I've kind of been removed from OP recently. Been losing my passion for it due to some real world stuff I'm dealing with right now but I check i at least once a day and yesterday and today I've seen alot of infighting about how Toei depicted Sanji in the last episode of the anime. Seem like this has been a trend. I'm not an anime fans and haven't been for years, but this has seem to be the trend with Sanji since the post time skip.
Are there any anime watchers that have an opinion on this? I don't have specifics and I know the anime is not technically "canon" but you'd think a company would be committed to not breaking away from Oda's intentions.
That being said, is anyone excited for the Wit studio anime retelling? My intention is to fully watch that from episode 1

Its start Sanji not appear in scene where he suppose to appear even thought it just small image of him, then they cry Sanji "struggle" with Sshark n need Nami help, n cry because Toei put extra Shark give damage to Sanji, in fact none of SH can defeat seraphim, they need put seraphim to buble seastone, another thing they hated Sanjibact stupid around women, even though Sanji always act stupid around women,,
With the return of the anime I thought they'd be doing more than a chapter an episode since they no longer have to be weekly. It's still too early to say but I'd confident that the animation quality itself will improve due to the reduced number of total episodes but now two weeks in its clear they are still adapting a chapter per episode which to me is one of the core issues that impacts the pacing. If they are going to be seasonal I don't know why they wouldn't at least do two chapters an episode so they could have a solid pace with higher quality animation.
At this point I think the best hope for the anime is going to be the new one that starts from scratch at the beginning. By being so behind chapter wise they definitely should have the more standard modern anime quality of several chapters an episode.
Ah gotcha, I thought they were planning on doing the rest of Egghead and then doing another update of an old arc like they had just done. Would be good if they reanimated Dressrosa arc similar to FI to cut out all of the filler and update the animation. But definitely get why they are still the same if they haven't confirmed it being more seasonal. Guess the 6 month hiatus was more on budgeting correctly so the fights in Egghead and quality in general continue being better.

If they do any other arcs I hope they don't butcher it as badly as they did FI. They basically made a sparknotes version of the arc instead of properly editing it down.

So I got it now, each of the monster Trio relates to one of the Rocks Yonko. And each of them have had a monster trio relevant arc.
Whitebeard - Luffy saving of Ace. He then mentions Roger related stuff and the goal of Luffy. We got a public reveal of Luffy's family. A denial of Blackbeard regarding Luffy goal.
Big Mom - The Germa centered arc, Germa's conquest and their ancestors, Big mom sought the technology of Germa to seek Luffy's goal. We got a reveal of Sanji's family.
Kaido - The Wano ruler, sought Luffy's goal. Sought Yamato to protect Wano as the Shogun. We got a reveal that Zoro is of Wano and nobility, as well as a descendant of Ryuma who protect Wano.
Three more aspects.
Whitebeard, wanted a family. Luffy family was Ace and Sabo. Whitebeard is sons, Luffy is brothers.
The mix of offense and defense. The Oden and Yamato bond.
Kaido - Was basically a mercenary. Zoro a bounty hunter. Presumed brute fighter. Dragon Twisters.
Big Mom - Abandoned by her parents. Sanji basically discard by his father. Called iron skin basically. Multi personalities.
Even though technically in the past I did compare Sanji to being Whitebeard. But that was in Luffy pirate king, Zoro world's strongest swordsman, Sanji end up the world's strongest martial artist similar to whitebeard not being pirate king but called world's strongest man.

As feel good as this all is I wouldn't take back how Marineford happened. Ace's death is probably one of the best emotional moments in OP and a huge character growth moment for Luffy. Besides we didn't even know about Sabo existing until the flashbacks post Marineford so we'd have all been like who the eff is this if it went this way

Makes me respectfully wonder why you are still trying to find a common ground there? IMO it‘s simple, Brook lived his life once already, of course he did not bother telling all the details, as he wants to look forward instead of dwelling in the past. That‘s how I see it. I mean no use dwelling in the long lost past, is there? But now one dear person believed to be lost long ago just reappeared right in front of his eyes even though he doesn’t have any eyes…yohohoho.

Yep, if someone goes so far to reject Point A, then it’s reasonable to suggest why we could steer towards Point B, since no matter what, Oda had those panels inserted for a reason, so we can speculate on the meantime as to why.
No one is really talking about how the WG is so obsessed with information.
The library in Elbaph is being ordered to be destroyed.
They tried to do this in Ohara too.
As I've said countless times, information, knowledge is what the WG fear more than anything.
That should tell us everything we need to understand about the series.
From VP's broadcast inciting so much fear and panic from the WG, to this obsession with burning books that are apparently just useless books.
I know Kuma is a nice guy and all but really wish he had captured King Bekori and made him absorb the pain/suffering of the civilians he'd harmed. It would have been perfect poetic justice that Bekori deserved and helped the civilians too. Probably a bit dark for OP but doesn't stop me from wishing.
Hmmm, i am wondering if buggy will awaken his devil fruit. Buggy has basically failed upward since the great war however you'd think his luck would carry him only so far. Meanwhile as weak as buggy is... His devil fruit is in reality exceptional and in the hands of someone competent it would be an incredible force. If only because cutting weapons are so common in the story. Let alone the sheer versatility of it.
Now, one thing i do want to stress is that strength probably is not a requirement to attain awakening. Kaido makes the point that awakening is attained when your mind catches up to your body's powers. So while Buggy isn't by any means powerful he absolutely uses his fruit by all appearances every hour of every day for the last several decades. So his mind catching up to his body isn't a stretch.
Now, why i think this could happen is the possible effects of his awakening. I see two options... Buggy is a split man and there are imo two possible effects this could have... One is that buggy is able to turn people in his range into splitmen. Which would be incredibly broken if he could apply to his crew. After all, buggy left the great war with probably one of the stronger militias around, with only the yonko being ahead. The other possibility although less interesting would be the capacity to split and control his surroundings. Which would be incredibly powerful in a war situation as we are about to get.
Add to that, this would be something that allows buggy to continue his spectacular upward failing.
Bringing up that Loki has snake like eyes reminds me that the legend or Ragnarök is when Jörmungandr releases his tail. Jörmungangr is supposed to be related to Loki so Oda could take this a couple of ways:
Loki could have a snake fruit and turn into it; or the more heavy hitting one that's been mentioned in the past, is it's actually the redline (and that would definitely make sense.
What's interesting is Ragnarök itself, seems to have already happened to the world: it will entail a catastrophic series of natural disasters, including the burning of the world, and culminate in the submersion of the world underwater. But it's also the downfall of the gods (aka Imu and the CD).
