As it turns out, Tama is Kurozumi Tama and related to Orochi

I'm so glad we got multiple chapters of Orochi dying instead of focusing on Zoro's lineageSeriously? Zoro's family tree in a SBS?![]()

A long flashback about his grandparents wouldn't have been needed, it could have been done in two pages of time-jumping scenes, but I would have definitely liked to see a flashback about his relationship with his parents and their deaths. Every strawhat except for Brook and Zoro have that.I think Oda was mainly only concerned about the Ryuma parallel and enough hints were dropped about it in the story to pretty much confirm that Zoro is the next incarnation of the Sword God. I can see why he left all of those extra details out because, honestly, they really don't add to anything to Zoro's character path. I will say that Oda could've easily folded it into some dialogue in the Kozaburo flashback though, like Kozaburo confirming that Zoro and Kuina were cousins or something.

This one was really obvious. Pretty sure I called it out on the forums about a year ago, or maybe more.As it turns out, Tama is Kurozumi Tama and related to Orochi
He was likely an orphan at an early age, similar to Nami. We don't know her true heritage, but we have Bellemere as her surrogate. Kurshirou and Kuina basically functioned as Zoro's surrogate family from what we've seen.A long flashback about his grandparents wouldn't have been needed, it could have been done in two pages of time-jumping scenes, but I would have definitely liked to see a flashback about his relationship with his parents and their deaths. I'll guess that his father's death motivated the Pirate Hunter thing.
With Oda's habit of for some unknown reason needing to give every fucking member of this crew some unique heritage (why can't the characters just simply be unique on their own?) I wouldn't be surprised if we run across some bullshit showing that Nami is related to some hugely influential woman in the OP-world, or something. I mean at this point I wouldn't be surprised if we found out Chopper's deer-daddy was a crew member of Roger. He was likely an orphan at an early age, similar to Nami. That would have been awesome with this context. Like imagine Zoro at the grave returning Shusei himself and pouring some sake, one for the grave and the other for himself. Zoro could have restated his goal of being WSS to the grave with the realization that Kuina was more than just a friend but an actual relative to him.Surely Oda could've just squeezed in one chapter for Zoro's lineage and tied it to him visiting Ryuma's grave? He really had to do this shit in an SBS, smh
And that Yamato may end up defending Tama from discrimination like how Oden did for Kawamatsu and the Minks. This one was really obvious. Pretty sure I called it out on the forums about a year ago, or maybe more.
It almost angers me that oda is all "I don't think we need to elaborate on this further". I mean, why build this up over god knows how many chapters? Oda could at least have the decency to admit he wanted this to be relevant but when the time came he couldn't fit it into the arc.
