Wait, what did you mean when you said she lifted the ocean? When I was talking about the chain I was talking it would physically be harder to lift a heavy object like a chain underwater. Unless she somehow lifted an ocean physically there's no comparison to be made.
Also that's what caused the MP confusion, I thought you were referring to her lifting the ocean via MP.
I just pointed it out because I think he was hit by the chain along with Neinhart's attack so he wasn't oneshotted. Unless you think he was already down before the chain land on top of him
Jellal high to extreme diff. Jellal was a wizard saint, that clearly puts him above the most of FT characters at the beginning of the series. As for experience and training,he has that for a very long time, his childhood was dark and he lived and fought dark guilds for years in the name of CS after that long Tenrou timeskip which the Tenrou team missed.
His effort to push Acnologia to the hole was pretty impressive for a human IMO. Jellal,Laxus and Gildarts were portrayed to be one of the strongest mages even without a wizard saint label. Even Erza can see that. For me, Jellal > Erza by a little margin and same goes for Mira.
I still need to see Mira actually defeating a high tier opponent at full power without holding back. (I hope we see it with her battling DEs) to be convinced that she is still on par with Erza because I felt like she lost that spot as the series goes on.
IMO Lucy and Mira's fights were the only ones who were hyped but you ended up frustrated or unsatisfied mostly of their outcomes-like turning it to a gag, very short, handicapped (Lissana ),cheated etc. I hope and would like to believe that they get a very decent battle in the new series, considering that the series so far is kind of different compared to what we used to see.
In a one-on-one fight, Jellal is too much for Mirajane. He'd overwhelm her pretty much from the beginning. He could win this without getting hurt, although he'd have to spam some strong attacks, which he can.
If talking brute strength, Jellal is stronger but depending on various circumstances and based on vast options of demon souls Mirajane has, she might have the upper hand. While Jellal has speed and really strong attacks, based on different attacks that I have seen, they seem pretty limited when compared to Mira's numerous souls having an arsenal of attacks unique to each one of them.
Wait......... maybe I should change my vote. Mira for the win.
Mira wins. Mira's out stats him. She has above average physical strength feats amongst the guild and she has the speed and flight to keep up with meteor. Plus she has lethal hax that Jellal can't counter.
She has also been withstanding an onslaught from Skullion while in BSS and Skullion tanked a DeS sword without a scratch and scrubbed DeS Gray.

Also Algeria magic flex vaped a sea in the anime which was crazy.

Im not a scientist, but I know one thing - it is much easier to lift a thing underwater than on the ground. Just try to take up 20kg rock from ground and underwater - feel the difference.
Also, Jellal is a mage, he doesnt need to lift something with his human strength, he could blow up that chain or make it fly away xd
And funny state - cats with wings can take a human weight
The only problem is that @Jko is right. Jellal has terrible potrayal right now. However given what we know in the past, I don't think she's equal or surpassed Laxus' supposed rival. Plus, it's expected that Jellal is gonna do something big soon.
Checked out this thread cuz a friend told me it would be funny. You know who you are broski.
Mira doesn't have anything in her arsenal that would even push the fight to mid diff lmao. Jellal's speed alone would allow him to pretty much be untouched the whole fight and just outlast Mira, which is all he'd need to do since Mira would need Alegria to do any type of notable damage to him. And that shit has SSJ3 levels of crap power consumption.
Whether or not you want to argue that Jelly's dura is bad, he won't be getting touched anyway.
Without Alegria, she's not going to do much damage. With Alegria, she can push to mid diff but Jellal would be too fast for her anyway. He can just barrier himself, in case Alegria does get too close for comfort.

Vast option of souls? Like what, five?
We don't even know if she still has her Tartarus demons as well (since Zeref died). In which case, it becomes 3 (Satan Soul, Sitri and Halphas....as I missing something?)
If we're talking about versatility, Jellal fall behind only August, Zeref and Hades in versatility in the entire series. Not sure why you're bringing up versatility as an argument that favors Mira
How does Mira win this? Jellal, like Laxus, no sold Kiria's roar.....which damaged Erza and one shotted DF Wendy & Lucy. He's constantly portrayed with Laxus (even in the spinoff). And is probably the fastest "good" character (with DF Natsu being a possible exception)
Jellal pretty much tanks Mira unless she goes Alegria (which we don't even know if she still has). If she goes Alegria, he just evades her for the most part, and can cast barrier in case Mira gets too close for comfort

What's with this headcannon of her losing her forms?
Do you genuinely believe Mashima would take away her strongest form? Her losing her forms seems too much head cannon for me. I get the whole Zeref thing but the souls belong to Mira now as far as I'm aware.
