One correction, in a recent SBS the author stated Crocodile became a Shichibukai around 20 years ago. That's odd, since the rest of the Shichibukai have consistently been said to have joined the Shichibukai about a decade ago.
Then either there were six other Warlords alongside Crocodile ten years before the others, or Crocodile was the only one till the others joined.
Crocodile joined 16 years ago, Hancock 13-14 years ago, Jinbe 11 years ago. 12 years ago, Kuma was still with Dragon for example.

Bellamy = bel ami, and given the meaning (in French) and the connotation it has with the book of the same name, I don't think it's coincidental at all(and, for that reason alone, I don't think that this is new :/...).

If we consider that God's enemy is the Devil like in the Bible, then maybe D stands for Devil. But I don't know if in Japan the Devil is specifically referred to as God's natural enemy. In Shinto there isn't really a figure like the Devil, but in Buddhism Mara can be said to be close to the definition of the Devil.Hmm, was trying to see if that'd draw any connections to what the D's real name could be. Also, I find something pretty interesting; Law's D initial is his hidden name while Water is his taboo name, I wonder if all D's hold taboo names too and they're not aware of it? Would be great to get a backstory on Law's parents.
No D is the taboo/hidden name, or so I understood. Given the reaction of Rocinante, it's the D that should be hidden.
