I do like Sanji's introduction and the Baratie's atmosphere. I had hope that Zeff didn't threw food away. But in the show, he kinda did because Luffy ate it. Though I vaguely remember the same thing happen in the manga but i thought one of their core value is not wasting food. Need to reread this.
Mihawk's intro is great. The fight scene that he introduced in is very fun but but but but. It does diminished some of his characterization. He is one of the least obedience among the warlords. Maybe, you can said because it is a request from Garp. But still he isn't supposed to be a good lap dog. This also caused some problems as well. In the manga, he kinda accidentally stumble upon the strawhats while hunting down Krieg. Here he is in a random place, and then have to hunt down Luffy in an entire ocean. And somehow manage to get into the right bar.
Mihawk here has a lot of sass. It does work in the live action. However, I rather he is more stoic and talk less. And when he does talk, it just epic lines. That is a tad hard to translate. So what they did is acceptable.
Zoro's flashback from last ep is pretty good. And it does set up pretty nicely for the confrontation. The fight is as good as it can be. Except the attack at the end lol, it doesn't translate all that welll. But it was short enough for me to buy into it without overthinking it. Zoro's emotional moments is a tad of a mix bag. I guess you can consider it as well done. And it feel almost 1 to 1 translation from the manga. However, because of that, it doesn't feel as natural. I wish
Mackenyu intepret it as his own, rather than a duplication. A lesser duplication since it lack that crazy snot crying that infamous for One Piece.
Zoro-Nami's drinking game is pretty good. Usopp lack the cowardice trait in the last episode. But the show continue to be excellence with his bullshit trait. Luffy-Sanji dynamic is pretty good. Though at one point the group had a forced group laugh. This is the second time, where I don't feel very natural. These scenes would be good for some improv acting. Where the actor by their own natural personality and comedy making each other laugh. I like that more. Than rehearsed lines.
Garp's stuffs in the beginning was fine. He throwing the cannon ball was cool. I still feel it some what jarring. But consider he serving the role of Johnny and Yosaku and push the strawhats to the next location. Then it is a well adapted giving the resources.
