As someone who's worn glasses for 98% of his life, I'd have to agree with Hunt. You don't want frames that will obscure your view in any way, nor do you want to get a heavy frame (since it'll take it's toll on your nose bridge, and make recessions on the sides). You also want to know the PH level of your sweat; this will help you determine if you can wear glasses with metal arms or not. This is because acidic sweat can eat through the metal and destroy your glasses! Lastly, you might want to make sure that you get an extra pair of screws for your glasses, you wouldn't know how many times I've lost screws while working (get a screwdriver too)...
If you have the extra cash, and your grade isn't that high, I'd suggest getting
"Silhouette" frames. They're made of ultra lightweight titanium, and they allow for maximum view range because it's "rimless". I'd personally get them, but my grade is 5.25, and it's quite impossible for me to wear them without them falling off due to the sheer weight of my lenses. Apart from the light weight design, another cool thing about the silhouette frames is the fact that they're hinge-less! You'll never have to worry about screws coming off!
