It's ch801 that you're talking about. I always saw as him referring to the pirate throne, in relation to Whitebeard being dead and him being arrested, so there not being anyone left to reign in the "beasts" that he fed in the underworld in his Joker persona.

As he does mention "empty throne" in the translation I've seen, I can see why you think so. But that would mean there are pirates out there aware of the TRUE WG hierarchy, or possibly with the ambition of Rocks to overthrow the Celestial Dragons and rule the world. In which case, it would tie in with Kaido, as we know he was an apprentice for the Rocks Pirates, so him taking on that ideology fits in.

He doesn't need to know anything for it to be true. How that makes any sense I can't explain properly yet. Essentially I think it is purposefully worded so that while Doflamingo is clearly talking about the Pirate King Title, he also foreshadowes the Empty Throne.

And all the things I have researched could point in the direction that Pirate King and King of the World are the same, or rather can be the same depending on your actions. Both titles at least are another pair of twisted twins. What Luffy understands of being Pirate King, it means being the most free man in the world. Someone that can do what he wants, follows no ruler and is essentially beyond any laws other than his own. And the King of the World, Imu is essentially that, he owns the world and is the law.
I found too many matching motives between Im und Luffy to discard it as a coincidence.

I am not sure if I am ever going to compile it all into one theory because basically I am good at connecting and mixing things, but I am kinda bad at structure, at least when it comes to longer texts, and that one would be quite a long text because obviously I don't have any conclusions just multiple likely possibilities.

But what I am going to do next... Since I study in Dusseldorf and just discovered the Japanese district I will just ask someone if he can look up whether people in Japan have similar ideas to mine.

Which I expect at least in some parts, because I already found out that they love meta research. So whenever I am there and make a tour through the different bookstores I will look out for people interested in One Piece and will ask if they do me a favor and google some questions. It is probably going to take some time since I also need to find someone who has some insight into Manga discussion hubs but I think eventually it should work out. Will probably try quite often because the district is next to the main station and has nice food. Ate Mochi yesterday, very tasty.

Well i've been a member since 2009 & my experience has not been as smooth as yours... i'll leave it at that.

I think the only time I ever got banned was years ago in the Naruto forum. I think I was ripping on Sasuke or Itachi fans too hard. I dunno. I do get drunk and high, and then post in the middle of the night though. Don't remember.
