Well based on how it went in the original text I can say that MS's version is accurate. Kaido tells Joker to finish up the preparations for the final war, not to get prepared to fight him, which IMO shows that he doesn't know that Joker has been defeated and arrested.

Thanks, if I can ask for one more whenever you're free to do so. The bottom right corner of that page says something about fighting Kaidou and him being the strongest? That part has got me the most confused, lol.

Thank you very-much! Seem to be the case, I found it odd his name is Kaidou meaning beast/creature and his epithet repeats his name, perhaps this is Oda playing on words? Beast Kaidou = Beast Beast? Beast-beast fruit perhaps? Really looking forward to more chapters and the anime.

You know what? I just began researching the OP timeline, and I discovered something interesting. A lot of the major tragedies that transpired in the series occurred ten years ago:

Arlong taking over Nami's village and murdering her stepmother
Doflamingo taking over Dressrosa
Franky's mentor Tom being taken away on the Puffing Tom
Hody Jones assassinated Otohime and Vander Decken began stalking Shirahoshi

Surprising, huh?

All the translations that I've read have differed quite a bit which is confusing, so it's difficult to choose which is the most accurate as they all lack consistency:
This just says he's the strongest creature more or less I guess.

This implies not fighting Kaidou in a 1 on 1.

Why would you want to fight the strongest? Except these people saying it are suicidal too.

Are there any official translations around? The meanings are so vague even among the most credible translations since Chapter 793 and upwards.

They say:

This pirate is said to be the strongest creature alive.

It appears that the Yonko and Shichibukai came to existence around 10 years prior to beginning of the series. I guess it's something that would have revolved around the world. And this is very specific to Arlong and Jones actions because of Jinbe.

Isn't this also around this time the Shichibukai system came into existence? If I recall correctly, it was around this time Crocodile became a Shichibukai and first one at that I think.

It must have been at this period the Yonko came into existence so Shichibukai were important. This would explain why Chinjao and the great pirates always say the seas back then were more dangerous because there were many powerful pirates thus, a power balance. Then the likes of Shanks, Whitebeard, Big Mom and Kaidou were likely more powerful than average and ended up becoming rulers.

Rather than a Yonko system in the time of Roger's era, perhaps they were more of alliances. It would make sense why Shiki tried to become allies with Roger if this was how the seas worked then.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that from?

I'd like to see more animal zoan users, like Chopper or Pierre. Pierre especially was such a kick in the balls by Oda; I was really hoping for a non-comical pegasus but nevermind . Looking forward to seeing more devil fruit users and the exploration of the zoan sub-categories in general.

Same thing that'd happen if they did in full zoan mode or their normal form; they'd just die and the original fruit would regrow somewhere else. As far as we know, when users die, they die. Nothing special happens whether they are logia, or zoan users.

Kakku went back to his human form when Zoro beat him, but he was still able to talk (from what I remember).
Lucci, however, remained in his form after getting knocked out by Luffy, and let's take into account that Luffy put him in a freaking coma.

Sooo, if the trauma is severe enough right away, I'd say yes, they would die in that form. Because Lucci didn't die, I reckon he went back to his human form as soon as he regained consciousness.

Buuut... I don't know what would happen, if they would remain in said form even after death (even after the DF ability "flying away") or if the body would return to normal, even after dead. I don't think it would return to normal, though; if they are dead, they are dead, it's not like they could still use their abilities.

But he never said/gave any indication of that, and the big difference is that Luffy was goaded by Doflamingo, otherwise he would have never known about the Mera Mera, it was [supposed to be] a trap from the start. If Law were to be told/informed or something, maybe... Otherwise it would be kind of a pointless journey...

I think we have plenty of evidence pointing to the fact that, if a DF user dies, their powers will stop working, even if it's in effect. I assume that will expand to Zoan users as well. Otherwise, that would imply that a user would still have their ability postmortem and, from what we've seen, that can't be the case as the fruit gets reborn soon after the death and the same Devil Fruit power can't exist in two people at the same time.

But, seeing as they're dead, it wouldn't matter, because they couldn't use ability anyways, and their body would eventually just... I don't know, stop existing, fade away?
But I can see how this would pose a problem; seeing as the zoan bodies/abilities stem from their DF, it makes sense that they would turn back to their human form after dying.

I mean, they would die in that form, and only after death would the body return to normal, and the DF would move to somewhere else.
Then again, a dead body going through that kind of morphism in/after death would be just strange, so I don't see what would be the problem in them remaining in that form even in death.

They're just a shell, it's not like someone could just come, poke them and retrieve some of their abilities or something.
