You don't mean to say that "every" game is the same right? Because that would be a nonsensical statement.

Yeah too many anime games feel too samey, especially when they get a yearly releases and are made by a single studio. We sadly often end up with a musou clone of the week or another character upgraded Beat 'em Up. Maybe it's a fatigue due to years of Naruto and now One Piece games. NamocBandai's mobile games all look "the same", yet at least their fighting mechanics differ to some degree.

I may take the dive and buy myself a copy of One Piece - Pirate Warriors 3 once it's on sale due to it's enormousness.

I used to purchase yearly anime games, but as it stood, but I found the changes were never enough to warrant the purchase. PW3 doesn't even go to the end of the arc, so, in my opinion, there is no need to purchase it as I know it's "incomplete" so the speak. If more anime/manga based games would actually allow the current arc to finish before releasing the game, I'd be more inclined to buy it, but they don't, and, instead, release a game that has barely any changes from the first release.

With Burning Blood, I was happy as it was something pretty different for One Piece and it went through the end of the current arc, but with the apparent focus on DF users, I'm not sure if I want to purchase it. That cuts out a good portion of the characters that I like in One Piece.

The addidition of Dressrosa was mostly due to the popularity of Doflamingo and the avaibility of the "colliseum" tournament option, not to play much of the arc itself IIRC.

If anything the exclusion of non-DF characters is far worse than not letting an arc finish, especially with a game like PW3, which has much content and alternative stuff to boot.

Hi everyone. Due to the weird nature of the topic, I do hope that by posting this discussion I'm not breaking any rule, and if I did so I apologize to you all.

A couple of months ago, I found this video on yt (POTENTIAL SPOILERS WARNING)

According to this guy, back in April 2009 an user from 2ch published a list of "future events" regarding One Piece, more specifically:

- The Straw Hats will be separated
- Whitebeard and Ace will die
- The SH will fight Doflamingo
- One of the Admirals will become the new Fleet Admiral, and another one will quite the Marines.
- Luffy will reunite with one of his brothers.
- Another Yonko will die
- Blackbeard will declare war on the Marines, and win
- Luffy will have a large group of pirates
- Blackbeard will be Pirate King, but...

As you can see, many of the predictions were actually true, but personally I didn't take in great considerations as I thought it all to be a hoax of some sort.

This changed somewhat after I read a reply coming from a youtube user on the video I linked earlier, who claimed to know the complete list of predictions coming from the original 2ch post; among all the speculation there was one foreshadowing I actually find interesting, which is:

Holy actual crap, how did you notice this lol? It completely slipped by me. It's quite a nice detail... Obviously that is one of the more tragic days of his life but him naming his attacks after it clearly shows how twisted he is... With this in mind I am surprised there isn't a hammer technique... Or maybe there is and I can't remember it either...

The original individual who pointed this out is from Japan if memory serves me correctly and was originally uploaded as a Japanese Edited Manga, think he uploaded it via twitter or tumblr. A might impressive spotting, must have paid really good attention to detail, lol.

In Mangastream's translation, Doflamigo referred to Gol D. Roger as 'Gol D. Roger'.

In Powermanga's translation, he referred to Gol D. Roger as 'Gold Roger'.

This is what the raw has

ゴールド・ロジャー which is "Gold Roger".

If it was Gol D. Roger, it would say ゴール・D・ロジャー

Gold Roger makes sense since Roger himself said the WG has been calling him that (so that they hide the D stuff), probably only old people or those who met and befriended Roger know about his real name

It is also a good way to hide himself from his enemies, particularly to protect his loved ones (wife and later child).

But Portgas D. Rouge never dropped her name... I went back and re-read the chapter where Sengoku reveals Ace's father, because I was pretty sure he had said "Gol D. Roger", but that wasn't the case, yet he did accurately say his mother's name.

Maybe they just stopped paying that much importance to the Ds at the time.

No, he was actually bothered by that and complained about the WG not calling him Gol.D.Roger
It's just a scheme from the WG to hide the D, they really seem sensitive whenever a D makes a lot of ruckus

To further support this....

Even the Gorosei commented on the D. initial gaining too much publicity, it's something that they try to hide as much as it can be. Garp was the Marine hero for 20 years and even when Luffy was known as "Monkey D. Luffy" in his bounty shortly after Cocoyashi (aka Arlong park arc), people still never knew that Garp was related to Luffy until after Water 7 where he spilled... and the D. initial is known or classed as a hidden name as Law stated.

I just figured out Jinbe "over 400 million" bounty precisely.

When Brook joined, his 33 million bounty rounded the crew bounty to exact 700 million and 50 beri. And Strawhat total bounty now is 1.57 billion and 100 beri. So Jinbe bounty is 430 million.
