Because Kaido is not human? The word man comes from mankind, human. Basically a term for our species. Yes, the words have changed over the years, but it's still for human species.
Not quite accurate. Kaido, Jimbei and Hody have been referred to as Man. Man is not used solely for Humans in One Piece.

  • Kaido referred to as a Man.
  • Jinbei referred to as Man.
  • Hody referred to as Man.
There's no reason why Kaido cannot be called world's strongest man.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Therefore i interpret this as narratively implying that earlier when wb was alive he had a sort of worlds strongest title & now that he is dead , kaido has another sort of world's strongest title ( & would be very silly if kaido's title applied to only non humans ) .
a

Okay, so, here's a question.

Just by being born, a Fishman is 10x stronger than a Human at birth.

Arlong elaborated that
:
  • Not only are Fishmen Stronger than Humans from birth.
  • They're better superior swimmers because of this strength, fins and anatomy.
  • They're able to fight both on land and on water effortlessly unlike Humans that can only breathe on land.
  • What a Fishman can do from birth, a Human would generally have to train to be capable of the same.

If only Fishmen and Humans existed, which would be the superior species?
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

If I asked you, fastest species on land, what will the answer be? Cheetah. It can never be Human. Fastest species on land can never be Humans unless the Human race evolves.

So, why is it silly that a title referring to an attribute cannot be given to a Human? Is it silly that Humans can never be known as the fastest creature? No, it's just fact, biology, that's how we're made, to not be as fast as other creatures.

Humans are generally inferior to Fishmen strengthwise. Inferior in ability to survive in different habitats, not just strength.

So, if asked, since there are only 2 species/creature types, why would it be silly that it's a fact that Human's strength is inferior to Fishmen biologically?

Actually, Fish-men have suffered around the world because of how much large Humans are in numbers

This should prove that Humans have more adaptability than Fish-men

While the series doesn't expand on this, I presume large populations of Fish-men can only be sustained on extremely wet climates, and would never bloom on a desert for example

Oni , giants , fishmen etc they are all superior races to humans . But we are not talking about what natural born advantage that you have instead how strong are you as an individual. eg. Luffy , shanks , admirals they are all far stronger than the strongest fishman & giants shown so far despite an average giant or fishman being much stronger than an average human as you just said.

That is why i see kaido as someone in competition with the strongest ppl of any race in the verse to get that title.

Just imagine if we consider only non humans . Then Kaido is competing only against jinbei , john giant , neko/inu , dwarves , king & the likes. Kaido being a yonko is anyways much stronger than all of them . No need for any kind of world's strongest title of any sort to prove that he is stongest amongst non humans.

That's not how it works,

Physically, Fishmen are superior to Humans, that's simply a fact.

Dinosaurs are superior to Humans physically.

We're talking about physical qualities.

Actually, that's what we're talking about, lol.

That's what it means when you're speaking about creatures.

But we are not talking about what natural born advantage that you have instead how strong are you as an individual. eg. Luffy , shanks , admirals they are all far stronger than the strongest fishman & giants shown so far despite an average giant or fishman being much stronger than an average human as you just said.
Wrong, and this is why.

When you say fastest creature on land? It's not any specific cheetah, it's just a general fact.

If I asked you what creature you are? You can't answer with anything else other than I am Human because the term creature refers to species.

If I asked you who you are? You can say your name is Bobby, Masters Degree in Law, 3x National Boxing Champion, Author, 30 years old, etc.

If I asked what creature you are.... You cannot tell me your name, job, achievements... creature is about species, it's not a term that distinguishes individuals.

8 Billion People is Still 1 type of Creature.

If I said Strongest Man... the word man refers to the individual, to the person. Who is that man? That man is John, he's won 4 dance competitions, he hosts a lot of charity events, etc.

