Will all giants welcome him? It looks like it right now, but we don't know what to expect from the ones who aren't his friends already, such as Loki. At least they have no reason not to like him right now though. Elbaf is full of honour-bound warriors and Luffy's been fairly honourable for the whole story. At the same time though, you never know what misunderstandings could crop up.So if Nika is the deity of Elbaf, does that mean Luffy could end up viewing Elbaf as another home since he’s Nika now?

Depending what occurs on the island, I'm hoping we'll get substantial details about Nika, and Robin will get some quality time with Saul. I would really love if by somehow Law and Bepo end up with Saul too at some point (but not with the SHes yet). My theory on Nika for a while now has been that something the WG doesn't want to happen at any cost will happen when enough people believe in Luffy being Nika. (For the record, I think the giants on the ship right now don't quite fully believe yet and they probably aren't great enough in number to make a difference yet even if they do.)
I also wonder if depending what happens with Emet, we might learn something about Voice of All Things (including if it's a special form of observation haki or its own thing) too.
....No. That'd be silly af.Do you guys think Oda made Luffy look too weak as Emperor because he didn't have him fight all five Elders at the same time?
No. The Emperors are at the top of the food chain, so to speak, but they have never been the only one's up there.Do you guys think Oda made Luffy look too weak as Emperor because he didn't have him fight all five Elders at the same time?
There’s the idea that Luffy fighting all five Elders at the same time should have been easy since Luffy is now Emperor who fisted down what was said to be “the strongest creature” with a godly power. So it’s interesting to see how Oda responds to this by having Luffy run away while also trying not to make him look bad as Emperor.No. The Emperors are at the top of the food chain, so to speak, but they have never been the only one's up there.
I think there are levels to the world that just hadn't been explored yet. Goes back to Mihawk telling Zoro that he's a small frog in a well and that he still needs to see the world. In the post TS part of the story the Yonko became such focal points that readers views became too narrowly focused on the world being just the NW where the emperors rule. Thinking Luffy being Yonko, especially one that defeated Kaido known as "strongest creature", gave people the impression that he'd reached the top. But that's not true, he reached the top tier of the pirating world of today (the well) but not the top of the world (the actual world). There’s the idea that Luffy fighting all five Elders at the same time should have been easy since Luffy is now Emperor who fisted down what was said to be “the strongest creature” with a godly power. Well again, Luffy did fist down the strongest creature after all.Luffy is not there to fight
Besides, how strong is each of them individually? If they are at least on Kizaru's level, then nobody can fight the five Gorosei at once

Context. Kaido was dubbed the "World's Strongest Creature", but that's just a title. Does it have some truth to it? Perhaps. But when you reach a certain point of strength in this series, titles no longer really matter when going up against a "peer" of the same level.Well again, Luffy did fist down the strongest creature after all.
It doesn’t, because at the end of the day it shows Luffy isn’t that powerful after all given how Oda didn’t have Luffy defeat all the Elders.Context. Big Mom was shown on screen fighting toe to toe against him and his words imply that she's capable of taking him out. Shanks was on his top 5 list alongside Oden, WB, Roger, and Rocks. He was in a stalemate with those two (and WB) for years and they were his direct competition. Not to mention Mihawk, Rayleigh, Blackbeard, and whomever else is out there that could be capable of the same (Kaido could also beat them as well potentially, but the point is, there are all around the same level).
Luffy "fisted" him down, but all that means is that Luffy is on the level of those listed above. He became a peer to Kaido and that "title" no longer held any weight for Luffy.
Also, just because Luffy defeated one man/creature, how does that suddenly translate to him taking out 5 immortals?
Or it shows that some people's expectations were unreasonable and not in line with the story. Luffy is plenty powerful and he's well within the level expected of an Emperor at this point given his feats. The Elders themselves are also quite powerful and their regeneration, the main issue Luffy is having with them, is particularly troublesome. Him not defeating all the Elders at the same time does not take away from his strength or show that he "isn't all that powerful". It's quite unlikely no one, past or present, could take down all Five Elders at the same time.It doesn’t, because at the end of the day it shows Luffy isn’t that powerful after all given how Oda didn’t have Luffy defeat all the Elders.
Yes, this is analogous to the issue with fighting Seraphim with their flames on. We just don't know the trick to get around their invulnerability yet. The outcome is unlikely to be significantly different with other yonkou, let alone anyone else, unless they know how to negate the invulnerability.Or it shows that some people's expectations were unreasonable and not in line with the story. I would highly doubt that. Allied fleet members should be doing that. (And I hope that King Neptune went ahead and put up the SH pirates flag like he was talking about as they were leaving, though it'd be strange we didn't see an in-person agreement on it. Hopefully Luffy threatening Big Mom and her defeat in Wano was sufficient.)I wonder if Jinbe would quit the Straw Hats to help protect Fish-Man Island in the event Blackbeard attacks it for Poseidon.
After all, Jinbe is willing to be Fish-Man Island's protector, and would also answer to the complaint of the crew being too big.

Glad that you’re willing to believe the idea of a dozen crewmates too.I would highly doubt that. Allied fleet members should be doing that. For one, it's a greater gesture toward fishman-human relations to have Jinbe on his ship and friendly humans at FI, but more importantly, Luffy wants at least 10 crew members other than himself. Are you trying to make room for somebody else? I don't see why there can't be a dozen crew members honestly.
I just want to make the quick distinction that the Gorosei aren't invulnerable like the Lunarian flames make the Seraphim. They just have wicked regeneration, which is an entirely different problemYes, this is analogous to the issue with fighting Seraphim with their flames on. Whatever Oda writes is what's going to happen, whether we all start bargaining with each other or not, lol. Speaking for myself at least, I'm always looking at possibilities based on what we know at a given point in time.Glad that you’re willing to believe the idea of a dozen crewmates too.
It’s just that I’ve been seeing constant discussion going on about how Tama, Carrot, and Yamato will never join the Straw Hats and be with the Grand Fleet at best instead. It’s because of the complaint of the crew getting too big and Oda not doing a good job dividing attention between them.
it just got me wondering if all those people would be content with Jinbe quitting to further help Fish-Man Island, since Yamato is helping Wano and Carrot is helping Zou, and how others seem to be approving of that.
True! I was hoping that was obvious, but maybe not, so fair point.I just want to make the quick distinction that the Gorosei aren't invulnerable like the Lunarian flames make the Seraphim. They just have wicked regeneration, which is an entirely different problem
