Grand Announcement to all you MH-Pirates!!!
The Mangahelpers Community Event : "Tenkaichi Kurosuoba" is soon starting.
It's a Tournament Event where Characters from all sorts of series(Game,Manga,Manwha etc.) fight it out for the Crown of the Strongest Fighter in the entire Multi-Crossover-verse.
Various Members,including myself, nominated all kinds of characters for this Grand Battle. I happened to nominate this guy here:
Some of you may hate him, others may worship him, but one thing all of you here in the One Piece Section should have in common is your love for the Manga. And Zoro is a part of said Manga, and in this great Battle he's going to need all of the OP Fans we have here on Mangahelpers to win.
The Battles go down in 1vs1 Battle Threads, they're probably going to have a phase last for a few days and then have them conclude. During said Battle Phases you can contribute to the Discussion of wether Zoro can beat "Character X" and/or leave a Vote for him.
Zoro can only advance into the next Round/s if his votes are higher than those of his competition. And because of this reason i'm going to need all of you Guys help!
I alone won't be able to win this thing, no matter what kind of arguments i craft or how long i fight my adversaries. What carries Zoro into the finals is not my Campaigning, it's his Fans Votes, so please. All of you. Lend me and Zoro your strength...and all of your votes. Lets have him become the Best Swordsman in the Multiverse everyone!
Be sure to check out the Tenkaichi Kurosuoba Event, the Battles will be starting in 1-2 Days so be ready!

ODA always intended Zoro to be stronger than Luffy.
Oda said Roger achieved wealth, fame and power. Nami will achieve wealth, Luffy will achieve fame and the grandmaster will achieve power.

Not stronger just a really good match up for him. Zoro would probably give Luffy his toughest fight. Comparable to Katakuri & Kaido...Which Zoro shows he definitely can give Luffy hell.

Seems the World Government were the ones who spread rumours that Roger was the Pirate King and acquired wealth, fame and power to encourage pirates to go after Roger and kill him before he revealed the truth.
Ironically, calling Roger the Pirate King and naming his Treasure One Piece only ended up spurring the Age of Piracy. Basically, Roger outsmarted them and used their own weapon against them.
By handing himself over to the Navy, they essentially created a platform with the greatest audience for him to tell the world to go find the One Piece. The WG seemingly didn't expect any of this.
Roger wasn't the one to invent the name One Piece or the term Pirate King. Government Propaganda coming back to bite them by the looks of it.