Who is that creature? He holds events... that wouldn't make sense. Creature/Animal/Species are terms that refer to the what Animal someone belongs to based on anatomy.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

Fastest Creature on Land. What creatures are on Land? Humans, Tigers, Lions, Dogs, Cheetahs, Elephants, Gazelles, Ostriches... So, which is the fastest on land? Cheetah.

So factually, Humans cannot be considered the fastest creature just like they can't be considered the strongest creature.

It's not even excluded Humans or Non-Humans, it's simply saying the hierarchy or rank puts Humans below.

Creature never refers to an individual, it simply refers to anatomy, so no, it's not referring to Kaido, Jimbei, it's simply referring to a biological make-up.

Change the question to a term that refers to the individual - Who is the strongest person? Then it has nothing to do with race, it is to do with the individual, the person - strongest person could be Shanks, Whitebeard, Kaido, Jimbei.. has nothing to do with race when you ask the individual.

To use the word Creature as if it refers to a Person is like saying an NBA Team (L.A Lakers) is Lebron James. Lebron is not a Team, so you can't call him a Team. The grammar is incorrect because Team isn't a person, it's a group, it's the jersey, the flag, the organisation.

It's pretty much like not knowing the difference between Best Basket Ball Team and Best Basket Ball Player? Best Team, L.A Lakers hypothetically, best NBA Player - Lebron James.

Team/Creature cannot be used to identify individuals, it's a term that points out qualities that makes anyone part of a group.

If I say Who is the Strongest Person/Man/Pirate in One Piece? It doesn't matter what race you are, everyone is included regarded of species. Kaido could be called strongest, Whitebeard could be strongest if it were said he was, Jimbei could be said.

Person/Man - terms that transcend a group and refers to the individual.

Creature is not such a word.

Wsc means kaido is the strongest living thing ( stronger than all kinds of individuals from all kinds of species/ creatures).

If the purpose of wsc was that onis are the strongest race & kaido got wsc coz of being oni & not the strongest living thing then yamato would also have had the wsc title.

yamato does not have wsc . Kaido has wsc.
implies wsc is about the individual & not the race oni.

No one knows Yamato and Kaido's race is not known other than his skin is impenetrable because of his race.

yamato does not have wsc . Kaido has wsc.
Wano is a closed nation. No one knows Yamato.

Nope.

@Hannibal Psyche so Jinbe is also the World's strongest creature too, right?
Jinbei is the strongest Fishman (known so far), so according to you, he is the strongest creature.

Err... You do know Strongest Creature can only be 1, not 2 or 3.

Fastest animal on Land... It's not Cheetah and Gazelle, it's just Cheetah.

Didn't say the top 2 strongest, it said strongest creature (not plural).

Strongest Creature is Ogre (Kaido's race).

If you understand my logic, you couldn't claim Jimbei as the strongest creature. Creature is not a term for individuals, but a term for race species.

Strongest Creature on Land is not Bill the Elephant, it's just Elephants because of their size, muscles mass, bone density, weight, etc. It's just a general fact.

If there was a hierarchy for the strongest creatures in One Piece in terms of durability which is what's highlighted:
  1. Ogres
  2. Ancient Giants perhaps
  3. Maybe Giants next
  4. Minks
  5. Fishmen
  6. Humans would be at the bottom of the list.
It's a question on race/species, not individual.

20,000 beast pirates (most of whom are outsiders & are not citizens of wano if at all any ) none of them have called yamato wsc. King queen jack they are all outsiders.
Yamato is known to these 20,000 outsiders & still no wsc.

Even the Manga debunks this idea,

Law said: Kaido's known as the strongest creature.

What did Nami say? So, he's not Human?

Why is her first response about race? because creature has nothing to do with individuals, it's about biological anatomy.

Is she saying Humans cannot be the strongest? Is she saying Whitebeard, Shanks or Big Mom cannot be the strongest? No, the term creature is not about individual, it's about race/species.

The term man/pirate/person are terms that can compare individuals without association to a group

When someone says Whitebeard is the strongest pirate, no one says.. oh, he's not Human? Pirate is a term that refers to an individual or describes a person.

