smarttoon? :ginwut
You guys noticed the term "smarttoon"? I read it was meant for mobile users. I find it very strange that even there are comics specifically used for mobile phones. On top of it I didn't see any difference than usual webtoons. XDD
There you go. Webtoon alone was enough a new, interesting discovery for me when I first touched manhwa. Now with smarttoon. Aren't Korean amazing? :sweat

We use cell phones for browsing, emails, facebook, chatting. etc. I also have used my phone to read manga when I was travelling or I don't have access to my laptop / pc. Other times I have used it when I was too lazy :p. Not a satisfying experience though. In my opinion, its a very smart move. We are depending more on cell phones then before. We use them for camera, mp3, gaming console, etc. Koreans are just smart in anticipating the future demands.

I question a little bit how much of a chance a story really has to carry full impact on a smart phone. A tablet or something I could see but when I sit down to read something I want prop my feet up brew a cup of tea and immerse myself the story as much as I can.

For me it's kinda the same thing with gaming. Like Scav I have a PSP, and am quite fond of it, but I aways ended up playing it at home; because that's a better experience.

Indeed. I don't think smarttoon can replace for those experiences. Nevertheless, its a good addition when you are travelling or you can't wait to read it till you get hands on something bigger.

That's something I definitely agree with and they really should be able to provide both. Which is why the smartoon idea seems...off to me.

I'm reading quite a lot on my ipod since I take a lot of public transport.
It's not as good as on a computer because of the size but having a continuous reading without having to load every pages is quite confortable.
In the case of the smartoon, reading it on a computer with all those black space was rather unconfortable

Re: Manhua Hangout Thread

City of Darkness is nice. But I have a question for Manwa mangahelpers:

I read a manwha, I think it is a web manwa, about a guy who likes women's swimwear and joins his schools swimteam disguised as a women, so he can fully enjoy his hobby. Someone knows the name of it? It was quite fun.

Welcome to mh farah48 - glad to see another manhwa fan here!

Similar to ID - I can't think of any specific at the moment besides ID entity or better known as Yureaka.
Have you read Noblesse or Tower of god?

Welcome!

I'd second the recommendation of Tower of God. It's not "like" Id exactly, but it's every bit as good in it's way. If slow pacing doesn't bother you, you might want to consider the Magician as well. It's a fantasy series that's really good, but does take a good while to get going and I realize that's not for everybody.

Dark Air might also be worth checking out for you. It's not a favorite of mine but it is pretty similar to Id in some ways, and a lot of people are fond of it.

A manhwa similar to ID is a tough one. I would say Dark mage is a good one to match but it ended half way.
If i have to stretch the criteria a bit then 'Magician' is a good choice.
If you are looking for some good manhwa to read though i would say Noblesse and Tower Of God(assuming that you are already reading Breaker, i mean for manhwa fans its a given now a days).
We have thread for Magician which is active, so you ll get to know us fans in the MH and talk abt the release so on and so forth and also thread for Dark mage which went dead due to its premature ending.
Hope i helped

This is Crepuscule which is translated the day the chapter is out by one of the fast Edited Manga team. I'm not up to date with it. The pace is quite slow to be honest.
