in which case the characters do scale to high values (Multi-Continent is a bit much though)

Inverse however, the only thing that matters is author's portrayal of characters compared to each other. So the whole discussion of whether or not Merc is multi-continental is irrelevant to the subject at hand.

It is, more impressive than substandard size explosions, you just don’t know how big a difference there is in it’s significance

@CaptainTorch off topic, actually makes sense when scaling Merc to Acno who scales to Etherion after calcing it’s blast size, it doesn’t really have to be limited to inverse series though as there are battles from the same verse in crossover battle websites
