Ground Rules for the Power Level Discussion Thread

As always, please follow the guidelines set by the Forum Rules that apply across the board.

It's important that discussions from a current chapter are spoiler tagged until 24h have passed from an english release.

• For the sake of constructive discussion, where and when possible please quote/ source any information you provide. Particularly when it comes to conversations carried over from other threads.
• Avoid passive agressive posts, sly remarks or baiting/trolling. You can certainly have fun or disagree without it being at someone's expense.
• Only use anime examples that are canon and as means to provide clarity to pages in the manga. Any other anime material is otherwise non-canon and should only be referenced if it can be proved that the mangaka had approved it.
• We will strive to avoid repetitive discussions and any extensive battle topics will be guided to the Davy Back fight to existing threads or new ones can be made there.

As of now these topics are shelved due to repetitiveness or until the manga can present us with material to further discussions:

1. Shanks v Mihawk
2. Hand to hand fighters > Swordsmen
3. Zoro > Luffy
4. Zoro v Sanji
5. Is Smoker a top 30 character?
6. Mihawk's rank within the story
7. Law having CoC currently.
8. Katakuri > Kaido/Luffy/Etc.

If you wish to continue any of these discussion and remove it from the list, you will need to provide manga material as proof. If there's also anything you think we've covered numerous times, let me know and I'll update the list.

This is the only warning there'll be regarding these ground rules, anything no adhering will be removed. So please just check your posts before posting them.

Well, he is not more capable combatant than Doffy but I think he basically won until the deus ex machina kicked in to save Doffy.
He should be top 5 in Wano among Alliance members. Kidd will probably get a bit better portrayal since Law already had his arc.

I think he will be 2nd/3rd strongest.

It would be weird that Mihawk doesnt want to fight Shanks IF Shanks is still a worthy challenge while wishing for somebody to surpass Shanks...

Mihawk could think that losing one arm makes Shanks weaker, and he doesn't want to try and beat Shanks?

Mihawk most likely follows the same code of honor Zoro does when it comes to swordsman ship. He most likely thinks that there is no honor in fighting a "disabled" opponent, even if said opponent hasn't lost any strength.

They both have red hair, have similar scar on the same part of their eyes/face. Both lost an arm and grew stronger afterwards.

Can't wait to see how much stronger Kidd has gotten. He's definitely not the same guy who was chased out of WCI and lost an arm to one of Shanks' guys.

Kidd will be established as second strongest Supernova (he seems to be the only other member having CoC after Luffy) with Law third strongest.

That makes Shanks even cooler because of his cruelty. Would explain why he's picked on kid Luffy so hard.

Most likely has, assuming that he assumed Luffy would be training as well.

Shanks didn't waste his time on Kidd. According to Kidd, it was one of Shanks' crewmates that took his arm. Hopefully, a commander. I personally would hate it if it turns out to be someone lower than a commander in rank.

It's already confirmed that Law lacks CoC. Only Kidd has it so far among the Supernova bar Luffy.

I don't think there is any official source that discards it.

The Vivre Card databook doesn't contain Spoilers, meaning they can only reveal CoC abilities if they no longer have any relevance for the story (example Sengoku).

What's the threat lv's of the New World Fodder? I've noticed someone mention that the Samurai of Wani are weak & doesnt make sense WG doesnt conquer them..which I disagree with they arent weak. Islands like Amazon lily & Wano & WCI haki is well known there and the fodder lv characters even use it, i.e just to make themselves stronger.

As to WG conquering Wano.

Ryuma kept Wano safe.
Ryuma is mostly likely = to Oden or stronger.
If Oden lived 2oyrs longer just like Kaido he would have gotten stronger. Also Oden had followers such as Ashura & Wano's mafia boss...Not to mention figuratively speaking Oden would also have had the support adult of Cat Viper & Dogstrom.

Point being..Wano overall as a country is not weak. Their fodder isn't weak either. Some Yonkou lv or Higu Commander seema to have always been around to rule or protect.

3 Admirals cannot launch an assault and leave the Marine's open to attack from another balance of power mostly the Yonkou or the shaky relationship of the Warlords..Which is now dissolved, seeing as naturally cant be trusted ex.Croc,Doffy, Kuma

Either way Marines cannot cull Yonkou lv power & backing without leaving itself open.

As to why makes no sense Yonkou's don't team up, destroy Marines & WG....

Temporary truce for a common means..All 5 that ever existed have some type of history or relationship with each other.

WG is corrupted and have an Army of Marines that police the world. Sounds like Xecx was the real deal when he gathered power & challenged the WG

Kid is definitely very very strong. Injuring a sweet commander is no small feat even if its snack. Not to mention he's been wronged and betrayed by Apoo and others, so I reckon he will beat the crap out of him and possibly fight Queen due to cyborg arm sheningans.

I also want to see Gecko Moriah playing a major role in this war and defeat someone of notice cause he can definitely do it, given his past. What do you guys think, will Moriah get redemption in Wano?
