Bought new perfumes today!!! All are blends.

I like them all but I was overwhelmed by the scents. I'll rank them later.

  • Habit Rouge + Myslf.
  • Ombre Nomade + Amouage Interlude.
  • Sheikha + Polo Bleu.
  • Imperial + Diesel Fuel for Life.
  • K D&G + Pure XS.

  • Dior Fahrenheit - one of my all-time favorites. Iconic, but I cant remember which is my fave EDT, Parfum, etc..
Bought this a few weeks ago. I think it was the EDT version. I find it average at best personally and grew bored of it.

Ombre Nomade + Amouage Interlude.
How is this one,? It sounds interesting , I really need Ombre nomade .:zomg

- I have another one from Celine in my wish list but its way too expensive (275 euros :crying )
I got a decant of Amouage Guidance 46, everyone loves it, tbh i dont like it for now, I will retry it later. Im not really into florals. Maybe it needs to sit a little.

-I got Ombre Leather 30ml, recently. When i tried it at Sephora , i loved it, the one i got, 1st time I tried it, it was smelling like a leather jacket lmao, its getting better over time, I guess, due to maceration, but I do wear it with some sweet scents, and the layering is really great.

- And i got to try Tabac Exquis from Caron, i liked it, so maybe this one will be added in my wish list too.

Imperial + Diesel Fuel for Life.
Imperial like Imperial valley? Imperial valley has leather too, but it's surprisingly fresh, and the leather note is not like the "jacket", it's different. it's really amazing, especially on warm/summer days,

Good... :lambirb I don't know if I could describe it in a way that would make you understand. I guess I'll wear it tommorow and try maybe.

Using this for a while: NO HOME BAD. It is actually a sharp scent but the odor intensity is low, less like cologne but also less like immersive, intense aroma.
I can't really feel the second note, the first note is definitive and good with maybe 1-2 minute activity, and the third long-lasting one is very mild but steady and last for a day.
It also says eau de toilette but I did not find any issue when also use it sometimes on my arm or back of my hand, though better on cloth.

I am currently using/wearing my own made perfumes. One smells like a passionfruit, and the other smells like coffee. Made them in 2024.

Oh and also an Arab perfume given by an acquaintance of mine. No big brand though.

No big brand though.
Being a big brand doesnt mean anything, some cheap ones as said earlier are amazing and some expensive or big brands can suck, Sometimes, if not most of times many brands get their ingredients from same place being high end or cheaper, only really high niche fragrances get some rare and expensive ingredients. dont judge a fragrance by its price tag.

Oh you do your fragrance, thats interesting, its like custom making brands ? im curious about it.

eau de toilette qualification is about concentration.
"eau de toilette" is less concentrated than "eau de parfum" which is less conentrated than "extrait de parfum"

here is the chart

no, you re wrong, surely you can spray on cloth and actually it cool to spray a little on your jacet or scarf but fragrances are better on skin. they are mostly made of alcohol so yah it can irritate if you have any kind of sensitive skin or skin condition or on a wound. in that case go for perfume oils, or perfume with no alcohol or simply avoid the zone that can hurt. otherwise, its on skin that a fragrance shines better. Arm is good. usually its on pulse points aka neck, nape of the neck, wrist, etc. you can spray on hair but it might make them dry, better use hair mist, now many brands do them.

I very rarely use sprays on my skin. It's very sensitive to alcohol. Depends on the perfume too of course.

Videos from a guy who talks a lot about dupes have been recommended to me on YT these last few weeks :XD.

I was in a small perfume workshop in August 2024, and I got to make my own perfumes :nod
they are kinda light, and dont have long longevity. There were some heavy/masculine ingredients like the ones that smell like smoke, but at that time I had fever so I avoided them :XD (yeah I had fever and still went by motorcycle :lmao )

This one got stronger and lasts longer now! My nose got confused for a minute yesterday when I picking which one to wear. The lingering scent on a shirt I had worn a few days ago was still there but rather different.

@Demonspeed did you go last week to the Paris perfume week. I went and will tell a little about this and will post some pics when back from my trip.
No, I didn't.

I'll be waiting for your post! Didn't even know you were on a trip.

Maestro's Symphony today.
I saw the nots and it looks interesting to me, let us know, by any chance if the 1st try is meh to you, spray it later ideally after shower, and check on your wrist the evolution, let it sit down/macerate a few weeks or a couple of months and come back to it and see the magic working

As promised here a couple of pics from the event last week

so the Paris Perfume Week was a very nice experience. There were some well-known brands like Atelier Materi, Goldfield & Banks, Une Nuit Nomade, Parfums d’Empire, Le Bon Parfumeur etc, so that was great to finally smell things properly on skin instead of just reading about them.

But what I enjoyed the most was discovering all the indie brands. There were a lot of smaller houses, some really interesting ones from China (niche/ indie, quite unique stuff (exple last pic sorry I cant remember the name of the brand), the Japanese brand , Edit(H) on pic 2 was so great too. Actually they were a lot of international brands. I got to talk a bit with a few creators/founders, especially the creator of this brand Chris Collins (I dont know if its ok to post pics of the creators I met ) and they were actually super accessible and nice, which made the whole thing feel very genuine.

I smelled SO many good things (and also some weird ones too lol), but overall it was really worth it just for the discovery part. Definitely the kind of event where you realize how much is out there beyond the usual brands.

I want so many new things, most likely Tabac exquis from Caron, would be my next purchase. i liked too a lot Pacific Rock moss from Goldfield.
Still want my Ombre Nomade but seems i wont be able to get it anytime soon :crying

Thanks a lot Erinyes ! Even some pictures from there look very interesting. The bottle shape from the 4th pic reminded me my chem lab days, too :) I began thinking on maybe improving my smelling skills for better appreciation of perfumes, too.

It does smell good. I tried a bunch and it was between this and Oud Royal I think? Both smelled the best to me. I kinda regret my purchase though because I checked later and realized I could have had it cheaper.

I was planning to buy new perfumes and I stumbled there while doing grocery shopping. Was curious, spent too much time there and the advisor kept making me try new perfumes. I was thinking "Do I even have enough money on me right now?" but I started to feel bad and bought it with my card :sweatdrop .

The advisor was super cute! :zomg
