Of course, but what's gold about it is that it totally crushes your logic about Merc lifting an ocean. You even said it, "the ocean around the town, not the entire ocean" a perfect description of Merc's feat.

How does destroying a town crush my logic? Because where it stands it does not, and rather consistent to the story, I said for Merc’s feat is an ocean worth of water around the town and beyond being accumulated. Nice try though with finding flaws but that does not work

This describes what Merc did perfectly, and it's thanks to Gray's statement about Skullion that you said it. So you can either admit that Skullion could erase an ocean, admit Merc couldn't lift an ocean, be a hypocrite and ignore the statement about Skullions water feat while still proporting Merc's, or just try to brush it aside because you have no answer for it. All scenarios seem pretty golden to me, especially since in the end, spell size don't mean shit in FT.