Like I said before and you can only deny this if you're not being truthful:
If I ask you what creature you are? You can only tell me Human, that's the only response that can be given.
You cannot be asked what creature you are, and then tell me your name, your hobbies, your dislikes.

If I asked WHO you are? You can tell me your name, and that you're the fastest man on the planet even if aliens exist as you won the intergalactic 100m race in 0.5 seconds. you can tell me your occupation.

Can't be asked what creature you are, and then tell me you're a doctor.

Can be asked who you are? And then you can claim any occupation, height, achievements, age, etc.

Creature doesn't describe the individuals, it describes race/species based on anatomy.

Wow... so you are saying that yamato would have had the wsc title if wano was not a closed country.
Nope.

Like I said which you don't seem to understand... Creature doesn't refer to the Individual, it refers to the Race.

Yamato being an Ogre would mean based on her race, she's part of a species that is the strongest.

20,000 beast pirates (most of whom are outsiders & are not citizens of wano if at all any ) none of them have called yamato wsc. King queen jack they are all outsiders.
20,000 beast pirates, and none of them have called Yamato alive. Doesn't mean she's not alive.

20,000 Beast Pirates have not mentioned she's an Ogre, doesn't mean she's not an Ogre.

Doesn't matter if she's not been called an Ogre. We only just knew what race Kaido belonged to a few chapters ago.

Yamato is known to these 20,000 outsiders & still no wsc.
Not how it works bud.

Cheetah doesn't stop being the fastest creature on land just because we don't say it every day.

Ogres don't stop being the most durable.

It's simply a general fact.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Wrong.

Yamato is an Ogre, Ogre is the most durable.

Fishmen are superior to Humans, it has nothing to do with individual.

I can describe what a Dinosaur is, if they existed, they'd still be the most powerful creatures on the planet. It's not the Dinosaur called Dave, Dinosaur simply refers to anatomy just like Ogre, Human, and Lion are simply describing anatomical and biological features.
--- Double Post Merged, ---

@Windfall Island

I can tell you for a fact...

If anyone was asked what creature they were? And they didn't say Human, then they have something wrong with them.

That's not an insult to anyone, that's a fact.

A creature cannot change what it is.

It's like being asked age, and responding with green hair, then that person either doesn't understand language or have some brain defect.

If I ask you.. what Creature are you? How do you respond?

Ok I understand what you are saying.

So you consider Oni race the strongest compared to other species. Hence, why Kaido has that title. Cool.

As for Killer's quote "We are up against the strongest Pirate". You interpret it as not individual strength but the whole crew, right?

As long as she's related to Kaido and has his genes, it inherently includes her because the title is not regarding Kaido as an individual, but his race.

Like I said and the fact you can't tell me what creature you are proves my point. You know the answer, lol.

That's exactly what I'm saying.
  • He was stabbed - Spears broke.
  • He was put under guillotine - Blade broke.
  • He was hung - Chains broke, he's clearly heavy due to his steel like muscles and bones.
  • He was tried for execution 40 times. all failed.
  • He fell from 10,000 meters and the worst thing that he sustained was a headache... not a cracked skull or brain damage, just a headache.
What does that tell us about this person? Extreme durable.

Why so durable? Training? No, this is not something you train for. This is something you're born with. Thus, why he's referred to the strongest creature meaning whatever race he comes from makes him extremely durable.

Yamato does not have wsc in the manga. So wsc is not about species but about individual coz kaido has wsc but not yamato.

It's simply common sense.

Doesn't mean she's not from the Ogre Race.

This is why your claim here is dumb.

Why's Nami asking about race if it's about the individual?
Dude listen. You can write as long as an answer you want ... what matters is that if you are correct then the manga must agree with you.

Everything that you said impliew yamato must have wsc but she doesnt therefore wsc is about kaido.
