Welp, I'm past Fishman Island and in the beggining of Punk Hazard. So yeeeaaah, blood sharing between humans and fishmans/merfolks was executed in really stupid way. It was soo annoying that it was focused mostly around Sanji and fact that he got soo used to being around okamas that all pretty ladies make him bleed to death. But enough about that because it will turn into rant. Honestly both Fisher Tiger and Otohime had really great backstory. He was just adventurer who wanted to see the world but got terribly hurt by "humans" during his enslavement. She was kind and noble queen who believed that fishmans/merfolks can live among humans on the surface. Fact that their ideas were clashing despit Fisher Tiger actually knew that Otohimes way is correct made it even better. I also forgot that Otohime was actually pretty powerful for such delicate person. Her observation haki mayby wasn't on some top tier level but way too many people can't do even this. And another annoying thing: Vander Deken. I hate him for harassing Shirahoshi with his love letters and "gifts" for 10 years, ever since she was berely 6. He's truly disgusting for "courting" little girl. Hmm, actually when I think about Shirahoshi, her first interactions with Luffy and Loki it makes me wonder. Since Shirahoshi claimed that before Luffy noone ever yelled at her or said anything mean I'm sure that if she actually IS Lokis friend Mosa their relation had to start after events of Fishman Island. You know, because back then she was way too timid and we know how Loki is. She would talk with him once, he would scream at her over something stupid and not only she would never talk to him again but also would cry for days in terror. So if they really know each other it have to be actually quite recent but for Loki who spended 6 years being chained in Underworld it could feel like ages. Not because time in Elbaf flow diffrently but because time always drag when you have nothing to do. Anyway, Caribou: he's a trash. Literally human dumpster fire and the worst thing is that for Strawhats he was soo forgetable that he actually COULD make a lot of damage. And now that he gave Blackbeard info about Poseidon and fact that Shirahoshi is Poseidon things may go really badly. And all of that because he's forgetable enough to slip away under everyone noses with biggest info possible. Honestly Morgans would have great use of him. Also it was funny that Luffy punched him hard enough that he lost his whole loot upon "landing". And Big Mom, her first real introduction was actually terrifying. Espesially after Lola described her as kind, benevolent person. It literally made her look like she's a cannibal BEFORE we even learned that she ACTUALLY IS one, even though it wasn't on purpose. Fact that she dosen't feel ANY remorse after eating food she made sentient and even feed THEM sweets will never stop amazing me. She's quite literally a she-demon.
Oh, I forgot about Hody and his crew. It's amazing how far he was ready to go over the grudge that never actually belonged to him because like he himself admited humans never did anything to him. He was just horrible fanatic waaaay worse than Arlong because at least Arlong would never rise his hand on fellow fishman but Hody was ready to commit nation wide genocide to make sure noone will follow Otohimes ideals. It's also quite wild that he and his crew were soo obsesed that with light hand they wasted their entier youth and more. Also yeeeaaah, good thing he was stoped. King who is drug addict tyrant would be bigger dishonor for Fishman Island than the one who just want to live in peace on surface. Not to mention that he could not live long enough to participate in Revery because he would die right after drugs would stop working. Oh, and since Hody never left Fishman Island he don't actually know a shit about the world. Their plan was doomed from the very beggining because on surface there's actually A LOT of humans much more powerful than them. But how would they know that if all their knowledge about surface comes from rumors and nonsense Arlong was spiling around.
