No it didn't. That's silly. It just takes Natsu a certain emotional state to activate. Just because the fight lasted 15 or so chapters doesn't mean it takes 15 chapters for that specific attack to charge up. That's like saying that it took Irene 11 chapters to activate her dragon form and swing her claws because she started fighting Erza in chapter 507 and took until 518 to enter her dragon form.

Could Irene and Laxus beat Natsu before he works up the emotions necessary to overpower them? Possibly. But those are scenarios. I'm just interested in who is the most powerful.

Whichever way you look at it, his FoE kicked in after a long period of fighting and him getting resurrected from the dead. Why would he use FoE on someone from the guild when it's the guild fire??

His DF on the other hand maybe, because it's now easier for him to access as we've seen since Tartaros.

Regardless of how long the fight went on before he actually used it, it's still more powerful.

On the basis of power levels though,

Well, she is still my favorite thou since this whole alvarez arc was ruined by Plot sama!
Anyway i wish we got to see her as an adult (like a timeskip or sth, if only she wasn't in citrus)

Nah They are Group of 5 members. Each one is a Natsu who had slayer Acnologia in different timelines. After everything is dusted Natsu leaves FT to form the fire nation with them.

On a serious note, they might be like seven deadly sins each member having a certain personality taken to the extreme.

As for elements, I would go for Nether, Storm, Fire(strongest). As long it's not lightning I am fine.

My theory is the same as @Axiomus, when a 5th gen uses DF they become like partial/mini dragons that lose their humanity and normal sanity. BDSK are basically the 5th gen that mastered their DF transformation while keeping their sanity, memories, and human characteristics. Maybe even able to change back into human at will.

I can't wait to see 5th gen DF, I'll never agree with the 2nd gen having DF convo, it's cap and bs to me but getting this confirmed and the reason why they can't use it is perfect, been wondering why Kiria didn't use it against Erza or even Laxus. I still prefer S12 > DEs but I'll be lying if they haven't caught my interest given their role in 100YQ
