Where on earth did you get the idea that it was Shamrock talking to the Five Elders? That makes zero sense in any way—everything, absolutely EVERYTHING, confirms that the person who spoke to the Gorosei was Shanks, and it was about Blackbeard.

1. Garling would easily have access to the Gorosei since he’s a Holy Knight—he wouldn't need to hide himself, and he would have had plenty of other opportunities to speak with them besides the Reverie.
2. Why on earth would he arrange such a high-stakes, secretive meeting just to talk about a pirate who is IMPRISONED IN ELBAF, TIED TO A TREE, AND UNABLE TO MOVE!!!!?

This logic simply doesn't hold up

You must have missed the part where the Gorosei were pissed off at Garling for just walking in on them without permission until they found out he had been promoted.

Holy Knights can’t just decide to drop in on the Gorosei for a chat whenever they want.

Oh would you look at that, another Wano backstory being told it in an SBS .

This would've been so good in Wano. It connects the past, shapes the present, and may raise questions about Morias standing for the future. It would also give the SHs a perspective what happens when they actually fail without the possiblity of recovery... Maybe Oda felt it was a bit redundant since we got glimpses about Morias character here and there.
